Dave was avid fisherman and he enjoyed boating and making his own fishing tackle. He was a 1974 graduate of Jordan-Elbridge High School. Dave was predeceased by his father Lloyd Bennett in 1984 and his brother Larry Martin in 1997. Surviving are his mother, Helen E. Bennett of Skaneateles; two brothers, Lloyd J. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII in North Africa and Italy. A fighter pilot, he was credited with 38 enemy planes in the air and on the ground. Surviving are his wife and three children. Corona, 98, formerly of Oneida, NY, passed away in Syracuse at the Community General Hospital on July 17, 2005, after a brief illness. Jerry spent most of his life in Oneida, NY. He worked for the National Casket Company and later retired from Oneida City Hall. He was a lifetime member of the Owls Club. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and bowling. Later in his retirement he and his wife Charlotte lived for several years in California and in 2001 relocated to Auburn, NY. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Charlotte (Davis) Corona; five sons, Jerry H. (Nancy) Corona of California, Robert J. (Barbara) Corona of Sylvan Beach, Thomas (Andrea) Corona of Skaneateles, George (Janet) Walter of Seneca Falls, Lance Walter of Auburn; and two daughters, Katherine (Thomas) Accordino of Staten Island and Judy Corona of California; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Novek, Regina July 17, 2005 Mrs. Regina (Cragnolin) Novek, RN, 89, of Utica, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 17, 2005, at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica with her family by her side. After graduating from Utica Free Academy, she entered the nursing pro-gram at the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing where she received her RN in 1937. She began her career as a surgical nurse and was highly successful in this specialized area of her training. After her marriage on December 26, 1942, to Joseph G. Novek, MD, she set aside her professional life in order to devote herself to her family and her home, another career path in which she proved her worth, wisdom, and capabilities. Upon the death of her husband in 1969, she returned to work at the medical center, this time to a position in the ER where she gave dedicated service until she retired in 1987 at the age of 70. She was a communicant of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Utica. Regina is survived by her four children and their spouses: Jeanne M. Donovan of DeWitt, an RN at the Onondaga Health Dept., and her husband Michael; Sandra E. Gaetano of New Hartford, nurse practitioner, and her husband Brian; Ann L. Hanretty of Baldwinsville, an employee with Blue Cross Blue Shield, and her husband David; and Joseph P. Novek of Manlius, podiatrist, and his wife, Marcia. She is also survived by seven cherished grandchildren, Amy and Greg Daly, Sally Donovan, Joseph R. Novek, Erica Gaetano, Brittany Gaetano, Kyle Hanretty, and Kara Hanretty; a great-granddaughter, Sadie Daly; two brothers and their wives; and a number of other relatives, in-laws, and friends. Scott, Marian Fischle July 19, 2005 Marian Fischle Scott, known to her friends and family as Miki, died quietly at The Arbors in Shelburne, Vermont, on July 19, 2005. Miki was born on February 10, 1921, in Yonkers, New York, to Clarence and Olive Ely Fischle. Miki spent her girl-hood in Larchmont, New York, where she enjoyed sailing on the Long Island Sound, tennis, dancing, and evenings dancing to the Big Bands in New York City. She studied liberal arts at Colby Junior College in New Hampshire. While there she met her husband of 58 years, Jim Scott, who was a graduate student at Dartmouth. Jim and Miki were married on September 27, 1941, in her parents' garden in Larchmont. As newlyweds Jim and Miki lived in Syracuse, forming lifelong friendships that got them through the World War II years, their young family days, and many, many years of golf, bridge, boating in the 1000 Islands, travel, and fun. Miki is survived by her four children, James P. Scott of Natick, Mass., Beth Pine of Upland, Calif., Jeff Scott of Boxborough, Mass., and Deborah Alden of Essex Junction, Vermont; and her sisters, Esther Flowers of Larchmont, New York, and Lois Fischle of Syracuse. Miki was deeply committed to her community and served on many volunteer boards including the Everson Museum, the Syracuse Boys and Girls Club, the Junior League of Syracuse, and church circle at Park Central Presbyterian Church. Miki was an avid golfer and played regularly with friends at the Onondaga Golf and Country Club. Miki loved gardening and flower arranging, and was a longtime member of the Brockway Farms Garden Club. He was predeceased by his daughter Mary Margaret Wallace in 1962. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Wallace; his children, James Wallace of TX, Kathleen Antloga of OH, and Deborah Moore of MA; three sisters, Peggy Bumbera of NJ, Sophie Price of NJ, and Helen Loughran of VA; and six grandchildren. Funeral Services: 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home and 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, Fulton.
