Peggy was born in Shannonville, Ontario and lived most of her life in Syracuse. She retired from Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital in 1989. She loved being with her family, enjoyed gardening, camping and traveling. He volunteered for various youth organizations and was an avid athlete. Daughter of the late Harry and Beatrice Lincoln, she was born in Chittenango on July 4, 1920 and was a resident of the Hannibal area for 65 years. She married Daniel Cooper on October 31, 1941 and they would have celebrated their 64th anniversary this year. Camping and traveling was Euretta and Danny's favorite pastime over their many years of marriage. She also enjoyed all the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is listed in outstanding Elementary Teachers (1974) and Marquis Who's Who (1993-1998). She was also the National Scholarship Chair for the National League of American Pen Women from 1976 to 1998. She had one-person art shows at the University of Virginia, 1974; Historical Society of York, 1977 Cayuga Museum of History and Art, Auburn, New York, 1974 and York College 1984. Shirley joined her chemical engineer husband, drafted in 1943, at a series of military bases. While he was doing research at Columbia University on the Manhattan project, she taught in New Jersey. The Manhattan Project developed the Atomic Bomb. They were then transferred to Oak Ridge, Tennessee where she initially was a military secretary and later taught at Oak Ridge. In addition to her husband, Burton, Mrs. Helberg is survived by five children, Keir Helberg of London, England, Kristin Helberg of Baltimore, MD, Kecia Lau of Spring Grove, PA, Kandace Meade of Martha's Vineyard, MA, Kraig Helberg of Spring Grove, PA; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was born in Seneca Falls and lived in Baldwinsville since 1942. Fred was a Sgt. With the Baldwinsville Police Dept. for many years. A carpenter by trade, he built, remodeled and repaired houses for many years. Fred was a life member of the Baldwinsville Vol. Fire Dept. and a member of the American Legion Post #113. He was predeceased by a daughter, Cheree Wheeler Loucks, April 20, 2005; and his twin brother, Louie F. Wheeler. Survivors: his wife of 66 years, the former Luella Munson; a daughter, Paula Wheeler Haney of Baldwinsville; and a niece, Margie Able of Jordan.
