July 27, 2005 George P. Bisson, 70, a native of Manchester, NH and a 30 year resident of Liverpool, died Wednesday at Upstate Medical University after a year long illness. He was an Army veteran, a Pace University graduate, a member of AdministratorsManagement Association and a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral. He had been an Administrative Manager for Nationwide Insurance retiring in the mid 1990's after over 25 years of service. His brother, Maurice predeceased him in 1997. Surviving are his wife, June Heider Bisson; a brother, Adrien N. (Aline) Bisson of Manchester, NH; two sisters, Irene (Arthur) DesMeules of Manchester, NH and Phyllis Charest of Gardina, CA and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Hobaica of Utica. Everingham, Sr., 85, of 2020 Clark Hollow Road, LaFayette, died suddenly Wednesday following a heart attack. Mr. Everingham was a life resident of LaFayette. He attended Collingwood Elementary School, and graduatedValedictorian from LaFayette High School Class of 1937. In 1941, he graduated from Cornell with a BS in Ag. He was the 1940 Noble Ruler of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. In 2002 Mr. Everingham received the Outstanding Alumni Award from Cornell School of Ag & Life Sciences. Mr. Everingham had been a local and state leader in agriculture and education for more than 60 years. For half a century, he co-owned and operated the family's Cascadale Farm, first with his father, William then with son, Bob, Jr. In addition to farming, he worked full-time as Business Manager of the LaFayette Central School system, then Onondaga-Madison BOCES. His leadership includes serving for nearly 30 years (10 as president) for the Council on Rural Education, and co-founder of the NY Rural Schools Program, and later recipient of its Distinguished Service Award. In agriculture, he served as chair for the Onondaga County Dairy Herd Improvement Association, President of Onondaga County Farm Bureau, and Director and executive committee member of the New York State Farm Bureau. He had served on the Boards of LaFayette Central Schools, OM BOCES, Onondaga County Board of Health, Morrisville College Council, American Agriculturist Foundation and Chenango Mutual Insurance Company . He also served as Chairman for Blue Cross of Central NY, the NYS Milk Promotion Board, NY Farm Bureau Dairy Committee and the DEC Agricultural Advisory Council. He was a life member of LaFayette Columbian Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and Clerk of Session, a member and Past Master (1953) of the Tully Lodge #896 F&AM serving as assistant grand lecturer of Onondaga Masonic District. He was active in the LaFayette Historical Society and was presently serving as its President. He was U.S. Army veteran of WWII and received the distinguished Purple Heart Award. An active supporter of Cornell and the Ag College, he served on the Class of 1941 50th reunion committee, and most recently he was instrumental in the rebuilding campaign for the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity house. He was predeceased by his sister, Doris Williams; and by son, Bob, Jr. who died tragically in 1986 in a farm accident; in 1988 Bob, Sr. and wife, Blanche, established the Robert I. Everingham, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund at Cornell to sponsor Animal Science undergrad and graduate students. Surviving are his wife of 61 years the former, Blanche Bacorn; daughter, Carol J. Goff Sr., David J. July 27, 2005 David J. Goff, Sr., 80, formerly of 6464 Burleson Road, died Wednesday morning, July 27, 2005 at the Extended Care Facility of the Oneida Healthcare Center, where he had been a resident for the past three years. Born in Canastota, on May 3, 1925, he was the son of Floyd J. and Mabel McCarthy Goff. David was educated in the Stockbridge Valley schools. He married June A. Stewart on February 18, 1947 in Munnsville. Prior to his retirement, David was self-employed as a farmer and a carpenter, assisting with the building of Ft. Stanwix, Ft. St. Marie, traditional homes, and also contracted with Webb and Sons. He served as the Director of the Madison County Historical Society, Curator of the NYS Fair, was of the Methodist faith and was an avid deer hunter. Surviving besides his wife, June, are two daughters and one son-in-law, Marila and Bernard Wootton of Oneida, and Jody Goff of West Eaton; two sons and two daughters-in-law, David J. and Brenda Goff, Jr. of Peterboro, and Mark and Janice Goff of Oneida; eight grandchildren, Ryan Goff, Michael Goff, Ben Goff, Michelle Goff, Travis Goff, Heath Goff, Zachary Wootton, and Zane Wootton; and one great-grandchild, Kian Douglas Goff. David was predeceased by one son, Douglas Goff in September 1994. La Force, Evalyn July 27, 2005 Evalyn La Force went home to be with her Lord on July 27, 2005. Born Evalyn Ruth Houghton on October 8, 1915 to Roseanne Mae (Yager) and Allen P. Houghton, Evalyn lived nearly her entire life in Parish, NY. She graduated from Parish High School in 1934. In 1938 she married F. Owen La Force. They had three children, Brenda (Cooper) Leesburg, FL and Oswego, NY, Frazier of Porsgrunn, Norway and Jill, who died in 2004; her husband F. Owen La Force died in 1997. Evalyn is survived by two children; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three Siblings, Walter, Harold, and Alma. Evalyn worked as a beautician before her marriage and later worked in the Cafeteria at the Parish Elementay School retiring in 1977. A lifelong member of the Methodist Church in Parish, NY. Evalyn's Faith in Jesus and her love of family and friends, gave her much peace and strength. She'll be greatly missed and remembered by them. Ryan, Rosalie Anne July 26, 2005 Rosalie Anne Ryan, 58, of Fishersville, VA, and formerly of Manlius, NY, died Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at her residence. She was born September 3, 1946 in Connecticut, a daughter of Rosalie Ely Brown of Winchester, VA, and the late Charles D. Brown. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Wayne Ryan of Fishersville; three children and their spouses, Laurel and Matthew Eberl of Catonsville, MD, and Christy Ann and Robert Yenny and Andy and Ellen Ryan, all of Syracuse, NY; three brothers, Donald Brown of Fairfax, Robbie Brown of Spring, TX, and Anderson Brown of Poway, CA; three grandchildren, Charlotte and Evelyn Ryan, and Jack Eberl; and a number of nieces and nephews. Tiffany, Marie-Louise July 27, 2005 Marie-Louise Tiffany, 89, of Fayetteville, died July 27, 2005. She was a graduate of the Goodyear Burlingame School of Syracuse and the Madeira School, Fairfax, VA. She attended The Geneva College for Women in Geneva, Switzerland. Mrs. Tiffany was Past President of the Town and Country Garden Club, and the Civic Morning Musicals. She was a former member of the Junior League of Syracuse, Onondaga Golf and Country Club, and St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald in 1996. She is survived by her sister, Marcia Chase Bunch of New Cannan, CT; and several nieces and nephews. Williams, Joseph July 23, 2005 Joseph Williams, 62, of 261 Midler Ave, departed this life on Saturday, at Vivian Teal Howard Nursing Home after a long illness. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Maxine Williams; five daughters, Angela Washington (Bernard), LynnWilliams (Dwayne), Marie Mattison (Daryl), Natasha Williams (Kenneth) and Doris Cox all of Syracuse; two sons, Darnell Williams, Sr. and David Hunter, Jr. both of Syracuse; six stepchildren, Alex Carter (Deb), Reba Carter, Wanda Kitching, Tasha Jackson (Jay) and Tiffany Johnson-Graine, all of Syracuse and Raymond Kitching of West Palm Beach, FL; three brothers, George Canery, Jr., Leon Conners (Litisha) and Elijah Ford all of Syracuse; one sister, Carolyn Canery of Mullens, SC; 51 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. (Chrostowski) Wojtalewski, 81, of Lyncourt, passed away Wednesday at James Square Nursing Home after a long illness. Bertha was born in Scranton, PA and moved to Syracuse at a young age. Bertha was a past president of the General Pulaski Post 1650 Women's Auxiliary, and a past volunteer for Meals-On-Wheels. She worked as a hairdresser for most of her life. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Joseph Wojtalewski, Sr.; her son, Joseph (Janet) Wojtalewski, Jr., of East Syracuse; two daughters, Kathy Wojtalewski of Lyncourt, and Debbie Patchett of Clay. She is also survived by her four grandsons, Adam, Todd (Jessica), Eric (Eva) Wojtalewski and Alex Patchett; one granddaughter, Danielle Patchett; one great-grandson, Evan Wojtalewski; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Saturday 8:45 a.m. at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. Transfiguration Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
