He enjoyed gardening. Member of the Chamber of Commerce, N.Y.S. Retail Assoc., Better Business Bureau, and a member of St. John's Church. Born in Oneonta, Mr. Barlow was a resident of the Kirkville area since 1960. He was employed by AT&T, then Lucent Technologies for over 30 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Kirkville Wesleyan Church. Mr. Barlow was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Rose D.; a son, Kenneth V. She was a past member of CSEA Unit 9, treasurer of Corcoran High School Alumni Association and a member of Onondaga Valley Cemetery Board of Trustees. Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, John DeOrdio who died August 19, 1993; and a daughter, Beth who died February 18, 1966. She had worked as a Secretary at the Fuller Brush Co. in New York City. She was predeceased by two husbands, Sigmund Mazur in 1970 and John Wasack in 2001. Surviving are her son, Sigmund V. Mazur of Bernhards Bay; and two grandsons, Sigmund C. Mazur of Liverpool and John Mazur of W. Palm Beach, FL. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2005 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cleveland with burial at a later date in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Syracuse. Born and educated in Syracuse, she worked for Syracuse China and the City of Syracuse. She was a communicant of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus where she was a member of the Rosary Society and a former member of the Paderewski Choir. Survivors: two sisters, Lottie Bogdan of Mesa, AZ and Mary J. Grudzinski of Syracuse; a brother, Mathew Wojcik of Syracuse and several nieces and nephews. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at the GIMINSKI-WYSOCKI FUNERAL HOME and 11 a.m. at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Interment: Sacred Heart Cemetery Geddes.
