May 30, 2005 Fred K. Aboud, Sr., died May 30, 2005. He formerly owned the
Variety Mart in Brewerton and was a real estate broker. Surviving are his son,
Fred K. Aboud, Jr.; two grandsons, Nicholas J. and Daniel M. Aboud; two
brothers, Nicholas and Edward. Funeral services and burial were private.

May 31, 2005 Theresa L. Bristol, 72, of Oswego, died Tuesday. Surviving are a
daughter, Deborah Geddes; a son, John Bristol III; two brothers, Harley
William James and Francis Joseph James; and a sister, Helen Henderson. Funeral

Carballo, Lina (Vercelloni)   
June 1, 2005 Lina (Vercelloni) Carballo, 103, of Solvay, passed away in the
presence of her nephew and the loving Nursing and Senior Health Care Aides on
the 5th floor, Cunningham Unit of Loretto. Born in the Village of Sizzano in
the Piedmont Region of Northern Italy, she came to America in 1907 with her
parents. She has resided in Solvay all her life and was a communicant of St.
Cecilia's Church. Lina worked for Sears & Roebuck Co. for 40 years as a
dispatcher in the warehouse, retiring in 1967. She may have been the oldest
living retiree of Sears. Her family came first and she was devoted to caring
for her parents, brothers and sisters. Lina was predeceased by her beloved
husband Antonio in 1954. Surviving are a nephew, several nieces in the area,
several great-nephews and great-nieces across the country. Services will be
conducted at 8 a.m. Saturday in Bagozzi Twins Funeral Home and 8:45 a.m. in
St. Cecilia's Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be
in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the

May 29, 2005 Norman Crofoot, 81, died May 29 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
Manager for NY Telephone, retired after 38 years in 1983. WWII Army veteran
and life member of Telephone Pioneers. Survived by his wife, Sara (Halstead)
Crofoot; twodaughters, Sue Ferris of Lakeport, Cheryl Pede of Minoa; six
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Service Monday, June 6 at St

June 1, 2005 George Gobin, 53, of Baldwinsville, passed away Wednesday at
Crouse Hospital. Born in Malone, George was a tool grinder with Roll Way
Bearing. He was a life member of the Moyers Corners Fire Department. He is
sur-vived by his wife of 30 years, Linda; three children, Misty, Shawn and
Paul; three sisters, Marguerite Gobin, Claire (Francis) Robert and Jackie
Gobin all of Malone and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 10

Halloran, Lawrence A.   
June 1, 2005 Lawrence A. Halloran, 92, of Memphis, died Wednesday. Born in
Syracuse, he was a Dairy farmer, ran Gillie Brook Stables and with his wife
founded Gillie Lake which they ran from 1965 to 1981. He was a communicant of
St. Joseph's Church and was predeceased by his wife, the former Dorothy
Edwards in 1992. Survived by a son, Lawrence M. (Nancy) of Camillus; three
daughters, Nancy A. (Roger) Pyle of San Jose, CA, Patricia M. (Joseph) Stephan
of Baldwinsville and Maureen A. (John) Ryan of Stone Lake, WI; 14
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services are 10:15 a.m. Monday at
B.L. Bush & Sons, 10 Genesee St., Camillus and 10:30 at St. Joseph's Church.

June 1, 2005 John "Doc" Kachnycz, 88, of Auburn, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005.
He was a life resident of Auburn, and an Army veteran of WWII. He retired from
the Auburn School District in 1979. He was a member of SS Peter & Paul Church,
Ukrainian National Club, Sicz Club, and Cymbrak-Fallat Post, American Legion.
Survivors: Sister, Helen Abraham; brother, Peter Kachnycz, both of Auburn, a

June 1, 2005 Pauline D. Kyff, 95, of Verona, NY, died Wednesday. She was the

Randall, Brian Curtis
May 27, 2005 Brian Curtis Randall, 33, of Tamarac, Florida, formerly of
Bainbridge, NY, unexpectedly died on Friday, May 27, 2005. Brian was born in
Oneida, NY, on July 20, 1971. He was a 1990 graduate of Bainbridge-Guilford
High School and attended SUNY Oneonta. He worked on the family farm until
moving to Sunrise, FL, in 1995. He worked as a water purification technician
in south Florida. He was a faithful fan of the Dallas Cowboys as well as
NASCAR; however, his greatest joy in life was his family. Brian was a very
generous, loving and thoughtful husband, daddy, son, brother and uncle. Brian
touched the lives of everyone he knew and he will be deeply missed by all, but
never forgotten. He is survived by his wife of six years, Michelle Randall,
and loving children, Kaitlynn Marie and Joshua Curtis Randall. He is also
survived by his father, David (Jeanne) Randall of Bainbridge, NY; grandmother,
Gertrude Randall; mother, Carol (Zeke) Keeney of Sunrise, FL; brother, Phillip
(Amy) Randall of Chittenango, NY; brother, Ronald (Lorre) Randall of

Roundy, John "Bob"   
December 15, 2004 Joint funeral services for John "Bob" Roundy, 79 who died on
December 15, 2004 and his wife Frances Mae (Goodfellow) Roundy, 52 who died
March 23, 1980 will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima RC Church
inNorth Syracuse followed by a burial in North Syracuse Cemetery. Bob was born
in Tully and after graduating from Tully High School in 1942 he served with
the US Nay during WW II. He worked in the Barrett Division of Allied Chemicals
and was active in the Fremont Lanes Senior bowling league along with the
Manlius Rod and Gun Club.March 23, 1980 Frances was born in Fayetteville and
graduated from the Fayetteville High School in 1945. She was an avid bowler
and golfer, belonging to Greenview Golf Club, Northern Pines Golf Course and
Lakeview Lanes. She drove SchoolBus for many years for the North Syracuse
School District. They are survived by two sons, Daniel (Cynthia) Roundy of
Liverpool and David Roundy of Rochester; their three grandchildren, Shawn,
Justin and Eric Roundy; Bob's Companion, Marge Rydelek; his two sisters, Doris
Donovan of Tucson, AZ and Elizabeth Farkas of Zephyrhills, FL; Frances'
sister, Ann Chawgo of Tully; several nieces and nephews. Contributions may be

Rutan, Betty V.
June 2, 2005 Betty V. Rutan, 69, of 5873 Creek Rd., died Thursday morning,
June 2, 2005, in the Oneida Extended Care Facility. She was born April 17,
1936, in Oneida, the daughter of Ransom and Avaline Cheseboro Rood. She was
married to the late Norman S. Rutan, who died on August 1, 2004. She was
formerly employed with the Gold Pack Corp. in Oneida. Surviving are one son
and daughter-in-law, Norman and Shawn Rutan, of Arizona; six daughters and
five sons-in-law; Valerie and William Looft, of Oneida; Ginger and Phillip
Tucker, of Cazenovia; Elaine Clark, of Munnsville; Norma and Joseph Happle, of
Oneida; Adrian and Michael Bashaw, of Oneida; and Nanette and Edward Happle,
of Oneida; five brothers, Carl Rood of Utica; Norton "Shorty" Rood, of West
Edmeston; Dick Rood of Port Byron; Doug Rood, of Camden and Robert Rood of
Munnsville; two sisters, Bonnie Anderson, of Munnsville, and Shirley Rood, of
Munnsville; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Amanda Tucker and
a brother, Vernon. Funeral services will Saturday, at 10 a.m., from the
Coolican-McSweeney Funeral Home, Oneida. Interment will be in Glenwood
Cemetery, Oneida. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral
home.

Spillett, Daniel Edward   
May 31, 2005 Daniel Edward Spillett, 48, of Liverpool, passed away May 31,
after a courageous battle with cancer, in the loving arms of his family. One
of Dan's greatest passions was playing and coaching lacrosse where he was
assistant at Liverpool HighSchool for the past 12 years. He was named Section
III Lacrosse Man of the Year for CNY in 1997 and 2005. He was a volunteer with
Camp Good Days and Special Times, Jamesville Beach Balloon Festival, and the
Moyers Corners Fire Department. Dan loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending
time at his camp on Skaneateles Lake. He is predeceased by his father, Allan
Spillett. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Julie; son Brandon; and
daughter, Sarah; mother, Nancy Spillett of Camillus; brothers, William
(Janice), Gary, Thomas (Stacey), and James Spillett of Camillus; sisters,
Theresa Spillett of Camillus, Katie Spillett and Nancy Ziobro of Cicero; 10
nieces; 13 nephews. Services will be held, 10 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2005 in
Liverpool First United Methodist Church, 604 Oswego St., Liverpool. Burial

Stykowska, Anna
June 1, 2005 Anna Stykowska, 90, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday. Born and
educated in Poland, she retired from the Hotel Syracuse after 17 years of
service. She was a communicant of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Survivors: a daughter, Jeannie Stykowski of Central Square; a son, Thaddeus
(Danuta) Stykowski of Brewerton; a granddaughter, Nicole; and two grandsons,
Robert and Mark. Her husband, Stanislaw, passed away in 1988. Services: 9 a.m.
Monday at the GIMINSKI-WYSOCKI FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 a.m. at the Basilica of
