Born in Syracuse, he was a graduate of St. Anthony's High School and Syracuse University. He served with the US Navy during WWII. He was employed withDavis-Fetch Acoustical Corp. of Syracuse, retiring in 1991 and previously was employed with US Gypsum of Syracuse. He was a communicant of Holy Cross Church in DeWitt and a member of the Holy Name Society for many years. He was predeceased by his wife, Eloise Barry in 1987. Ilene was a native of Norwich, NY and was a Syracuse area resident for most of her life. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and Legion of Mary. She was also a member of the Syracuse City Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary. Her husband, George predeceased her in 1975. Hudson, Sandra Kerr May 30, 2005 Sandra Kerr Hudson, 68, of Bedford, NH, died May 30, 2005 in Manchester, NH after complications from injuries related to her accident and paralysis suffered in 1979. Born in Syracuse, NY in April 1937, she was the daughter of John Alexander and Kathryn (Ryan) Kerr. She graduated from Cortland State Teachers College in New York and taught grades 2 through 6 in Syracuse and Camillus, NY, Virginia Beach, VA and Sandy, UT. Ms. Hudson was a member of the New York State Teachers Association. She had been active in local music theaters in Syracuse, Virginia Beach, Sandy and Sparta, NJ. Kilts, 91, of 124 Pleasant Street, Canastota, died Saturday at Oneida Healthcare Center, following a brief illness. He was born on August 18, 1913 in the Town of Lenox, the son of Charles and Eliza Hayes Kilts. Leonardlived in Canastota all his life, attending the Canastota schools. He had worked at General Electric in Syracuse for 15 years, retiring in 1976. He had previously worked at the former Henney Motors in Canastota for many years. Leonard was instrumental in starting P & S Concrete Products, Ltd., in Chittenango. He married Lillian M. Wheeler on February 1, 1934, in New Woodstock. Lillian died on April 2, 2000. Survivors: Three sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Joan Kilts, and Judson and Janice Kilts, all of Canastota, and Peter and Sharon Kilts of Chittenango; seven grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Sharon Bryson; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. McMahon, 93, died Sunday, June 5 at The Nottingham. She was born in Scranton, PA, and lived in SanDiego, CA and Syracuse. While Marie lived in SanDiego, she was a member of the Children of Mary of The Society of the Sacred Heart,and the Auxiliary of the Sisters of Social Service. In Syracuse, she was a longtime communicant of St. Ann's Church, and served for many years as a promoter for the Bangladesh Missionary of Father Gerald McMahon C.S.C. She will be mourned by many as a beloved and loyal friend. Marie was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Raymond J. McMahon in December, 1981; her parents, Luke A. and Catherine E. Crimmins; two sisters, Catherine T. Osborn and Isabelle A. Crowe; and one brother, Edward J. Crimmins. She is survived by two sisters, Margaret E. McElwain and Anne L. Donald June 5, 2005 Rev. Donald Moody, 91, of LaFayette, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2005 at Community General Hospital after a long illness. Born in Harriman, New York, February 8, 1914, he was a graduate of Mansfield State Teacher's College in Pennsylvania, attendedDrew Seminary in New Jersey, and graduated from Colgate Rochester Divinity School in Rochester, New York. He served as a Methodist pastor in the central New York area over 60 years. He was Pastor Emeritus of the Onondaga Nation United Methodist Church. He served as LaFayette town historian from 1985 to 2003. He was an Eagle Scout in his youth, and active in the Boy Scouts of America for many years. He was a member of the Tully Masonic Lodge. He is survived by a son, Donald Lewis of Marietta; a daughter, Priscilla of Gilbert, Arizona; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter, Prudence in 1991. Wightman's spirit was suddenly called upon on Thursday, June 2, 2005, while on business in London, England. Mark Wightman, 34, was a native of DeRuyter, NY, and a 1988 graduate of DeRuyter Central School. Mark went on to attend Ithaca College, where he graduated in 1992. Later he completed his MBA at the prestigious Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. Mark Wightman passed suddenly in London, England, while on business with Lucent Technologies. Currently residing in Basking Ridge, NJ, he and his family formerly resided in Hellertown, PA, and Apex, NC, where he was employed by Bell & Howell, and Ericsson, respectively. Mark is survived by his wife, Jeannine A. Wightman (Asterino), and his two sons, Tyler Howard and Jacob James. He is also survived by his mother, Karin Wightman of DeRuyter, NY; father, Paul Wightman of Sanford, NC; sisters, Julie Wightman of Rochester, NY, and Amy Frank (Wightman) of Farmington, CT; and grandmothers, Hazel Wightman, Cazenovia, NY, and Helen Kritsberg of Syracuse, NY. Wilson, Shirley Pauline June 3, 2005 Shirley Pauline Wilson, 86, of Roanoke, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 3, 2005. She was born on July 14, 1918 in Oswego, NY and spent the greater part of her life raising her four children in Pulaski, NY. She moved to Roanoke to be near her daughters and worked for the Marriott Hotel as a dining room manager. After retirement, she worked part time at the Orange Dog in Towers Mall. Her love for her family and her animals gave her great joy throughout her life. Her surviving family includes her husband, Fred Wilson of Pulaski, NY; son, Paul Wilson and wife, Sandra, of Pulaski, NY; daughters, Diane Ball and husband, Neal, of Salem, VA, Joene Burroughs and husband, Fred, of Blacksburg, VA, and Tanya Mitchell and husband, Ralph, of Salem, VA; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alta Foster; two nieces; and a dear friend, Rita Burroughs.
