Molly was born March 5, 1917, in Tres Ritos, New Mexico, and resided in Toledo, Ohio, before moving to Syracuse in 1943. She attended Man-hattanville College and was the widow of Richard T. Hughes, who died in 1993. Throughout her lifetime she gave generously of her time and talents to volunteer work covering a broad spectrum of community activities. These included the United Way, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, Everson Museum and the Republican Party. A 30-year solicitor for the United Way Campaign, she served as district chairman for more than 12 years. For many years she served as vice chairman of the City Planning Commission and was a member of the Syracuse Onondaga Planning Commission. A communicant of Immaculate Conception of Fayetteville, she also served on the parish council of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Her former board memberships have included the Junior League, Syracuse Garden Club, Visiting Nurses Association, Volunteer Center, Onondaga County Girl Scouts, Corinthian Foundation, of which she was a founding member, Regional Planning and Development Board, ALPHA-CHIPS Health Planning Agency and the Central NY Kidney Disease Society. She is survived by her two sons, James (Charlene) of Fayetteville, NY, and George (Madeleine) of Annapolis, MD; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Noyes was raised in Manlius, New York, joined the U.S. Navy for four years active duty followed by 17 more years in the U. S. Naval Reserves, during which time he attended several universities. He spent the last 28 years with Chevron as a lab supervisor. Mr. Noyes was active in the Sierra Club and with First Baptist Church in Mauriceville, TX. Most recently he was attending classes at Kingwood College working on a degree in nursing and was a member there of Phi Theta Kappa Society. Roberts, 67, a retired Niagara Mohawk Power Company employee and husband of Margaret Fraser Roberts, passed away at his summer camp in Boonville on Saturday, June 18, 2005.
