June 21, 2005 Marjory E. Bentinck-Smith, age 75, of 5 Horizon Dr., Ithaca, NY, died Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at her cottage on Cayuga Lake. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. John Bentinck-Smith, DVM who died May 12, 2005. Born November 8, 1929 at Pontiac, MI, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Evelyn Cassel Ellis. Passionate about her family and friends, Marjory is survived by a daughter, Laura Bentinck-Smith of St. Petersburg, FL; son, Alan Bentinck-Smith of Syracuse, NY, son, Roger Bentinck-Smith of Starkville, MS, son, James (Suzi Jackson) Bentinck-Smith of Valparaiso, IN; grandchildren, Tyler Jackson Bentinck-Smith and Davis Jackson Bentinck-Smith of Valparaiso, IN; sister, Beverly Klepp of Poughkeepsie, NY; a brother, Donald (Dee) Ellis of Framingham, MA. Marjory was raised in Buffalo, NY and was a graduate of Buffalo State University. Her first teaching job was in Ripley, NY after which she became a Home Extension and 4-H Agent in Ithaca, NY. Retiring from these positions upon her marriage on July 15, 1961. Dr. and Mrs. Bentinck-Smith resided in Ithaca and later moved to Starkville, MS where they still maintain a residence. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, reading, spending time at the lake and being with her family and friends. June 19, 2005 Angela Ida Cerone Cimino, 85, of 60 Marmot Circle, Jamesville, died at her home on Sunday. Born in Collelongo, Italy, she lived in the Syracuse area most of her life. She graduated from Eastwood High School with honors. She attended SUNYESF where she was accredited with being the oldest student and received a degree in Architectural Engineering, she also worked in the Dean's Office. She was an executive secretary with Burnhans & Black, a manufacturing representative, and Stover Butler & Murphy, an accounting firm, during and after WWII. During WWII, she was a volunteer at the Syracuse USO. Thereafter, she was the Secretary-Treasurer of Stephen J. Cimino, Custom Designed Homes, for 30 years. Homes were built in Onondaga Hill, Fayetteville, Manlius and DeWitt. She was a past communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville and St. Daniel's Church and a member of the church choir. She was a past member of the Syracuse Chorale, Syracuse Rose Society and Lyncourt Fire Department Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Stephen J. Cimino in 1998. Survivors: two sons, Stephen Lance Cimino of Skaneateles and Robert Cimino of DeWitt; a daughter, Dr. Kathleen M. Kantak of Newburyport, MA; a brother, William E. Edith loved her family and friends and loved to entertain. She was employed as a secretary with Syracuse China way back when it was called Onondaga Pottery. She was known for walking her beloved Collie dogs in the Valley area. Born in Syracuse, Mrs. Clark was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and active with the Church Guild. She was a member of Valley VIP'S, Onondaga Hill Senior Citizens, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Jail Ministries. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Clark who died in 1975. He was an army veteran in WWII and prisoner of war for nine months where he was reunited with his brother who had also been captured. Mr. Johnson worked as a foreman for the RE Dietz Company. He is survived by his wife, Leona (Poky) of 63 years; a son, Bruce and his wife, Kristine; and five grandchildren; a son, Doug, Jr., died in 1996. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He resided at 304 Montrose Avenue and was the son of Herman and Helen Kaske who predeceased him. He graduated from Solvay High School in 1936 and attended Syracuse University. Born in Binghamton, NY, Bernie was a graduate of North High School in Binghamton and attended college in Washington, DC. He was theowner of Puglisi Real Estate which he operated for over 30 years on the south side of Syracuse. He was branch manager for Darling, Blue Boy and Pride of Utica Ice Cream companies. Bernie was past president of the Valley Men's Club, South Side Business Association, and Onondaga Valley Association. He was a longtime member of St. James Church where he served as a member of the parish council and was a member of the Onondaga Central School Board. He served on the Professional Standards Committee for the Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors and on the Assessment Review Board for the City of Syracuse. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Bernie was predeceased by his parents, Dominic and Josephine (DeScipio) Puglisi and a brother, Dr. Richard Puglisi. Weaver, Kenneth H. June 18, 2005 Kenneth Homer Weaver, 65, of 111A Whispering Maple Drive, died Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Palmette Baptist Medical Center in Easley. Born in Watertown, NY, he was the son of the late Ralph Kenneth and Minnesota Smith Weaver. He was a government inspector with Rollway Bearing Bearing. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Linda Jeanette Weaver of the home; sons, Kenneth Weaver, Jr., Charles, Robert, Steven and David Weaver; daughter, Theresa Trumbower; brothers, Ralph and William Weaver; sisters, Sylvia Weaver, Jeanette Charlebois, Susan Lowe, Ruth Wells, Wendy Montreal and Vicky Weaver; sixteen grandchildren. She resided on Euclid Drive, Fayetteville for 40 years before moving to Florida in 1991. She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Philip Winter, A Bristol Myers Squibb retiree who died in 1981. She is survived by her only child, Captain John Winter , (Ret), Syracuse Police Department, and daughter-in-law, Susan, they also reside in Palm Harbor. She also leaves three sisters in Illinois; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and past president of the Syracuse Rose and Iris Societies and was honored by the City of Syracuse for her work in the Thornden Park rose garden.
