A lifelong resident of Syracuse and graduate of Henninger High School in 1965, Ronald was a master licensed plumber, vice president legis-lator of the American Society Plumbing Engineers, an honorary member of the Onondaga County Plumbers Association, and member of the Examining Board. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was employed by the Onondaga County Department of Water Environment Protection as a plumbing control supervisor. He was a bus driver for the Chittenango Central School District for 38 years, retiring in 1981. He was also employed for many years at the P&C in Chittenango. He was a past police commissioner for the Village of Chittenango and was a founding member of the Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum. He was predeceased by his wife Audrey, who died in 2004, and a son Steve, who died in 1993. Williams, Ralph Perry June 25, 2005 Ralph Perry Williams, 80, born 1924, Paterson, NJ, a veteran of WWII, European theatre, wounded in Germany, a recipient of the Purple Heart, and now an enrolled member of the American Legion Post 1259 in Cayuga died at his home Sat-urday, June 25, 2005. Mr. Williams was educated at the Dwight Preparatory School for Boys, and majored in Industrial Management at University of Bridgeport, and Champlain College. He was president of Cayuga Bulk Service, Inc. from 1952-1995, a member of the Kiwanis Club, and trustee on the board of the Cayuga Methodist Church. He was captain of the Agape' for 10 years, and a member of the Auburn Power Squadron. Following his retirement, he became a proficient computer user, digital photographer and recordkeeper. His other hobbies included pond and water gardening, bird watching and feeding. He is survived by his cherished wife of 55 years, Betty Irish Williams, and his four devoted daughters, Susan Penelope (Williams) and close family friend, James L. Chayka, Priscilla Diane (Stephen H.) Bazar, Kathy Jeannette (Dr. William) Burke, and Cindy Louise (Christos) Tzetzis; 12 grandsons; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Virginia Sharkey of Sarasota, FL, and Doris Sheffer of LaJolla, CA, and sister-in-law Charlotte Williams of Camden, NY. Mr. Williams also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his only brother, David H. Williams of Camden, NY in 1984. There will be no calling hours.
