Eric was born in Utica, NY and was a graduate of Hamilton High School and received his BS from Trinity College, Connecticut. Hav-ing been Head Greens Keeper at Drumlins Country Club he transitioned to Associate Director and then Managing Director of Drumlins Operating Corporation and enjoyed a 30-year affiliation with Syracuse University. Eric enjoyed an active lifestyle. He was an avid mountaineer, marathon runner, bicyclist, sailor, and lover of elderberry pie. He was the recipient of the 2004 Leukemia and Lymphoma society of CNY's Ernie Davis Courage award. He served on the Board of Directors of the CNY Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for many years including those prior to and during his illness. He is much loved and will be missed by his climbing partner, love, and friend of 32 years, his wife of 25 years, Barbara. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran with 23 years of military service, a fighter pilot instructor during World War II and a member of 138th Fighter Squadron at Hancock Field. He retired as a U.S. Air Corp Captain. He was a graduate of Georgia schools and Syracuse University military programs, a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Powder Springs, GA, and owner-operator of Shady Vent Aluminum Products, Inc. He was a 32nd degree Mason. While in Syracuse he was employed at Syracuse Glass Co. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Mary Frances Richards, sister of the late Mary Frances Richards Olson and the twin sister of the late Virginia Richards Fidelman. Mrs. Nair was a graduate of Crafton High School in Pittsburgh where she was the salutatorian of her class. A 1939 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio, she received her degree in French with honors and was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Following her graduation from the Pinkerton School of Business in Pittsburgh, she was employed as an executive secretary for the Alcoa Aluminum Company in Pittsburgh for several years. A dedicated wife and mother, Mrs. Nair was also an avid bowler and an outstanding gardener. She won numerous ribbons at the New York State Fair for her prized tuberous begonias and her flower arranging. A lifelong Methodist, she was a member of the Shenendehowa United Methodist Church. Elizabeth's loving husband of 59 years, John H. Nair, passed away in June 2004. She is survived by her two daughters, Laura E. Nair and Jennifer A. Newman, Paul E. February 27, 2005 Paul E. Newman, age 94, of Indianapolis, died February 27, 2005. He was born May 14, 1910 in Culver, IN. He was a graduate of Purdue University and had advanced degrees from the University of Wisconsin and Cornell University. Paul retired in 1966, after 30 years with the Beacon Milling Co. of Cayuga, NY. He was a member and past-president of the American Feed Manufacturers Association and member of Rotary International of Auburn, NY and Leesburg, FL. He was also chairman of the Cayuga County United Way board for two years, and a member of the Union Springs Central School Board for 10 years, and chairman for two years. He was a member of Cayuga United Methodist Church and was active with Cayuga County Boy Scouts and the YMCA. Paul participated in the Great Race for many years and became the oldest person to complete the race in 2000 when he was 90 years old. Paul had resided in central Florida for 28 years prior to moving to Indianapolis in September 2004. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Julie R.
