March 1, 2005 Richard E. Bury, 89, of Nelson, New York, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005 following a brief illness. He was born in Roscoe, NY, graduated from Roscoe High School and had been a resident of Nelson since 1947. Richard was a man of many talents and few words. He spent his life caring for his family, his animals and his land. He was a master carpenter and cabinet maker and was Nationally known for his Early American reproduction furniture. He was a retired school bus driver for the Morrisville-Eaton School system. He was a member of the Welsh Church, treasurer of the Welsh Church Cemetery Association. He was committed to the historic preservation of both the Church and the cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma; two daughters, Amanda Bury and Pamela (Joseph) Lewis; three grandsons, Ben, Sam and Jake Lewis; and his cat, Milo. A memorial service is planned for the spring. A native of Oswego, she resided in Fulton most of her life. Mrs. Greco was a floral designer with her husband who owned and operated Al's Florist Shop in Fulton from 1954 to 1982. She previously worked at Nestle Company and Sealright Company, both in Fulton. She was a communicant of The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Fulton, and formerly St. Joseph's Church, Oswego. Surviving her are her husband of 66 years, Alfred P. Greco of Fulton; a son, Alfred R. (Joyce) Greco of Macedon; a daughter, Gayle (Gene) Manley of Raleigh, North Carolina; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Helbling Wayson, Emma Louise Helbling Wayson March 2, 2005 Emma Louise Helbling Wayson, 72, of Syracuse, NY, passed away suddenly Wednesday morning at her home. Born in Ripley, Ohio, she was a graduate of Ripley Union Lewis High School. She was a communicant of St. Michaels Church in Ripley, Ohio. Louise had lived in Syracuse since 1962 and worked in the Department of Neurology at Upstate Medical Center/University Hospital since 1970, holding most recently the title of "Residency Coordinator" until her death. Her sister, Gina Helbling who died in 1968, predeceases her. Surviving are her sisters, Trese Seipelt and Joan Bridges, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rita Dunbar of Florida, Margaret Scott of Ripley, Ohio; a brother, Raymond Helbling of Ripley, Ohio; daughters, Beth Anne Wayson Gifford of Issaquah, WA, Anne Louise Wayson Fornasiero of Amherst, NY, and Lauren Marie Wayson of Cincinnati, OH; sons, William W. Frank was a construction worker and a member of the Union of Operating Engineers Local 545 for over 50 years. Frank was the former Fire Chief of Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a 52-year member of the Masonic Lodge 270 Oneida and a member of the Peterboro Conservation Club. Sindoni, 91, formerly of Willumae Drive, Syracuse, died Monday, February 28, at Birchwood Health Care Center. A lifelong Syracuse resident, Mr. Sindoni was a graduate of Vocational High School. He was the founder and president of Joseph J. Sindoni Wholesale Foods located at 626 North Salina Street in Syracuse for 58 years. In his many years in business, Mr. Sindoni supplied hospitals, schools and fine restaurants throughout central New York with fresh produce and canned goods. He also supported the cultural heritage of the north side by supplying wine grapes, Christmas trees, seasonal flowers and ethnic specialties to the largely Italian population. During World War II, Mr. Sindoni was a civil service representative engaged in supplying food products to factory workers involved in the war effort. Professionally he was involved with the Stewards' Club and Northside Businessmen's Association. He was a founding member of VOIE (Voters of Italian Extraction) and the Amicitia Club. He was also a member of the Lincoln Republican Club. He was a past president of the CBA Men's Club and an active parishioner at St. John the Baptist parish. Mr. Sindoni was instrumental in fund drives with both organizations. Golf was one of his favorite pastimes, and he was part of the ORBS group at Tuscarora Country Club where he was a member for over 30 years. Mr. Sindoni also maintained a winter home in Delray Beach, Florida. A devoted family man, his greatest joy was time spent with his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Angela in 1995, his son-in-law Anthony Ranieri in 2005, and his sister Angeline Lamanna in 2005. Mr. Sindoni is survived by a son, John P. (Cecilia) Sindoni of Cicero; two daughters, Catherine Ranieri of Syracuse and Suzanne (David) Honold of Fayetteville; 12 grandchildren, Christine, Joseph and Julie Ranieri, David (Melissa), Robert and Kathryn Honold, and Joseph (Stephanie), Valerie, Michael, Laura, Andrew and Nicholas Sindoni; a great- granddaughter, Isabella Sindoni; one brother, Paul (Susan) Sindoni; and four sisters, Josephine Nicoletti, Genevieve (Frank) Vavonese, Santina Sindoni and Antoinette Pitonzo; and many nieces and nephews.
