Carney, 74, of Nelson, died Thursday at the VA Medical Center. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he had lived in Nelson for the past four years, previously living in Florida. An Army Veteran of the Korean War, he was a recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a member of American Legion Post #88 in Cazenovia and a longtime member of the Elk's Club in Florida. He is predeceased by his sister, Irene in 1998. Surviving are his son, David; his daughters, Diane Bland of Nelson and Lois Carney of Fair Hope Alabama; his brother, Edward T. of Springfield, NJ; and three grandchildren. He had retired after 40 years from Crucible, where he was a member of the Steel Workers Union. Mr. Deluca was a graduate of Vocational High School, a veteran of the Army during WorldWar II, a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, a member of the Holy Name Society, a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society and a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital. While a resident of Syracuse, Mrs. Freshman was the office manager for Fleischman's Furniture for over 50 years, a founding and charter member of the Seniors Group at Temple Adath Yeshurun where she served as secretary. She was a life member of Hadassah: the Red Mogan David, and was active on several Jewish communal organizations. Mrs. Freshman was predeceased by her husband, Milton Freshman in 1999. She retired from the Learbury Clothing Co. after 40 years of employment and was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America. March 4, 2005 John F. Kelly, 80, of 90 East Seneca St. in Oswego, died Friday, at the Oswego Hospital. Mr. Kelly was born in Rochester, and had lived in the Mexico-Oswego area since 1980. He was the son of the late Thomas and Anna (Burns) Kelly.He was the husband of the late Mabel Jean (Babcock) Kelly, who died in 1995. Mr. Kelly was a veteran of the US Navy. He had been employed as a Lockmaster, and later as Chief of Channel Maintenance, with the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corp. in Massena. He retired in 1980. Mr. Kelly was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Oswego, and served as a volunteer with the H. Lee White Marine Museum. Surviving are four daughters, Patricia (Stafford) Brown of Massena, Susan (Barry) Victory of Oswego, Jackie (Bob) Cregg of Oswego, and Christine Terry of Oswego; a son, John B. Kelly, of Scriba; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters, including his twin sister, Jeanne Kelly, who died in 1998. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the Church of the Resurrection. Lambert Sr., Pastor Henry (Hank) Lambert, Sr. March 4, 2005 Pastor Henry (Hank) Lambert, Sr., 74, of 8791 Oswego Road, Clay, went home to be with Jesus on Friday. He was a life-resident of the Syracuse area. Henry was Pastor of the Blessed Hope Church, Clay and formerly a truck driver for over30 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local #317. Years ago he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson's. At this time his love was preaching and serving the Lord. He later was employed as a manager for Dey Brothers and was a member of Temple Beth El. Survived by three sons, Howard, Jonathan and Stuart; a sister, Mimi Weil; and six grandchildren. Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late William and Ella (Hickey) Cottom and had attended schools in Cleveland, Ohio. She was employed with Brennamen Hortshorn and later retired from Olsted's Corporation where she worked as a seamstress. Mrs. Woods had an avid interest in crafts. She, along with her husband George, sold their crafts at the Hillside Flea Market in Port Ontario. Mrs. Woods enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Bud Skinner of Oswego; two grandchildren, Susan (Anthony) Keller of Baldwinsville and Bud (Ginger) Skinner of Oswego; three great-grandchildren, Seth Skinner, Sean Skinner and Shannon Keller; a brother, William "Bud" Cottom of Oswego; and two sisters, Betty Smith of Oswego and Theresa Vescio of Minetto; and several nieces and nephews and loving in-laws.
