Born August 22, 1945, in Syracuse, he was the son of Allen and Anna Stajk Besanson. He was a 1964 graduate of North Syracuse High School. He worked at Salco, Syracuse, then AMSA Armored Car Service. For 10 years he worked for the Town of Richland Highway Department. He married Patricia A. Vextor on June 17, 1972. Butler, 93, formerly of Sylvan St., Elbridge, died Saturday in the Syracuse Home following a long illness. Born in Jordan, he was a life resident of the Jordan-Elbridge community. Mr. Butler was a 1929 graduate of Jordan High School. His wife of 59 years, the former Hilda MacDonald, died in 2000. He was the owner of the Butler Insurance Agency in Jordan. Mr. Butler was an Army veteran of W.W. II He was a member of the Jordan American Legion Post 1127 and the Auburn VFW Post 197. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Jordan. Mr. Butler was a member and former chaplain of the Jordan Lodge #386 F&AM. He was a founding member of the Jordan Old Boys. He is survived by his friends and neighbors. Born in Bonn, Germany, he worked as a photo engraver and surveyor before coming to the United States in 1963. He became a U.S. citizen in 1968 andmoved to East Syracuse in 1973. He was a project coordinator with Carrier Corp. for 13 years, retiring in 1981. Sergei was a member of St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church. Dr. Cox was former Vice Dean of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsyvlania, Dean of the School of Management at Syracuse Uni-versity, president of Lincoln Bank Central in Syracuse and, most recently, Dean of the College of Business at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dean Cox was predeceased by his wife Amelita and is survived by two sons, Robert and Stephen, and a daughter, Janet Cox Mann (Gregory) of Fayetteville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson. DeSantis, John March 13, 2005 John DeSantis, 81, of East Syracuse, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Sunday after a brief illness. He was a life resident of the Syracuse area and was a WWII US Coast Guard veteran. Mr. DeSantis was a grocer for over 40 years andwas co-owner of Burnet Midstate Market in Eastwood. John enjoyed traveling, cooking, dancing and was perhaps most known for his sense of humor. He was also a member of the Royal Order of the Moose. Majlaton, Issa Salim March 13, 2005 Issa Salim Majlaton, 71, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2005. Issa served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged. He was a businessman who owned several grovery stores until he retired due to ill health. He was loved by all and touched the lives of those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Salim Majlaton, and his mother, Hanneh Majlaton. Issa is survived by his wife, Yvonne, and their children: sons Sam and wife Natalie of Syracuse, NY, and Naji of Raleigh, NC, and daughter Mona of Syracuse, NY. Nash, Tia Maran March 10, 2005 Tia Maran Nash, 23, of Ormond Beach, FL, died tragically on Thursday, March 10, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A loving and devoted mother, Tia cherished her son David Scott Albertson, who was the love and joy of her and her loving companion Chris Albertson's life. She was a faithful servant of the Eucharistic Adoration at the Church of the Most Holy Rosary and was a devoted member of the local Divine Will Study Group. A life resident of Syracuse, she graduated from Powlson Business Institute and worked 39 years at the Onondaga County Department of Social Services, where she was supervisor of the burial division. She was a longtime member of Assumption Church. Madeline traveled to several major cities in Europe and visited every state in the U.S. except Oregon.
