Eula Aiken was born March 27, 1927, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Jim and Ellen McGhee Wil-liams. Eula confessed Christ at an early age and joined New Bethel A.M.E. Church in Columbus. Upon leaving Columbus, Georgia, still keeping her faith, she joined Hopps Memorial Church where she faithfully worshipped. She was united in the bonds of matrimony to Alfred Aiken (deceased). From this union came one son, Alfred Keith Aiken (Janice). Eula was previously married to Frank Clayton (deceased) and was blessed with two sons, Willie Herman Clayton of Waynesburg, PA, and Willie Frank Clayton Jr. of Syracuse, New York, and a grandchild, Sameerah Aiken, whom she raised. Eula leaves to cherish many memories of her remaining loving family, her lifelong partner and friend, Tony Barnum; two brothers, Mr. Joseph Williams and Mr. Ernest Williams of Columbus, Georgia; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Born in Northfield, VT, on November 28, 1922, he was a World War II Navy veteran, where he served as an aerial gunner and bombardier aboardseaplanes in the Atlantic. Later he was selected by ROTC and served as a supply officer aboard attack transport ships and later as a liaison for NATO SACLANT. He had a varied career after the military, settling as a math teacher for 20 years in Liverpool. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Florence Ashby Lambert; a daughter, Melodie Sharp; a son, Mark Lambert; four grandchildren: Lara and Ryan Sharp, and Eric and Lawrence Lambert; two brothers, Robert and Francis; and three sisters: Priscilla Henninger, Cynthia Monette and Grace McGuirk. Nash, Tia Maran March 10, 2005 Tia Maran Nash, 23, of Ormond Beach, FL, died tragically on Thursday, March 10, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Tia was born on February 16, 1982, in Syracuse and moved to Florida in 1994. She was a graduate of SeabreezeHigh School. A loving and devoted mother, Tia cherished her son David Scott Albertson, who was the love and joy of her and her loving companion Chris Albertson's life. Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. A native of Lindsborg, Kansas he resided in North Syracuse for 55 years before moving to Gibsonville in 2001. He retired in1991 after three years working for the Onondaga County Library System before that he worked as a residential contractor for 40 years. He was an Army veteran of WW II and served in the Pacific Theater. He was a past Commander of the VFW Post 3146 and a member of the American Legion Post 1832 both in Mattydale. He was also a member of St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church in Syracuse, the Military order of the Cooties, and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans NC chapter 20. He was predeceased by his wife, Helene (Roupas) in 1989. Rutter, 79, of Manlius, died peacefully and beautifully Sunday evening surrounded by family, after a two-year battle with prostate cancer. Harry was born on July 7, 1925 in Buffalo, the only child and dear son of Lillian (Melber) Rutter and Harry T. Rutter Sr. He had a long and distinguished management career. Most recently, he was president of H.T.R. Management Resource Development, Inc. Previously he was senior vice president, administration, for Crouse Hinds. He also held executive positions with such leading corporations as Westinghouse, General Electric, and Seilon, among others. For five years, he served as director of peace and justice for the diocese of Syracuse. Harry also had an outstanding academic career, where he distinguished himself as a scholar, leader, and athlete. He received a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a M.S. in industrial engineering from Columbia University. During high school and college, he was a nationally-ranked, long-distance swimmer, and he also held many leadership positions. He served as a lieutenant in the Navy Reserve during World War II. Harry was a devoted parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, where he served as a lector, Eucharistic minister and choir member. Survivors: Harry was the beloved husband of Coletta (Metzger) Rutter; devoted father of Deborah (Robert) Walt, Thomas (Beth) Rutter, Barbara (Alan) Jeff, Robert (Laurie) Rutter, Mary Rutter, and John Rutter; loving grandfather of Jonathan, Nicholas, Zachary, Joshua, Benjamin, David, Aaron, Caitlin, Ronald, Jacqueline, Michael, and Lisa. Harry and Coletta celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on June 30, 2001. They fell in love at first sight as members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Junior Committee, and had a beautiful 53-year marriage. Harry cherished his family, and they in turn loved him deeply and considered him a great man, not only for his accomplishments, but for the extraordinary way he lived his life. She was a teacher who received her degree at Oneonta State College, and worked in the Central Square School District for 17 years before retiring in 1982. During her tenure, she was a Principle at Hastings-Mallory Elementary School. She was a member of the New York State Teacher's Association and the Oneonta Alumni Association.
