She was married to Dr. Herbert D. Gullick, who preceded her in death. After raising her sons, she continued to give to others by serving as a home health nurse for the elderly and terminally ill. Mr. Northing was a life resident of the Chittenango area. He retired after many years from General Electric. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII where heserved as a Guard Patrolman. He was the Commander of the Chittenango VFW and the past Commander of the William Cain American Legion Post 1287 in Chittenango. Mr. Northing was an avid golfer. He was also very proud to have donated 12 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross. Mr. Northing was predeceased by his wife Leora in 1970. Thompson, Richard W. "Dick" Thompson March 15, 2005 Richard W. "Dick" Thompson, 79, of Fulton, passed away peacefully March 15, 2005, at his home surrounded by family. He was born November 24, 1925, in Fulton to the late William and Ethel Fink Thompson. Richard graduated from Fulton Schools and was a U.S. Army veteran from 1949 to 1953 where he served overseas in Japan and Germany. He was employed for 10 years at Sealright Company and retired in 1985 from General Electric Company after 32 years of service. Richard was a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge #830 of Fulton, the V.F.W. Post #569, MIA-Central Square Senior Citizens and Central Square Senior Citizens of Hastings. He was predeceased by his son, Edgar LaDuke; grandson, Jeffrey LaDuke and nine siblings. Richard is survived by his wife of 42 years, the former Grace Moot of Fulton; daughter, Gracia Thompson of Fulton; daughter-in-law, Anne LaDuke of Mexico; sister, Marge (Dick) Carpenter of Fulton; brother, Robert Thompson of Fulton; two grandchildren, MaryAnne (Dennis) LaPage and Michael (Cheryl) LaDuke, both of Mexico; four great-grandchildren, Michael LaDuke, Erica, Dillon and Derrick LaPage; niece, Crissy Warner of Camillus; and a friend and caregiver, Mollie Ambach. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Spring burial will be in Mexico Village Cemetery, Mexico. Unz, Clara March 15, 2005 Clara Sipfle Unz, 98, of Syracuse, died at home on Tuesday morning. She was a graduate of Crouse Irving Hospital School of Nursing and also attended Buffalo State Teachers College School of Nursing. She worked as the executive secretary for District 4 Nurses Association and retired in 1971 after 20 years with Allied Signal Co. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church, the New York State Nurses Association, Cecelia Chapter 156 Order of Eastern Star, and volunteered for the Red Cross for 35 years. She is the widow of Floyd Unz who died in 1965. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Contributions may be made to First English Lutheran Church.
