Bledsoe, 79, of Camden, NY, and formerly of Mattydale, New York, and Odenville, Alabama, died Saturday in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica, New York, after a brief illness. Marie was born in Syracuse, New York, on August 11, 1925, and was the daughter of Paul and Ellen Williams Houghtaling. She graduated from Union Springs Academy in Union Springs, New York, and was a lifetime member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. On March 19, 1955, she was married to Edward F. Bledsoe. Marie lived in Mattydale, New York, until 1954. She and her husband have resided in Camden with their son since August 2004. Marie retired from New York State Department of Mental Hygiene in 1982, having been employed as a clerk-typist for 18 years. Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Dominic (Nita) Genova of Honeoye, New York, Mrs. Frank (Lanie) Wadleton of Bellows Falls, Vermont, and Ms. Audrey Bledsoe of Cambridge, New York; one son, Frederick and his wife Renee, with whom she was residing in Camden; a brother, Paul and his wife Helen Houghtaling of Pennellville, New York; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Verona on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Adams Center, New York. Born in Clayton, NY in 1929, he lived in Liverpool for many years before moving to Baldwinsville in 1984. He re-tired from General Electric in 1988 after a career of 37 years as a design draftsman. Dick's passions were his garden and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed spending time at the family summer home on Grindstone Island in the 1000 Islands. He attended Syracuse University and was an Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Beverly A. Randall, 86, of Spafford, died March 27 at Northwoods Nursing Home. He died peacefully with his wife of 63 years at his side. Born in Glen Haven, NY, he was one of eight children, spending most of his childhood swimming and fishing on Skaneateles Lake. In addition to fishing, he also loved camping and bowling. Before retirement, he worked for many years at Marcellus Lanes. He had a special love of Bluegrass Music and was a longtime member of the NYS Bluegrass Association. He was a longtime member of the Spafford Fire Department as well as the Spafford Area Historical Society. He is survived by his wife, Frances Call; three daughters, Lillian Roberts of Cortland, Ruth Harahus of McDonough, and Brenda (Martin) Collard of Borodino. Paul was born June 11, 1933, in Manlius, NY, the son of the late Paul C. and Lottie DeLand Wheeler Sr. He graduated from Fabius Central School in 1952. He is survived by his wife Gladys E. Wheeler of New Smyrna Beach, FL; two sons, Richard P. (Linda) Wheeler and James E. Wheeler, both of Dundee; a daughter Deborah E. (Frank) McMullen of Greece, NY; four brothers, John (Scarlett) Wheeler of Fabius, NY, Ronald Wheeler of LaFayette, NY, Phillip (Delores) Wheeler of Elbridge, NY, and Douglas Wheeler of Broadway, Virginia; two sisters, Iva Mae Freunscht of Delphi Falls, NY, and Bernice (Lee) Seamans of Cuyler, NY; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24, at the Barrington Community Church, Dundee. Burial will be private in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee. Woytan, Helen March 27, 2005 Helen Woytan, 80, of Syracuse, passed away March 27 at Crouse Hospital. Helen was born in Buffalo and has been a resident of Syracuse for 70 years. She was a former seamstress and co-owner of Woytan's Restaurant. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at St. John the Baptist Church. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas in 1993. Survivors: three sons, Ronald of Tully, Richard of Camillus, and Michael of Baltimore, MD; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services: 9 a.m. Thursday at the GIMINSKI-WYSOCKI FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 a.m. at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Interment: Sacred Heart Cemetery Geddes.
