March 24, 2005 Roland F. Anderson, 88, of Syracuse, NY, Hendersonville, NC, and Naples, FL, died Thursday, March 24, 2005 in Hendersonville. A native of Syracuse, Mr. Anderson was the former Owner and President of Atlas Linen Supply Company. He servedin WWII as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy and he was a graduate of Syracuse University where he was a member of Psi Upsilon Fraternity and the men's golf team. Roland was a former New York State Junior Golf Champion, a member of the Onondaga Golf and Country Club, a member of the Royal Poinciana Country Club in Naples, FL, and a founding member of the Golfing Cavaliers of Syracuse. Mr. Anderson is predeceased by his wife, Marjory Burns-Anderson; his son, Stephen; and daughter, Sarah Dietrich. He is survived by his wife, Joann; sons, Roland Jr. of Skaneateles and Thomas of Cazenovia; daughter, Nancy Watt of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, April 16 at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church in DeWitt. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery. March 28, 2005 Ernest F. Filosi, 88, of Solvay, passed away Monday at the Francis House. Ernest was a life resident of Solvay. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, during which he was awarded the Purple Heart. He worked for Bender Ford in Syracuse as an auto mechanic for 15 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Stanley Pennock VFW Post 2893, the DAV, the Geddes Veterans, the Solvay Tigers AC, the Tyrol Club of Solvay, and was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Eleanor Amadore; a son, Gary, of Taunton; two grandsons, Tony and Michael, both of Westvale; two sisters-in-law, Esola and Mary Filosi, both of Solvay; a brother-in-law, Robert Amadore, of Solvay; several nieces and nephews. Norton, Frances Richman DeBoalt DeBoalt Norton March 28, 2005 Frances Richman DeBoalt Norton, 88, of East Syracuse, has gone to join her loving husband, Ernest who passed away in 1996. Mrs. Norton was born to Claude Richman and Mary DeBoalt but was raised by her aunt and uncle, Rose and Fred De-Boalt. Mrs. Norton was a lifelong resident of the East Syracuse Collamer area. She retired from Prestolite after 27 years. She was a communicant of St. Matthew's Church, East Syracuse and Christ Our Light Church in Pulaski/Lacona. Mom enjoyed spending weekends at her camp, traveling and spending time with her family. She is predeceased by her granddaughter, Karen Norton who died 1990.
