Stefanko passed away peacefully of congestive heart failure at the age of 92. Born in Oneida, NY to Candido and Theresa Penna, one of four sets of twins. Formerly of Syracuse, NY, she and her husband, George moved to Santa Ynez in 1986. In 1998, after the death of her husband, she moved to Encino Royale in Goleta. Mary was a dynamic woman who never tired of learning. She owned and operated many businesses and was also into real estate. In her "spare time" she loved to paint, read, garden, bowl and play golf (a hole in one at Encino Royale). She will be greatly missed by family and friends. A quote from one of her grandchildren, "I'm fortunate that Nana's blood runs in my children's veins." That says it all. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Logano, Syracuse, Georgiann Davirro, Santa Barbara, CA; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a twin brother, Dominick, Vernon, NY. The family would like to thank Sharon Nelson and Robin Hare (S B Med Center) whom Mary referred to as her guardian angels. Memorial donations may be made to Visiting Nurses and Hospice Care, 222 E. "Space" Wilson, 59, of Albany, died Monday, May 16, 2005, at home. Born and educated in Syracuse, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Anastasia Stasink. Mr. Wilson was a graduate of Nottingham High School in Syracuse and was an Army veteran. He worked for the former Penn Central and Conrail Railroads in Syracuse. In 1987, he moved to Albany and worked for CSX in Selkirk, retiring in 2003. Mr. Wilson was a member of the American Legion, Bucci-McTighe Post, Retired Public Employees Assoc., Inc., AARP, and the Syracuse Pastime Athletic Club. Husband of the late Joan Lindstrom Wilson; brother of Suellen (David) Callahan of Camillus, NY; uncle of Sean, Anastasia, Brendan, Joseph and Michael Callahan and Jennifer Lindstrom; great-uncle of Jack Corbett Callahan, Harry and Ella Wilson Callahan. May 15, 2005 Magdaline J. Winkler, 67, of Skaneateles, died Sunday after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. A model patient to other survivors, a 12 years cancer survivor, and an inspiration to all that knew and loved her. She was born in the Bronx,and was employed by the Marcellus Central School District as a teachers aide. She was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church in Auburn. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent on 2002. She is survived by two daughters, Madeline (Shawn) Raymond of Moravia and Veronica (Robert) Hill of Auburn; two sons, Frederick Sheen of Alaska and Matthew (Stacy) Winkler of Skaneateles; eight grandchildren; and several beloved animals. Services will be 9 a.m. Thursday at Norris Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Church, Auburn. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Marcellus.
