Sergott, Cecelia Herubin May 18, 2005 Cecelia Herubin Sergott, 82, a lifelong area resident of Yorkville, passed away in the comfort of her home with her family at her side on Wednesday, May 18, 2005. She was born in Utica on April 26, 1923, the daughter of James and Stella Dardzinski Herubin, and attended local schools. On July 28, 1945, she married Benedict Sergott in Utica. He died on March 5, 1959. Ceil was a member of Sacred Heart Church and also active in the Yorkville Highlander Senior Citizen group. May 17, 2005 Mr. William C. Shults, 90, of Menorah Park in Syracuse, died late Tuesday evening at Crouse Hospital. Born in Canajoharie on June 17, 1914, he was the son of William and Tressa E. White Shults. He attended Canajoharie High School and graduated from Diesel School in Albany, NY. Mr. Shults was the owner and operator of his family's farm until his retirement. Following his retirement, he was employed at Beech-Nut Corp. and the Canajoharie Country Club. He was a resident of Syracuse for over 20 years, previously residing in Canajoharie/Marshville and Nelliston. He attended Marshville Evangelical Church. He served in the Army Air Corps 781st Bomber Squadron, 465th bomb group during WW II in Italy. He retired from Gabriel Automotive in Syracuse in 1982. He was an avid gardener and member of the Men's Garden Club of Syracuse since 1979. He was past secretary and served as editor of their paper, "The Spreader." He was also a member of the "Zoo Crew" at Rosamond Gifford Zoo. They are a part of the Garden Club who care for all the seasonal plantings at the zoo. His church home was Atonement Lutheran Church where he was a past council member, usher, and a regular part of Men in AtoneMENt. Talbot, Mary (Murray) May 18, 2005 Mary Talbot, 91, formerly of Skaneateles, died Wednesday in Ithaca. Mary worked as an RN during World War II and locally at Auburn Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary's of the Lake Church and its Altar & Rosary Society. She was a tireless volunteer for the Stella Maris Retreat House and Meals on Wheels among others. She was predeceased by husbands George Christy, 1947 and William Talbot, 1996 plus beloved sisters Ruth Whiter and Sarah Koehler. Survived by a sister Florence (Charles) Monroe and several nieces and nephews including Deborah Whiter of Lansing, NY. Vanepps, Rodney James May 9, 2005 Rodney James VanEpps, 79, of Reno, Nevada, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2005, at the Veterans' Affairs Medical Center, Reno. Born in Brewerton to Robert and Grace Murphy Van- Epps, he had lived in Nevada about 35 years. He was past owner of VanEpps Supply in Brewerton, founder of Greenwood Hunting Preserve, and was a licensed NYS Hunting Guide. He was employed by Cal-Vada Auto Sales and was founder of Virginia City Tours and Rod's Reliable Service. Surviving are his mother, Grace; two sons, Robert and James (Michele); and grandchildren, Craig and Melissa. Memorial services were held at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center, Reno.
