Dadario, Arlene May 25, 2005 Arlene Dadario, 84, of Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday in James Square. She was the daughter of the late Anthony Ciravolo of Anthony's Flower Shop and Anne Bova. She was predeceased by her husband, Mario, in 1988, and her eldest son, Anthony, in 1990. Arlene was a lifelong resident of Syracuse and was a homemaker for many years who loved to cook, entertain and crochet. She also assisted her father and son with the family flower shop. Arlene's feisty, yet entertaining personality and natural beauty remained with her until the end. Surviving: a daughter, Marlene Dadario of Baldwinsville; a son, John Dadario and daughter-in-law, Linda Dadario of East Syracuse; a son, Michael Dadario and partner, Mitch Laufer, of San Francisco; four granddaughters, Renee King of Binghamton, Danielle Peters of Chicago, Andrea D'Elia of Texas, and Jenelle Dadario of East Syracuse; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Dingman, Paul May 25, 2005 Paul Dingman, 67, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on Wednesday. He is at peace and is with his savior, Jesus Christ. Paul will be missed not only by his family and friends, but with the many people that worked with him and for him at Syracuse China, where he was employed for 41 years. Paul, an Air Force veteran, was a man that all who knew him respected. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of almost 12 years, Paula; his son, Paul Jr. (Maria); stepson, James (Wendy) Rogers; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Sean) Parker; 12 grandchildren; brother, Bob Dingman; sisters, Barbara (Gerald) Freeman, Gloria Miller and Sheila Everett. Bochert Ertinger, 91, formerly of Oak St., Syracuse, died Wednesday at James Square. She was born in Metterzimern, Germany, and came to Syracuse in 1925. She graduated from Central City Business Institute. She was employed with Syroco Corp., Witherill's Dept. Store, Burns Mfg., and retired as a secretary with Ertinger Metal Fabricating Co. in 1978. She was a member of the Home Bureau and the Arion Singing Society Ladies Auxiliary. She sang in the Syracuse Oratorical Society. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Her husband Eugene died in 1984. She is survived by her son, Richard (Jill) Ertinger, of Liverpool; two grandchildren, Kristin and Emma Ertinger; several nieces and nephews. "Brud" Garni, 84, of Mattydale, passed away Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Willis retired in 1983, after 20 years, as a Shipping Clerk at U.S. Hoffman. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. His wife, Marian predeceased him in 1991. Survivors: include his daughters, Patricia Becker of Syracuse and Marian Garni of Mattydale; his son, Willis Garni of Mattydale; his sister, Muriel Bisignani of Syracuse; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Gelineau, Alfred "Leo" May 25, 2005 Alfred "Leo" Gelineau, 74, of 208 Tom Tom St., Chittenango, died Wednesday at the V.A. Medical Center. Born in Syracuse, Leo was a resident of Chittenango 59 years. He was employed as a custodian in the Chittenango School District for 10 years, retiring in 1990. He was previously a member of the Carpenters Union Local 12 in Syracuse for 20 years. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the William Cain American Legion Post 1287 in Chittenango, the Bridgeport V.F.W., the Emerald City Detachment of the Marine Corp League, a past member of the Chittenango Fire Co. and the Chittenango Rod and Gun Club and had been active in several bowling leagues in the Chittenango area. Surviving are his wife of 22 years, the former Eunice Bender; two daughters, Cheryl (Steve) Atkinson and Holly (Ted) Joyal both of Chittenango; three sons, Dennis Devendorf of Georgia, Gary Devendorf of E. "Bill" Sutliff, of Chenango Bridge, NY, beloved husband and father went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 16, 2005 at the New York State Veterans Home, Oxford, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Mildred and Simeon Sutliff of Binghamton; a sister, Marilyn J. LaPenna of Solvay; and a brother, Richard J. Sutliff of Syracuse. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ruth J. Sutliff; a daughter, Shauna I. Sutliff, New York City and Binghamton; and a son, Shane G. Sutliff, Syracuse; a sister-in-law, Doris F. Sutliff, Syracuse; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a graduate of Binghamton North High School, Syracuse University and served during World War II in the 75th Division, U.S. Army, in Europe. He was a 37 year employee of GAF/Anitec/International Paper Company, Binghamton. He served in various capacities there and in later years was Manager Raw Material Inventory Control and Warehousing. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Chenango Bridge. Being an avid sportsman, he enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, golfing and hunting. He was a member of the Broome County Naturalists Club. As a member of the National Rifle Association, he was a certified rifle instructor, a certified pistol instructor and Voluntary Practical Firearms Instructor. He also was a member for many years of the GAF Pistol Team. He was a member of the American Legion, Joseph P. Mangan Post, Upper Chenango Street and enjoyed being a member of the Masonic Temple for many years. Upon retirement, he attended numerous classes for 12 years at Binghamton University. A voracious reader, William was keenly interested in Biblical Studies, comparative religions, foreign languages and chess. William found that the classes and conferences at BU provided him with a dynamic and intellectual forum and he thoroughly enjoyed the professors and staff. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Veterans Home for the remarkable, extraordinary, compassionate care given to William. Private services were held for the immediate family with the Rev. Mark Giroux of St. Mark's Episcopal Church officiating. Vincent, 70, of Liverpool, passed away Sunday at Loretto. A life resident, he served with the US Navy during the Korean War. He had been employed by Upstate Medical Center in the Electrical Department for 22 years before retiring in 1992.He was a Past President of Local 615 CSEA. He and his wife, Loretta would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on May 25, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Loretta A. Vincent; a daughter, Sharon V. (Robert) Goodfellow of Fabius; two grandchildren, Chelsea and Mallory Goodfellow; a brother, Timothy K. Vincent of Syracuse; several nieces and nephews. Williamson, of Homer, NY, and Henderson Harbor, NY, passed away May 25, 2005, at University Hospital, Syracuse, NY, after fighting a valiant battle against cancer. Nye was born December 2, 1933, to Leslie and Emily Williamson. He is survived by his mother; his wife, Joan Hollister; his son, Briggs (Christine); his daughter, Wendy (Paul) Olson; his grandchildren, Trevor and Parker Williamson, and Hollister and Stewart Olson; his sister-in-law, Judy Hollister (Dr. Leonard) Boral; a niece; nephews; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Jasper and Sylvia Williamson, and his father, Leslie. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
