Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, he lived in Camillus since 1967. Arlie was a tool and die maker for Lipe Rollway Bearing in Liverpool, retiring in 1983 af-ter 16 years. He was a sailmaker and carpenter in St. John's and moved to Toronto, Ontario, in 1945, where he was a cabinet maker, a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, and a business agent for the carpenters' union. He was a member of the Salvation Army Citadel Corps in St. John's, North Toronto S.A. Corps in Toronto and St. Petersburg S.A. Citadel in Florida. He was also a member of Immanuel Church of the Nazarene in Camillus. McIntyre, Katherine Meixell McIntyre May 28, 2005 Known for her loving, selfless and vibrant spirit, Katherine, 53, passed away at home early Saturday morning, surrounded by family and friends. The child of a Navy father, she moved frequently with her family, but she grew up and lived prin-cipally in Maine, where she graduated from University of Maine-Orono with a degree in home economics education. Katherine was an active member of South Parish Congregational (UCC) Church in Augusta, ME, worked as a senior rates analyst for Central Maine Power Company, and served as board president of the Family Violence Project. She spent the last four years as a full-time wife, stepmother and volunteer in Liverpool, NY, where she also attended Christ the King Church. Katherine was passionate about music, and played piano and sang in church choirs since childhood. She was a soloist at dozens of weddings and other occasions and sang with the Syracuse Chorale and the Chorale's Chamber Singers. She was an accomplished sailor, needleworker and cook. She and her husband enjoyed classic cars and were members of three car clubs. Katherine was predeceased by her first husband, Andrew Kinney, and her second husband, Leigh Alexander. May 25, 2005 Kenyon A. Plumpton, 86, died Wednesday, May 25, at Loretto Nursing Home, Syracuse. Mr. Plumpton was born November 10, 1918, in Clayton, the son of Charles A. and Anna E. Austin Plumpton. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1937. He was a 1937 member of the Watertown High School football team that went on to win a national championship by beating Clearwater (FL) High School in Florida. On the return trip to Watertown, they were special guests of the Washington Redskins in a stopover in the nation's capital. On August 17, 1940, he married Barbara Cormack in Watertown. Mrs. Plumpton died March 30, 1997. Mr. Plumpton entered the U.S. Army in 1942, serving as a company commander of Company M., 3rd Battalion of the 305th Ordnance Regiment. He was honorably discharged in 1945. During the Korean War, he was called back to the Army and was discharged as a captain. He was president of Plumpton Chevrolet, Watertown, a family business with his brothers and sister. He retired in 1970. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a past potentate of the Media Temple, Watertown. He was predeceased by his son, Dr. Kenyon J. Plumpton, on March 17, 2000; his brother, Wesley Plumpton; and his sister, Elsie Poppleton. He is survived by his two sons and their wives, Kent W. and Heidi Plumpton, Atlanta, GA, and Charles A. "Charlie" and Jacquelyn A. Plumpton, Fayetteville; his seven grandchildren; his brother, Marcus Plumpton, Watertown; and his nieces, nephews and cousins.
