She was the beloved wife of John Akillian; devoted mother of Louise Akillian and her husband, David Jacobs, of Lincoln, MA, and Gayna Akillian of Acton, MA; loving grandmother of Elisabeth Pacl, Caroline Pacl, Alexander Jacobs and Benjamin Jacobs; sister of Mary Czyz and Elizabeth Greenia of Syracuse, New York; and the late Jane Brunet, John, Walter, Stanley, Helen, Frank and Louis Kolodziey. Arnold, 85, of Syracuse, died Saturday at the home of his son. Mr. Arnold was born in Cedarville, NY, and had lived in Syracuse most of his life. Harry retired as general foreman at GM Fisher Body after 32 years of service. His mem-berships include Moose Lodge #625, Elk Lodge, VFW and American Legion. He also enjoyed refinishing furniture. Surviving is a son, Michael E. of Syracuse, and five grandchildren: Peter, Christian, Michelle, Jaqueline and Michael Arnold, all of Syracuse. Ashe, Charles G. October 2, 2005 Charles G. Ashe, 95, of Fayetteville, died Sunday at the Nottingham RHCF. Born in Franklin, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Minnie Knapp Ashe. He graduated from Unadilla High School and Cornell University. He worked as a re-gional sales manager for Kendall Co. and upon his retirement formed his own company, Agricultural Sales Co., Inc. He was a member of the United Church of Fayetteville, where he served on the Stewardship and other committees. He was a member of the Fayetteville Lions Club and a member and past president of the NYS Association of Milk & Food Sanitarians. He was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie; sons, Richard and Alan; two sisters and two brothers. Cook, 73, formerly of Erieville, died Wednesday at Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill, FL. Born in Bucksport, Maine, Mrs. Cook was a resident of Erieville 45 years, moving to Florida in 1997. She was a past member of Erieville Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis L. Cook, in 1984 and by five brothers and sisters. Surviving are a son, Francis L. She was devoted to her family and was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Charles, in 1997. Ziparo, 81, of Baldwinsville, died Sunday at Rosewood Heights Health Center, Syracuse. He was born in Syracuse and was an Army Air Force veteran of WWII, 15th Air Force Division, where he was a radio operator and waist gunner on a B-24 aircraft. He spent nine months in the ETO and had 27 missions and 260 hours of combat fighting. He retired in 1985 from Associated Transport & Pilot Freight Carriers. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Baldwinsville, where he was a member of the senior choir from 1967 to 2001. Survivors: his wife of 60 years, Geraldine "Jeri" Mosher Ziparo; a daughter, Terri A. Mewhorton of Clifton Park, NY; three sons: Daniel J. of Jacksonville, FL; Michael C. of Syracuse; and David A. of Baldwinsville; a brother, Daniel D. of Syracuse; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
