She held secretarial positions with Lennox Industries, Westinghouse Electric, and retired from the F-M School District after 33 years, where she was a payroll clerk, teachers' aide and bus driver. She was a Red Cross volunteer and enjoyed gardening, camping, cooking, beach combing, traveling, reading, bowling, staying up late, and never being bored. Her sister, Ida Cimino, died in June 2005. Gwendolyn, also known as Gwen, was born on August 31, 1918, in Syracuse to Glenn and Ora Storms. She grew up on Tilden Road in New Hartford, NY, and she worked for Utica Mutual Insurance for a time before marrying Paul F. Dwyer in 1942 at St. Agnes Church in Utica, NY. Gwen and Paul lived in Germany, Japan, Maryland, Texas, California and various upstate New York locations. Since 1957 they lived in Baldwinsville, where their nine children were raised. Gwen was a member of St. Mary's Altar Rosary Society, worked at Fay's drugstore, the Baldwinsville Messenger and, with Paul, delivered Meals-on-Wheels. She loved swimming and gardening. Her family and friends will miss her greatly, especially her thoughtfulness and generosity. She is survived by her nine children: Patricia, Brian, Michelle, Steve, James, Terry, Randy, Dan and Tom, and 11 grandchildren. He was manager of the NYS unemployment office and re-tired in 1990 as assistant district manager of the NYS Department of Labor. Mr. Herrmann was a life member of the North Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps and served as president from 1975 to 1978 and from 1979 to 1981. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church and a member of the choirs. In 1983, he was named a Today's Patriot by the Jeremiah McCarthy Assembly, Knights of Columbus, and was a member of Bishop Curley Council 3717, Knights of Columbus. Stock, 75, of Plainville, died Friday at his home. He was born in Sodus and has lived in Plainville for over 50 years. He was a graduate of Hannibal High School, a volunteer for the Plainville Fire Department and a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He retired in 1986 after 30 years with the NY State Thruway. She had also lived in Fairfield, CT, before coming to Short Hills, NJ, 14 years ago. She earned an associate's degree from Lemoyne College in Syracuse in 1984. She had worked as a bookkeeper and paralegal with the firm of Bond, Schoeneck & King in Syracuse before retiring 15 years ago. Previously, she had worked for the United States Civil Service. She was a member of Le Club du Mardi and the Connection Bridge Club in Summit and the YMCA in Short Hills.
