Born in Artport, NY, on January 16, 1926, the daughter of Lamont and Jennie Dey, Mrs. Allen was a resident of Chittenango for 76 years. She was a homemaker and had devoted the past three years to caring for her sister, Pearl. Mrs. Allen was past president of the North Chittenango Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was also an avid bowler. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence W. Allen, who died on May 11, 1992. Surviving are two sons, Gary R. (Daryl) of Waldport, Oregon, and Darwin L. Larson, 70, of Cambridge Springs, PA, died on Sunday. Mr. Larson had retired as a driver from Syracuse and Oswego bus lines and with the W. Genesee School District. He had attended the Whitelaw Presbyterian Church in Canastota, NY, was a member of the Canastota Community Orchestra and a friend of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. Dennis Lee, 92, of Liverpool, died Thursday at home, 4763 Norstar Blvd. Born in New York City, he lived in Marcellus for 27 years until moving to Liverpool. Father Lee was an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Central New York for 36 years. He received a Master of Divinity degree from the Episcopal Theological School in Cambridge, MA. Ordained in 1941, Father Lee served as rector at Christ Church in Jordan, Trinity Church in Seneca Falls and St. John's Episcopal Church in Marcellus, retiring in 1977 after 26 years of service. An Army veteran, he was chaplain at Seaview Hospital on Staten Island during WWII. During this time, he also conducted burial offices at the county morgue for the bodies of Merchant Seamen washed up from vessels torpedoed off the coast. An active member of the Christian Social Service department of the diocese, he teamed up with Dr. Stuart Dyer of the Twin Elms Facility to lecture on psychiatry and religion to churches around the diocese. He was a frequent delegate to the annual meeting of the Synod of the Episcopal Church and was a delegate to the General Convention of the Episcopal Church, held in Hawaii in 1955. Father Lee also served actively in community and county affairs. He was an active volunteer fireman in Jordan, while at Christ Church. He served as vice-president on the board of Brick House in Syracuse. He was a member and chairman of Onondaga Community Mental Health Board and president of the NY State Association of Community Mental Health Boards. He was also a board member of MCOA in the county. Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Winona Frye Lee. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Liverpool. The Rt. Rev. Lee CSJ, Sister Patrick Therese October 16, 2005 Sister Patrick Therese Lee, CSJ, the former Rita Mary Lee, 89, died Sunday, October 16, 2005, at St. Joseph's Provincial House in Latham. Sister Patrick had been a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet for 70 years. Sister Patrick was born May 8, 1916 in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late Edward and Josie Moore Lee. She graduated from St. Patrick's Grade School and St. Lucy's High School, both in Syracuse, and entered the novitiate of the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1935. She received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in education from The College of Saint Rose, Albany, and taught in schools in the Syracuse and Albany Dioceses for nearly 50 years. Upon retiring from teaching, Sister Patrick served as a tutor and a minister to the elderly in Our Lady of Solace School and Parish, Syracuse, where she served for 31 years. She retired to St. Joseph's Provincial House, Latham, in 2001, where she continued to bring her spirit of joy, gentleness and dedication to all whom she met. Sister Patrick leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. She was predeceased by her dear sisters, Anne Marie and Therese, and by many members of her beloved Sisters of St. Joseph. October 17, 2005 Michael Ristau, 54, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday after a long courageous battle. Michael was born December 16, 1950 in Albany, the son of Alfred and Rita Ristau and resided in Syracuse most of his life. Michael's life was spent helping others. In 1988, he founded Heart to Heart Living with Addiction, to help those battling alcoholic and drug addiction. Although not a counselor himself, Michael served as a consultant to many. His service to others included a syndicated newspaper column which had international coverage. Michael's dedication to helping others was usually done in a quiet manner. He was however recognized by the Onondaga Council on Alcoholism with their Service of the Year Award.
