Born in Watertown, Mrs. Allen was a longtime resident of Watertown moving to Fayetteville in 1975 where she resided until moving to Chittenango three years ago. She was employed for several years at Fortino's Florist in Fayetteville and was a lifelong amateur watercolor artist. She was a volunteer for many years with Meals On Wheels in Syracuse. She was predeceased by her husband, John C., who was a Loan Officer at the Warren St. location of the former Marine Midland Bank, who died in 1988. Surviving are a son, David L. (Mary) Allen of Chittenango; two daughters, Barbara L. Allen and her life partner, Kathy Gillespie of Henderson, NV and Martha L. Born in Syracuse, he was a longtime resident of the Chittenango area moving to Florida in 1996. Philip graduated from Cazenovia High School in 1990 and served with the U.S. Marine Corp. Retiring due to disability in 1992. He was a member of the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association. He had previously attended the Evangel Assembly of God Church in Chittenango. Surviving are his mother, Doreen Barrett of Camillus; his father, James Barrett of Chittenango; two brothers, Paul G. (Amy) Barrett and Gary L. Peter was a lieutenant with the Syracuse Fire Dept. for 33 years, retiring in 1986. He also worked with Quick Delivery for 30 years. Farnett, 81, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2005. He was born in Syracuse, NY, on March 30, 1924, to Frank and Carmella (Pietromonica) Farnett. He was a graduate of Central High School and enlisted in the Air Force/Army in 1942. He was a Corporal in the 781st Bombardment Squadron and served as a medic in Italy during WWII. On September 17, 1945, he married his one true love, Theresa Corso, and they would have celebrated 60 blessed years together this year. Patsy was a founding member and EMT of N.A.V.A.C. (North Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps) in 1970. He retired from the Spectrum Office Supply Company in 1986. In 1996 he and his wife followed their daughters, Patricia Longdo and Suzanne Nolan to Las Vegas. In addition to his wife and daughters, he leaves behind a granddaughter, Leslie Casey (James) of Baldwinsville, NY; grandson, David (Heidi) Ferguson of Central Square, NY; grandson, Robert J. Ostuni, 68, of Liverpool, NY and 4th Lake, Adirondacks passed away suddenly Monday, August 29 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He had many interests including the Central New York Wood Turners Association and CAS-ART - The Central Adirondacks Search and Rescue Team. He loved the Adirondacks and was an avid hiker, snowmobiler and canoeist. He was a pioneer in the Cable TV industry and received the outstanding patent in 1974 for the cable TV converter. He retired from Philips Broadband Network in 2000. He was a licensed Ham Radio operator. Joe was an Eagle Scout with Bronze Palm, and was a Commissioner for Boy Scouts in Onondaga County. He was also a Eucharistic Minister at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Liverpool. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, James V. and Fannie Cacciola Ostuni. Reed, 81, of Vernon, passed away peacefully on Saturday at home surrounded by her girls, after a courageous 40-year struggle with diabetes. She was a devoted and dearly loved wife, sister, mother and grandmother. Born in Equin-unk, PA, she lived in Syracuse while her husband, Robert J. Reed, attended Syracuse University's School of Architecture. She raised her family for a time in Liverpool and accompanied her husband during his military service to Newfoundland in 1951 and Germany in 1961. Residing in Vernon since 1964, Jean was involved in her community and many charitable concerns. Her legacy will be the unconditional love she bestowed upon her family, her strength, her sense of humor, her style, and her kind and gentle spirit. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Robert J. Welch, 98, of Fulton, died August 29, 2005, at Seneca Hill Manor in Oswego. A native of Homer, she had resided in the Fulton-Granby area since 1947. She was a member of the Fulton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Mrs. Welch wasemployed at many jobs in her lifetime but she was best known as a cook for the B'ville Diner in Baldwinsville and Green and White Diner in Fulton. She was predeceased by her husband Clark R. Welch in 1985, her son Burton G. Fuller in 2003, and her brothers, Alvin Chapman, Lester Chapman and William Chapman. Surviving are a daughter, Barbara E.
