September 22, 2005 Helen M. (Dustick) Groth, 87, of South Frankfort St., Frankfort, a former resident of Woodhull St., Forestport, the widow of Donald, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 22, 2005, at Little Falls Hospital. A native of Syracuse, she was a daughter of Egnas and Margaret Kosakowski Dustick. Helen is survived by three daughters, Margaret Betti, Frankfort, Sharon Weaver, Utica, and Donna Broadbent and husband Gardner, Forestport; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Jessica Kravec, Syracuse; and nieces and nephews in the Syracuse area. She was predeceased by a brother, Eddie, and by a sister, Jennie Barzee. Her funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St., Boonville, where Rev. Donald Karlen, pastor of St. Patrick's Church of Forestport, will officiate. Interment will be in Beechwood Cemetery, Forestport. Calling hours are Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Holmes, Mary Agnes September 23, 2005 Mary Agnes Holmes, 68, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2005; she was surrounded by her family. Mary is survived by her husband of 48 years, Lynn; two sons and their wives, Tim and Terri, Tom and Karen; four grandchildren,Kevin, Keith, Stefanie and Lori; her brother and his wife, John and Pat Savage and several nieces and nephews. Mary was lucky throughout her life, her family remained close to her, they were all in the Central New York area. Mary was a founding parishioner of St. John's Church, Liverpool. Mary was employed by the Liverpool Central School District for 30 years. September 20, 2005 Mr. Jacob G. Johnson, age 86 of Oxford, died Tuesday at NYS Veterans Home in Oxford. Mr. Johnson is survived by a wife, Phyllis C. Johnson; a sister, Mildred Hubbard; two nieces, Anna Robbins and Audrey Young; a nephew, Charles Phillip Johnson III; a host of great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his sister, Ellen F. Robbins, who died on September 17, 2005 and with whom he will share funeral services with on Friday and Saturday. September 21, 2005 Joyce M. Spears, 71, of Brewerton, passed away Wednesday at University Hospital. Born in Central Square, she worked for Ames Dept. Store and retired from the Central Square Central Schools. Joyce is survived by a son, Douglas Spears; a daughter, Christine Matteson; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Sunday at 4 p.m. at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will be private. Stoutenger, Kenneth Francis September 22, 2005 Kenneth Francis Stoutenger, 89, of Oswego River Rd., Phoenix, NY, died Thursday. Born in Phoenix, NY, to his late parents, Richard and Mertie Mae (Pluff) Stoutenger. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, WWII. He was a truck driver for Armstrong Cork Co., Fulton, retiring in 1978. Mr. Stoutenger was a member of VFW Post 5540, Phoenix, and a former member of the Elks Lodge and Order of the Moose. Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Katherine (Swiech) Stoutenger; daughter, Shirley and Richard O'Brien of Merritt Island, FL; sons, Donald and Judy Stoutenger of Fulton, Michael and Diane Stoutenger of Kingwood, TX; a brother, Lloyd Stoutenger of Phoenix; sisters, Ruby Denny of Valrico, FL, Grace Ferraino of Fulton, Mary Jean Feneske of Fulton, Betty Dann of Brewerton, Barbara Holden of Lansing; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins.
