Born in Syracuse, she graduated from Blodgett Vocational High School in 1955 and was a member of TOPS and Columbiettes of the Bishop Curley Council. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Barton Charland in 2004; and daughter, Sandra Lee Stone in 1989. She began her career in Syracuse where she was an Executive for Bristol Laboratories. She left Syracuse upon the death of her husband and held may executive positions in NYC and Hartford, CT. She spent 25 years in West Hartford, CT finally returning to Syracuse retiring from Royal Insurance in 1991. She was a member of West Minster Presbyterian Church in West Hartford and was an avid life time Bridge player and member of ABCL. Barbara is survived by one brother, L.V. Hartman, Gertrude September 27, 2005 Gertrude Kay Cramer Hartman, 97, of Skaneateles, died September 27, 2005. Born in Syracuse she was a graduate of Ms Eigabroadt's Academy and Syracuse University. Moving to Skaneateles in 1941, she worked at the former Skaneateles Savings Bank until 1966 when the family moved to Stillwater, OK. She worked as a secretary for the ROTC office at Oklahoma State University until returning to Skaneateles in 1970. In 1972 she helped found the Senior Employment Program at ACCORD and served as Director of Employment for seven years retiring in 1979. Her husband of 52 years, Paul died in 1989. Surviving are a son, Steven F. Hartman of Welch, OK; three grandchildren, Tiffany Hartman of Oklahoma City, Tamara Schenewerk of Gering, NE; and Travis Hartman of Tracy, CA; and nieces and nephews. Born in Newark, New Jersey, raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Mrs. Menter was a Syracuse resident for 64 years. Mrs. Menter was a member of Temple Society of Concord and a former president of the Temple Sisterhood. She was also a longtime volunteer at Community General Hospital. Mrs. Menter was predeceased by her husband Philip Menter M.D. in 1989. "Ronnie" Salvage, 73 of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 27, 2005, with her loving family at her side. She received a liver transplant which was donated by her son, Chip, in 2001. This gave her four more years of life with her family. Born and raised in Fulton, Ronnie worked at G.E., Syracuse, and Nestles in Fulton. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Some activities included dancing, snowmobiling and playing cards with friends. Later, Ronnie enjoyed spending winters in Florida with her husband, Larry. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Linda Salvage, Chip's wife, March 2005. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Larry, who had been her full-time caretaker since her transplant. Martha was born in Watertown. As a child her family moved to Caughdenoy where she attended that school and then went onto Central Square High School. She and her husband, Myron, moved to Minoa from Hastings in 1960 whereupon she became an active member in the 1st United Methodist Church of Minoa where she served as a conference delegate and held various offices in the U.M.W. Martha previously worked at the Muench Kreitzer Candle Company. She and her husband owned and operated a produce stand in Hastings and later she became a certified DHIA tester. She lived her life by the Golden Rule, always helping others and always made due with the basic essentials. Her activities were many, beginning with being a foster parent in Oswego County. A 65 year Grange member, where she held various offices including Master. She had been a member of Home Bureau, Eastern Dairymen's League Association and American Dairy Association. She received numerous awards for volunteering within the Town of Manlius. She received the Northern Central N.Y. Conference Laity Award in April 2000; Certificate of Appreciation from the Village of Minoa for 35 years of service to the Golden Age Club which included organizing the Kitchen Band, teaching crafts and 27 years as president; and the Onondaga County Community Service/Post Standard award in 1984. She was predeceased by her husband, Myron in 1984; her parents, Roy and Bernice Ryder Maynard; and one brother, Clinton Maynard.
