Born in Syracuse, she graduated from Blodgett Vocational High School in 1955 and was a member of TOPS and Columbiettes of the Bishop Curley Council. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Barton Charland in 2004; and daughter, Sandra Lee Stone in 1989.
