Flynn Onondaga co NY Will Book Vol. D. page 220 The Will of William Willson The People of the State of New York by the grace of God free and independent, to all to whom these presents shall come or may concern Greeting: Know ye that at Skaneateles in the county of Onondaga on the twenty-Sixth day of March in the year one thousand Eight hundred and twenty seven before Freeborn G. Jewett Surrogate of our said County the Last Will and testament of William Willson deceased (a Copy whereof is hereunto annexed) was proved and is now approved and allowed of by us; And the Said deceased having whilst he lived and at the time of his death goods chattels or credits within this State, by means whereof the proving and registering the Said Will and granting administration of all and Singular the said goods chattels and credits and also the auditing of all owing and final discharging the account thereof doth belong unto us; the administration of all and singular the goods Chattel and credits of the said deceased and any way concerning of his Will is granted unto William Wilson Junior Alfred Wilson and John Buck Executors in the said Will named they being first duly Sworn well and faithfully to administer the Same and to make and Exhibit a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the Said goods chattels and credits and also to render a just & true account thereof when thereunto required~ In testimony whereof we have caused the seal of office |L.S.| of our Said Surrogate to be hereto affixed ~ Witness Freeborn G. Jewett Surrogate of the Said County at Skaneateles the 26th day of March A.D. 1827 In the name of God Amen I William Wilson of the Town of Lysander in the County of Onondaga and State of New York being weak in boddy but of sound mind and memory. blessed be Almighty God for the Same do make and publish this as my Last Will and testament in manner and form following (that) is to say, first I give and bequeath unto my elder Son William Wilson Junr. One hundred and four acres of Land on Lot Number Eighty four in the Town of Lysander County & State aforesaid and being the Land where he now lives, I do also give and bequeath to my younger son Alfred Wilson all that peace of Land, beginning in the center of the highway at the South west of Amasa B. Scofield Land and running thence East to James L. Voorhees Land thence South to Nehemiah Masons Land thence West to the Center of the Highway, thence in the Center of the highway to the place of beginning containing fifteen acres of Land being a part of Lot Seventy three in the Said Town of Lysander being the same Land which he now lives on I do also give and bequeath unto my daughter Zady Youngs wife of Henry Youngs, twenty one acres and twenty six hundredths of an acre of Land in the Said Town of Lysander being a part of Lot Number forty five being the Same Land on which she now lives, together with one hundred dollars to be paid in two years after my decease, also I give & bequeath unto my daughter in Law Betsey Wilson and my grandson James Wilson one acre of Land on Lot Number Seventy three in the Said Town of Lysander, beginning one chain and 4 links from the house the said Betsey now lives in, then North Eighty five degrees West three chains, thence North five degrees East three chains and one third of a chain thence South Eight five degrees East three chains thence South five degrees West three chains and one third of a chain to the place of beginning containing one acre of Land being the same house and Lot they now live in, together with fifty acres of Land on Lot Number Eighty four in the Said Town of Lysander being the West half of the Stated one hundred acres of Land also I give and bequeath to my grandson James Wilson when he shall become to the age of twenty one years three hundred dollars, also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Polly Wilson a bey mare ~ two cows and six Sheep with their increase to be Kept on the farm I now live on so long as She remains Single, and also a privledge of remaining in the house and recieve board off of the farm so long as She remains Single, and also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Electy Wilson two cows and six sheep with their increase to be Kept on the farm I now live on so long as She remains Single and the privealedge of living in the house and recieve board and lodging and schooling out of the profits of the farm so long as She remains Single, I also give & bequeath unto my two said daughters Polly Wilson and Electy Wilson five hundred dollars each to be paid when they shall arrive to the age of twenty one years, also one bed and beding to Each I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Zady Youngs one Cow & six Sheep, I also give & bequeath unto my three daughters Zady Youngs Polly Wilson & Electy Wilson all my household furniture, also I give and bequeath unto my two sons William Wilson Jun. and Alfred Wilson all of the remainder of the home farm on Lot Number Seventy three suposed to contain one hundred and fifty acres of Land after the above legacies are payed, also I give & bequeath unto William Wilson Jun. twenty acres of Land on Lot Number Eighty four being a part of States hundred acres of Land. and also I give & bequeath unto my son Alfred Wilson thirty acres of Land on Lot Number Eighty four being a part of the States hundred acres Except the timber on five acres of Land which I give & bequeath to my Son William Wilson Jun. I also give & bequeath the privealidge to Betsey Wilson my daughter in Law to cut take and carry away what pine timber she may want for building on the Last mentioned fifty acres of Land Willed to my two Sons, William & Alfred Wilson being fifty acres on the Sates one hundred acres so long as she remains Single, also I give & bequeath my three daughters the priveledge that is to say Zady Youngs Polly Wilson and Electy Wilson to cut take and carry a way what pine timber they may want for their own buildings, and Lastly as to all the __ remainder of residue of my personal or real estate of what name or nature Sover I give & bequeath the same to my two Sons William Wilson Junr. and Alfred Wilson and I hereby appoint William Wilson Jun. Alfred Wilson & John Buck Sole Executors of this my Last Will and testament and hereby revoking all former Wills by me made ~ In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 9th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty Seven The interalenation of the five acres of Wm. Be it remembered that on the 26th day of March 1827. personally appeared before me Freeborn G. Jewett Surrogate of the County aforesaid Jeremiah Dunham Junior Sally Snow & Abigail Snow Subscribing Witnesses to the Will of William Willson late of the Town of Lysander in Said County deceased who being duly sworn declared that they did see the said William Willson Execute the Within Instrument purporting to be the Last Will and testament of the Said William Willson bearing date the ninth day of March in the year one thousand Eight hundred and twenty Seven that they heard him the said William Willson publish and declare the Same as and for his Last Will and testament -- that at the time thereof he the said William Willson was of Sound disposing mind and memory to the best Knowledge and belief of them the said Jeremiah Sally & Abigail and that they did Severally Subscribe their names as Witnesses to the said Will in the presence of the testator In Witness Whereof the Said Surrogate hath hereto |LS| Set his hand and affixed his Seal of Office Down at Skaneateles this 26th day of March A.D. 1827.
