In a Surrogate Court held in & for the County Of Onondaga, at the Surrogate
office in the City of Syracuse on the 24th day of September One Thousand Eight
Hundred and fifty eight.

In the matter of proving the
Last Will & Testament
               of 
Russel Adsit deceased
Onondaga County. 

Be it remembered that the heretofore upon the petition of John Adsit Executor
named in the Last Will and Testament of Russel Adsit late of the town of
Lysander in said County deceased. For that purpose to the Surrogate of said
county a citation was duly issued in this matter, which citation with all the
proofs of service thereof was thereafter duly returned to said Surrogate, and
which said petition & citation with the proofs of service thereof are now on
file in the office of said Surrogate. And therefore the said Last Will and
Testament of the said deceased and proofs thereof were produced and are as
follows viz.-

In the name of God Amen. I Russel Adsit of the town of Lysander in the County
of Onandaga & State of New York of the age of sixty five years & being of
sound mind & memory do make publish and declare this my Last Will and
Testament in manner following that is to say.

First. I give, devise and bequeath all my Real and Personal Estate of what
value or kind soever to my wife Amy Adsit to be used and enjoyed by her during
the term of her natural life and from immediately after her decease, I give
devise & bequeath the same to my son John Adsit his heirs and assigns forever.
Excepting the household furniture which I direct to be disposed of as my said
wife may think proper & just oin the same manner as if the said household
furniture had been bequeathed to her absolutely.

Second. I give and bequeath to my son Franklin Adsit the sum of four hundred
dollars which I direct & order to be paid to him by my said son John Adsit
within four years from and after the decease of my said wife.

Third. I give and bequeath to my daughter Perlina Coon, wife of John Coon and
Alpha Ann Clark wife of Napoleon B. Clark each the sum of two hundred dollars
which I direct & order to be paid to them respectively by my said son John as
follows, to wit.-to the said Perlina Coon, within two years from and after the
decease of my said wife and the said Alpha Ann Clark within three years from &
after the decease of my said wife.

Fourth. I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Harriet Ann Burdick the sum of
one hundred dollars, which I direct & order to be paid to her within one year
from & after the decease of my said wife as aforesaid.

And Lastly. I do hereby nominate and appoint my said son John Adsit to be the
sole Executor of this my Last Will & Testament hereby revoking all former
Wills by me made.

In which whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this twenty sixth day of
January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & Fifty eight.

The above instrument consisting of one sheet was at the date thereof signed
sealed, published and declared by the said Russel Adsit as& for his Last Will
and Testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence & in
the presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses thereto.

Dewitt C. Greenfield, residing at Baldwinsville, Onondaga County.

Horace B. Garrett, residing at Lysander in Onondaga County.

Onondaga County Surrogate Court
In the matter of proving the 
Last Will & Testament
Of
Russel Adsit deceased.   Onondaga County. Dewitt G. Greenfield of
Baldwinsville in the county of Onondaga being duly sworn & examined doth
depose and say that he this deponentwas well acquainted with Russel Adsit late
of the town of Lysander in the county deceased. That this deponent was present
as a Witness and did see the said Russel Adsit subscribe at the end thereof
the instrument now produced and shown to thid deponent purporting to be the
Last Will & Testament of the said deceased bearing the date the 26th day of
January in the year of our Lord, one thousand Eight hundred & fifty eight.
That the said testator at the same time declared the instrument so subscribed
by him to be his Last Will & Testament. That thereupon this deponent and
Horace B. Garrett of Lysander subscribed their names at the end thereof as
Witness thereto at the request of the testator in his presence and that the
said testator at the time of executing and publishing the said Last Will  &
Testament was of full age and of sound mind & memory not under restraint & was
in all respects competent to make a Last Will & Testament.

Lysander in the county of Onondaga being duly sworn & examined doth depose and
say that he this deponent was well acquainted with Russel Adsit late of the
town of Lysander in the county deceased. That this deponent was present as a
Witness and did see the said Russel Adsit subscribe at the end thereof the
instrument now produced and shown to thid deponent purporting to be the Last
Will & Testament of the said deceased bearing the date the 26th day of January
in the year of our Lord, one thousand Eight hundred & fifty eight. That the
said testator at the same time declared the instrument so subscribed by him to
be his Last Will & Testament. That thereupon this deponent and Daniel C.
Greenfield* of Baldwinsville subscribed their names at the end thereof as
Witness thereto at the request of the testator in his presence and that the
said testator at the time of executing and publishing the said Last Will  &
Testament was of full age and of sound mind & memory not under restraint & was
in all respects competent to make a Last Will & Testament.

Onondaga County
Surrogate Office. 
Recorded the preceding Last Will & Testament of Russel Adsit deceased as a
Will of Real and Personal Estate together with the proofs thereof taken & had
in the Court of the Surrogate of the County of Onondaga which record is hereby
signed and certified by me pursuant to the provisions of the Revise Statutes
this 24th day of Septmeber A.D. 1838.
