All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.org/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.org/ny/nyfiles.htm Submitted Date: January 2, 2005 This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nyfiles/ File size: 4.2 Kb ************************************************ Lot #12, Range # 2, Ontario County, NY Written: January 28 1814 Recorded: March 1 1815 This indenture made the twenty eighth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight and fourteen between James Galloway of the town of Palmyra county of Ontario & State of New York of the first part and Joseph Johnson of Farmington county and state aforesaid of the second part witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of forty two dollars and sixty six cents lawful money of the aforesaid state to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged hath granted bargained sold remised released aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth bargain sell remise release alien and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever all that certain tract or parcel of land situate in townships No. twelve in the second Range of townships in the county of Ontario and state aforesaid and is bounded as follows viz. beginning at the southeast corner of lot No. ten on the town line between Palmyra and Farmington in sa (sic.) county thence along the town line aeast sixty five rods to a stake and stones, thence north fifteen rods to a stake and stones, thence west sixty five rods to a stake & stones on the west line of sa. lot, thence south on the line of sa. lot fifteen rods to the place of beginning to contain six acres and fifteen rods of land and no more together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders unto issues and profits thereof and all the estate right tithe, interest, claims or demands whatsoever of the said party of the first part either in law or equity of and to the above bargained premises with the said hereditaments and appurtenances. To have and to hold the said premises as above described with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said party of the first part for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant grant bargain and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that at the time of the ensealing and delivery of these presents he was well seized of the premises above conveyed as of a good sure perfect absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance in the law in fee simple and that the above bargained premises in the quiet and peaceable profession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the whole or any part thereof he will forever warrant and defend. In witness whereof the prty of the first part hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written. NB The erasure in the twentieth line was done before execution. Roger: James Galloway, Ontario County ss: On the twenty-eighth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen came before me William Rogers on of the Judges of the court of Common Pleas for same county James Galloway who I know and know well to the witness named grantor acknowledged that he executed the within Instrument as his free will out for the uses and purposes herein mentioned and I having perused the same and finding no material erasures or interlinations except those noted in the margin before execution do allow this deed to be recorded.
