Johnson This Indenture Made the twenty fifth day of November one thousand eight hundred and twenty two between Sally Ogden of the city of New York of the first part and Joseph S. Johnson of the town of Manchester in the county of Ontario and state of New York of the second part witnesseth that the said part of the first part and in consideration of one hundred and seventy six dollars sixty eight cents to her in hand paid by the party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged have granted bargained sold remised released aliened and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell and remise release and confirm unto the said party of the second part in his actual possession now being and to him and his heirs and assigns forever All that certain piece or parcel of land situate in the township number eleven in the second range of townships in the county of Ontario and State of New York viz. ninety acres and one hundred and forty three rods of land being lot number eighty nine north of the center line in said township and bounded as follows viz. north on the north line of said lot being the north line of said township, south, west and east on the line of the lot and to contain the aforesaid quantity of land inclusive of highways. Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging to and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right and tithe interest claim and demand of the said party of the first part of in and to the same either in law or equity. To have and to hold the same to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the sole and only proper use benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said party of the first part for her heirs executors and administrators do covenant grant bargain promise and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns the above bargained premises in the quiet and peaceable profession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the whole or any part of the above mentioned and described premises will forever warrant and defend. In witness whereof the party of the first part hath set her hand and seal the day and year first above written. Sealed and delivered in the presence of Alex S. McDonald Sally Ogden State of New York ss: On this 26^th day of November 1822 before me personally appeared Sally Ogden to me known to be the grantor in the within indenture mentioned and described and acknowledged that she executed the same for the uses and purposes therein mentioned and finding therein no material erasures or interlinations I allow it to be recorded. State of New York Alex S. McDonald, Comissr. City and County of New York ss: I John L. Broome Clerk of the city and county of New York and clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of the city and county of New York do hereby certify that Alexander S. McDonald esq. whose name is subscribed to the certificate of the acknowledgement of the annexed Indenture and endorsed thereon was on the day of the date of the said certificate a Commissioner in and for the city and county of New York dwelling in the said city and county commissioned and sworn and duly authorized by law to take the proof and acknowledgement of deeds and discharges of mortgages. And further that I am acquainted with the handwriting of the said Commissioner and verily believe that the signature of Alex. S. McDonald subscribed to the said certificate is the proper handwriting of the said Commissioner.
