Wilson (Cribb) was born in Ontario County, New York, Feb.09,1819, where she grew to womanhood. She was married to Joseph G. Wilson, Jan.19,1841. In Dec.1845, they moved to Illinois and settled on a farm in McHenry County. They resided there until early 1852, when, with friends, they came to Iowa locating in Dubuque County. In 1881, the family moved to Minnehaha County, South Dakota, and later, as the husband was in failing health, moved into Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he died July 1881. In 1883, the mother came to Akron, where she has since resided with her son, Adelbert Udell Wilson, whose family moved to Westfield June 01,1904. She had been in declining health for several months. On Nov.25,1904, she passed away. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Akron, Sunday Nov.27. The Reverends Blackman of Akron and Bretnell of Westfield, officiated. Bearers were W.B. Martin, Peter Beaulieu, M.E. Small all of Westfield and C.F. Horton, Elmer Seward, and A.W. Smith of Akron. Floral offerings were beautiful.
