I, Josiah Jackman of the town of Canadice, County of Ontario, and state of New York, being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament. That is to say: First, after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I give and bequeath and devise to my son Wiley Jackman and his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract piece or parcel of land, situate lying and being in the town of Springwater, county of Livingston, and state of New York, and bounded as follows: on the east by the centre of the highway running north and south through said town of Springwater, past the Christian Church on the south by the lands in the possession of Hiram Becker and Lester B. Jackman, on the west by lands heretofore owned by John Jennings and William H. Norton and on the north by lands of Francills Stuart late of the town of Springwater deceased, containing one hundred and fifteen acres of land be the same more or less. Second, I give and bequeath and devise to my son Abner Jackman and Lucy his wife, the use and occupation of about one hundred and seventeen acres of land lying in the east part of the town of Canadice and on the west side of Honeoye Lake, being the same lands upon which said Abner now resides, for and during their natural lives or the longer lives of the two unless the said Lucy should survive the said Abner and should marry, then in that case, she must give up the possession of said lands immediately, and after the decease of the said Abner and Lucy or her marriage, there I give, bequeath, and devise all that tract piece or parcel of land to their children: Dora, Jen, Rosa, Fredy and Zora, and to their heirs and assigns forever. Third, and lastly, I give, bequeath and devise to my wife Luva B. Jackman and to her heirs and assigns all the rest and residue of my property, both real and personal of whatsoever nature and wherever found and I hereby declare the said gift is intended to be and is so given to her in full satisfaction and recompense of and for her dower and thirds? which she may or can in any wise claim or demand out of my estate. Likewise, I make, constitute, and appoint my wife, Luva B. Jackman to be the executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have here unto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the first day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy nine.
