Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for in and consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars lawful money of the state of the United States of America in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Have granted bargained sold aliened released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien release and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever __ All that certain piece or Parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the Town of Monroe and in the Patent of Cheesecocks _ Beginning at the fork of the road that leads to James Satterleys Mills from the Cottage Road and runs thence North twenty onr Degrees East Six Chains fifteen Links, thence North four Degrees West three chains fifteen links to Woodruff's corner thence North seventy eight degrees west two chains seventeen Links thence North forty two Degreed West ten chains thirty two links thence South twenty five degrees west five chains seventy links thence North forty two degrees west four chains sixty links to James Smith's land thence South fifty five degrees and fifteen minutes West Twenty Chains fifty links to Henry Seeley's Land thence South fifty links thence North twenty six degrees and thirty minutes east eighteen chains and seventy five links to the land of Jess ? Weeks and ? thence south seventy nine degrees East five Chains and eighty five links to the Place of Beginning. Containing twenty two acres of land be the same more or less _ Together with all and singular the rights Members, hereditaments and appurtenances unto the said premises in any wise appertaining or belonging. And the revision and revisions, remainder and remainder unto, the use and profits thereof. And also all the estate right title interest property claim and ? whatsoever as well in Law as in equity of the said party of the first part of in and to the same, and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances. To have and to Hold the above granted bargained and described premises with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns for their own proper use benefit and behoof forever _ And the said Archibald Smith as agent for Hophni Smith for himself his heirs, executors and administrators Doth covenant grant promise and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that he the said party of the first part at the time of the sealing and delivery of these presents is lawfully seized in himself of a good absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance in possession of and in all and singular the above granted bargained and described premises and the appurtenances and have good and full power and lawful authority to grant bargain sell and convey the same in manner and form aforesaid. And the said party of the first part the above described and hereby granted and released premises and every part thereof with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against the said party of the first part and his heirs Shall and Will Warrant and by these presents forever ?. Sealed and delivered in the presence of us John Mc Garrah State of New York, Orange County; On the eighteenth day of February 1825 before me John Mc Garrah one of the Commissioners for said County personally appeared Archibald Smith the within grantor to me known to be the same person described in this indenture who acknowledged that he executed the same for use and purposes therein mentioned as attorney for Hophni Smith.
