Between Hophni Smith of the Town of Monroe in the county of Orange and State of New York party of the first part and Hannah Cornelius of the same place of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the Sum of one Hundred Dollars lawful money of the United States to him in hand paid By the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold aliened released and confirmed and By the presents Doth grant bargain sell alien release and confirm unto the party of the second part all her heirs and assigns forever all that certain piece or parcel of land lying situate and being in the Town of Monroe and in Pattent of Cheesecox and in the Village of Baker Town. Beginning at the middle of the Road that leads from John Mc Garrah's to this house start in the said Town of Monroe from thence North westerly one degree west eight chains and thirty links to Josiah Seeley's land; thence South forty five Degrees West two chains and thirty links along the line of J. Seely's land; Thence South twenty Degrees East twenty chains and sixty links to the middle of said road; then along said road two chains and thirty links to the place of Beginning. Containing two acres of land more or less. Together with all and singular the rights members hereditaments and appurtenances unto the said premises in any wise appertaining or belonging and the revision and revision and Remainder and Remainders rents issues and profits thereof also all the estate rights titles interest and property claims and demands whatsoever as well in law an is equity of the said party of the first part of in and to the same and any part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances to Have and to Hold the above granted bargained and described premises with appurtenances unto the said party of the second part her heirs and assigns for their own proper use and benefit and behoof forever. And the said parties of the first part for themselves and their heirs executors and administrators do commit promise grant and aggress to and with the said party of the second part her Heirs and assigns that the said party of the First part their Heirs and assigns the said lot piece or parcel of land above described and hereby granted and conveyed and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part her Heirs and assigns and all and every other person or persons whomsoever shall and will warrant and forever Defend. In Witness whereof the parties have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and seals the day and year first above written.
