He was 65. The son of Alfredo and Maria Felcia Barone, he was born May 24, 1939 in Italy. He was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Middletown. Batz, Fred Fred Batz, 76, of Warwick, passed away on April 4, 2005 in St. Anthony's Hospital, Warwick. Born on May 7, 1928 in New Milford, N.Y., he was the son of Fred and Margaret Mabee Batz. Mr. Batz was a member of the Bellvale United Methodist Church. He was a 55-year member and past president and Captain of The Raymond Hose Co. of the Warwick Fire Dept. and 2nd Lt. of the Warwick Fire Police. He served for 49 years on the Warwick Ambulance Corp. He was past president of the Town of Warwick Republican Committee and served as Town Councilman for the Town of Warwick for seven years. In 1979, he was named citizen of the year by the Warwick Jaycees. He was a US Army Air Corp. Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jean Quackenbush Batz; daughters, Margaret Blasko and husband Mike, Vivki Fulmer and husband Denny and Kaye Mikovits and husband Mike; sons, William Batz and wife Sue and Fred Batz III; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; his brother Michael John Batz and his wife Fran; and several nieces and nephews. Theodore A. Bauman, an insurance underwriter for Aetna Insurance in New York City, and resident of New Paltz since 1975, died Monday April 4, 2005 at Mountainview Nursing Home, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was 92. The son of the late Frank Bauman and Mary Orchard, he was born August 15, 1912 in Maspeth, N.Y. He was an avid collector of John Deere tractor memorabilia who lived in Queens, N.Y., had a summer home in Gardiner since 1963, and eventually moved to New Paltz in 1975. Mr. Bauman served in the U.S. Navy as a radioman, 3rd Class, during World War II. He married Alice Harvey on May 31, 1942 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He is survived by two daughters, Joan Wolf of New Paltz, and Barbara DeWitt of Chesterfield, Va.; one son, Raymond Bauman of Newfield, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice, on April 26, 1990; his sister, Mary Bauman; and one brother, Frank Bauman. A statement by his children reads: "He was a wonderful father and "Pop-Pop". Clark, Marie Rivera Marie Rivera Clark, known to many as "Gram", a retired Registered Nurse and longtime Middletown resident, died on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at St. Teresa's Nursing Home, Middletown. She was 79 years old. Marie was born on July 17, 1925 in Hurlyville. Marie started her career in nursing at Bellevue Hospital in New York City and also worked for Wellcare, Litson and Orange County Residential Healthcare Center in Goshen. She retired from nursing after 24 years of caring for others. Farley III, beloved husband and father, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2005 at home. He was 84. He was born on July 25, 1920 in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of John and Mary Farley. He served in the Armed Forces for 24 years. He was awarded the Soldiers Medal by the Army Air Corp. on Sept. 19, 1945. After retiring from the Air Force, he was employed by American Airlines for 18 years. He was a member of St. Augustine R.C. Church in Highland and also belonged to the VFW and the Elks Club. His retirement was spent traveling and visiting family and friends. Being a staunch conservative, he never met a liberal he wouldn't argue with. The son of the late Manuel Flores and Amelia Tello, he was born on March 28, 1913 in Ayacucho, Peru. Sixto was a dedicated father, lovable, grandfather and an amazing father-in-law. A life-time area resident, he was the son of the late Richard Oakley and Minnie Dorothy Creeden Hall. He was born on April 15, 1926 at home in Ridgebury, N.Y. He married Gladys Nellie Baker on July 24, 1948 in the Ridgebury Presbyterian Church, Ridgebury, N.Y. Oakley was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force in Japan. He was a member of the Webb Horton Memorial Presbyterian Church; a member, fire police and commissioner of the Wawayanda Fire Company; a member of the Beaver Brook Hunting and Fishing Club Inc.; American Legion Post 151; Orange County Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs Inc.; National Rifle Association Golden Eagle Charter member; NRA Whittington Center Founders Club. He also belonged to the Land of Lenapes Historical Group; Neversink Valley Area Museum and the Pines Museum. He was a former constable of the Town of Wawayanda and was Co-Grand Marshall of the Town of Wawayanda Sesquicentennial Parade in 1999. Oakely enjoyed reading, hunting and fishing with his family. Raymond was an active member of the deaf community. He was predeceased by two brothers, Felix and Steven. Visitation will be Tuesday (today), April 5, 2005 from 3-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 10 AM in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Route 42, Woodbourne, NY. The Rev. John Lynch will officiate. Burial will be in the Grahamsville Rural Cemetery, Grahamsville, NY. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.
