She was a retired secretary for Walter T. Bergen School, Bloomingdale, NJ. Mrs. Anderson was a member of Good Shepherd and St. John's Episcopal Church, Milford, PA and was their youth choir director. She was a member of Hidden Acres Golf Club, Hainesville, NJ and the Cliff Park Golf League, Milford, PA and delivered meals on wheels. The daughter of Walter and Evelyn (French) Penfield, she was born in Milton, MA on September 10, 1929. She was married to Clifford H. Anderson. Survivors include her husband, Clifford; two sons, Clifford P. Anderson of Warwick, NY and Christopher J. Anderson of Matamoras, PA; two daughters, Mary Beth Robbins of Pompton Lakes, NJ and Helen Jean Maikath of Mashpee, MA; two brothers, Walter Penfield of Tucson, AZ and Rev. William N. Penfield of Litchfield, CT; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Evelyn Zuber. He was a machinist for Pfizer, Inc., Parsippany, NJ. He was a member of NRA, the Algonquin Gun Club, Whippany, NJ and served as president of Pfizer Industrial Trap League. The son of Edward and Frances (Schoenstein) Andres, he was born in Glendale, NY on April 19, 1939. He married to Jane (Fulton) Andres. Survivors include his wife, Jane; one daughter, Lisa J. Boddie, William Edward William Edward Boddie, of Port Jervis formerly of Middletown, New York passed away Sunday April 24, 2005 at the Schervier Pavilion, Warwick. He was 71. Born in Peekskill, New York on August 22, 1933, he was the son of Patrick and Ann Dulin Boddie. He retired as a Carrier for Orange County Department of Social Services, Goshen, NY. He was a communicate of St. Joseph Catholic Church Middletown, and worked in the office of St. Joseph Rectory and served as an usher with the church. He was a past member of Knight of Columbus Council 1392, Peekskill. He served in the U.S. Army as a Private in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Sheehan Boddie at home; 2 sons Terence Boddie and his wife Susanne of Louisville, KY, Matthew Boddie and his wife Debbie of Middletown, and his daughter Mary Rose and her husband Andrew of Port Jervis, 7 grandchildren Christopher, Jennifer; Nicole, Shannon; Victoria, Ryan and Liam. The son of the late Sebastiano and Immacolata Saggio Bonanno, he was born September 23, 1923 in Manhattan. He was a US Army WW II veteran having received a Purple Heart. Published in the Times Herald-Record on 4/26/2005. Byrne, J. Howard J. Howard Byrne, formerly of Chappaqua, N.Y., died in Goshen on April 23, 2005. He was 87. Mr. Byrne is survived by his children, James (Hawthorne, N.Y.), Ann (Chicago, Ill.), Kathleen (John Lindquist, Warrenton, Va.) and Christine (Manuel Perez, Mt. Kisco, N.Y.). He is also survived by five granddaughters, a great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. His wife of 57 years, Grace, died in 2000. His brothers, Austin and Vincent, and his sister, Peggy Harte, also predeceased him. Mr. Byrne was a founder and President of Byrne Bros. Inc. (White Plains) before his retirement in 1983. He and his brothers and brothers-in-law owned and operated several successful automobile dealerships in New York and Connecticut from 1952 through 1982. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Mr. Byrne was a pilot and U.S. Army flight instructor during WW II. He was a lifelong baseball fan who spent one summer as an usher at Ebbets Field and who was asked to try out, as a pitcher, for the Boston Red Sox and the Newark Bears, a New York Yankee farm team. Horse racing was also a passion, as his brothers owned race horses and held court at Saratoga for many a summer. A love for the NY Giants began many years ago "tailgating" at Yankee Stadium in the days of Tittle and Gifford. Mr. Byrne was an avid golfer and golf fan. He had been a member of Mount Kisco Country Club since 1950. Mr. Byrne had a incredible zest for life. He was kind, considerate and had a great sense of humor. Most of all he was a true gentleman. He said that he loved everyone and would miss us all, as we loved and will miss him. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Beecher Funeral Home, 418 Bedford Road, Pleasantville. The son of Frank A. Carbone Jr. and Lynne E. Stewart, he was born December 20, 1971 in Poughkeepsie. He was a bass player for the band All Out War and a Grateful Dead fan. Survivors include his mother, Lynne E. Stewart of New Windsor; father, Frank A. Carbone Jr. of Newburgh; daughter, Cayla Erin Lynn Carbone of Chicago; brothers, Frank A. DeFelicis, Louis Gerard Louis Gerard DeFelicis, 74, of James St., died Sunday, April 24, 2005 at the Kingston Hospital. He was born in Chicago, IL, December 10, 1930, a son of the late Louis Salvatore and Agnes Dunn DeFelicis. A Rosendale resident most of his life, Mr. DeFelicis was the second of four generations of the Rosendale Florist, Inc. in Kingston. He was the Town of Rosendale Republican Chairman for many years and was a former Village Trustee and the youngest mayor to serve the Village of Rosendale. He also served as Rosendale Town Supervisor and was a member of the Ulster County Board of Supervisors. He was longtime Deputy Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature. Mr. DeFelicis was a lifelong parishioner of St. Peter's Church in Rosendale. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lorraine Feasel DeFelicis; two sons, Louis Gerard "Jerry" DeFelicis of Kingston, Robert "Bobby" DeFelicis of Alligerville; two daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Hofbauer of Bloomington and Agnes M. Planthaber of Kingston. Also survived by eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends. A sister, Ann T. Gilger, Arthur Arthur Gilger, a retired extrusion press operator for United Aluminum Works in Ellenville, died Saturday, April 23, 2005 at his home in Wurtsboro after a battle with cancer. He was 76. The son of the late Anthony Gilger & Helen Cybulsky Gilger, he was born June 27, 1928 in New York City. Arthur was a Korean War veteran serving in the United States Army. He was a member of the Mamakating American Legion Post #1266; Mamakating Conservation Club; Tri-State Rod & Gun Club in Port Jervis; as well as a 40+ year member of the Wurtsboro Fire Dept. He was also a manager and umpire for the Mamakating Little League. He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Dorothy E. Bower Gilger, at home; two sons: Kenneth Gilger and Thomas Gilger, both of Wurtsboro; two aunts: Catherine Yasa of Wurtsboro and Margaret Lake of Hudson, FL. Antonio was born in Miera, a small town near the city of Santander in Northern Spain. The only son of Antonio and Paula Higuera Gomez, he immigrated to New York City in 1944, where he met and married his loving wife Rose. Settling in Highland, NY for 52 years, he raised a family and worked as an engineer at IBM until his retirement in 1991. He is survived by his devoted wife Rose and six adoring children, Ernest, Daniel, Paula, Elisa, Robert and Martin and six grandchildren, Maria Rosa, Ali Noel, Eric James, Stephen Philip, Rebekah Elisabeth and Wesley Antonio. Antonio was a humanist and a globalist. He taught and followed patience and tolerance enabling his six children to find their paths in this world, from accountants to computer engineers to geologists. He loved studying Esperanto, the hopeful, global language. Although he was a realist, the twinkle in his eye was always to a positive future. Antonio was a member of the Masonic Temple in Poughkeepsie. He also loved the outdoors and frequented the trails in the Shawangunk Mountains and the Rail Trail in Highland. He will be greatly missed. Frances was a very devoted mother who enjoyed painting, and was a long term member of the Eastern Star as well as a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Middletown. Frances was married to G. Madison Martin, who predeceased her in April of 1985. Frances is survived by one son, George M. Winter-Velasco, Rhonda Rhonda Winter-Velasco, a Section Eight specialist for Newburgh Housing Authority, died April 24, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was 46. The daughter of the late Arvid and Rhoda White Winter, she was born December 11, 1958 in Cornwall. Survivors include her beloved husband Victor "Junior Triston" Velasco and their loving daughter, Damaris Alonna Velasco at home; one sister, Yvonne Winter-Ward and her companion David Hart of Staunton, Va.; one niece, Heather Niccole Ward of Staunton, Va.; and a special friend Anna Kilpatrick.
