Barry Jr., a lifelong resident of the area, and retired cook for Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center in Middletown, N.Y., died Sunday July 31, 2005 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, N.Y. He was 58. Son of the late Eugene L. Barry Sr. and Ethel M. Witheral Barry, he was born June 19, 1947 in Cornwall, N.Y. Mr. Barry was a life member of the Mechanicstown Fire Department and member of the Middletown Fire Department. He attended the Middletown Congregational Church in Middletown, N.Y., and was a member of the American Legion in Middletown. Mr. Barry was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He was also a flagman for the Orange County Speedway in Middletown. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Smith Barry, at home; two step-daughters, Virginia Williamson of Port Jervis and Brenda Rolf of Wassaic, N.Y.; two step-sons, John Williamson of Pine Plains, N.Y., and Robert Williamson of New Jersey; one brother, Kevin Barry and his wife, Diane, of Middletown; and two nieces, Allyson and Morgan. Bianco, Jr. of Albany, N.Y., formerly of Cornwall, a former employee of the Holiday Inn in Newburgh, and Touch of Class Restaurant, died Saturday July 30, 2005 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, N.Y. He was 54. The son of the late Nicholas J. Bianco, Sr and Regina Knight Bianco, he was born February 28, 1951 in Newburgh, and was the husband of the late Loretta Brought Bianco. "Bob" Colandrea, a lifetime area resident, completed his ride through this earthly life on Saturday July 30, 2005 with his family by his side. Born October 22, 1945 in Cornwall, N.Y., Mr. Colandrea was President of Capital Area Motorcycling School, Inc., and a motorcycle safety foundation, RiderCoach; and he was past Vice President of Colandrea Trucking, Inc. He was a past Chief and EMT for the Middle Hope Fire Department; and was a past Vice Commodore for the Marlboro Yacht Club. Mr. Colandrea was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Bob was an avid motorcyclist and toured all 48 contiguous states, and all provinces of Canada. If there was a twisty road, he explored it. "Bob touched many lives with his dry wit and precise approach to life." He is survived by his wife and co-rider, Barbara; son, John and his wife, Robbin; granddaughter, Susan; soon-to-be-born grandson, Stephen; parents, Louis and Bernice Colandrea; brother, Ronald and his wife, Kathleen; mother-in-law, Elinor Johanson; a large extended family of Colandreas and Johansons; and many friends across the country. Collins of Sparrowbush, a retired supervisor with the Navy Department in Newark, N.J., and 25-year resident of the area, died Monday August 1, 2005 at Schervier Pavilion in Warwick, N.Y. He was 88. He was born May 8, 1917 in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of the late Edward and the late Katherine Groh Cieslinski. Mr. Collins invented the original non-skid paint used on the Flight Deck of Air Craft Carriers to keep the planes from sliding off into the ocean. He was a member of the Tuscany Masonic Lodge of Brooklyn, N.Y. He is survived by his wife, Helen G. Bray Collins; two sons, Walter J. Collins Jr. of Whitestone, N.Y., and Robert C. Daw of Monroe, died July 31, 2005 at his home. He was 54 years of age. The son of Teresa Fennelly and the late Joseph Fennelly, he was born February 5, 1951 in New York, N.Y. John was a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. John is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia M. Daw; son, Christopher Daw and his wife, Danielle; and son, Jason Daw. "Bill" John S. (Bill) Holloran III of Cornwall-On-Hudson, a longtime area resident, died Saturday July 30, 2005 in the comfort of his home, with his family at his side. He was 83. John was predeceased in 1988 by his wife, Grace Hook Holloran. The son of John S. and Frances Holloran, he was born June 18, 1922 in New York City. He was a graduate of New York Military Academy, Class of 1942; Clark University, Class of 1951; and the University of Virginia, Class of 1962. He retired as a history teacher at New York Military Academy in 1987. First Lieutenant John S. Holloran III was a World War II veteran serving 37 months in the Central Pacific Theater as an Infantry Rifle Platoon Leader with I Company 111th Infantry Regiment. Survivors include John S. and Diana Holloran IV of Ulster Park; Douglas and Anne Holloran of Cornwall; Mary Holloran of Wheaton, Ill.; Elizabeth and Michael McGuinness of Doylestown, Pa.; Martha and Michael Ferro of Endwell, N.Y.; Catherine and Steven Holmes of Matthews, N.C.; Christine and Brad Nickerson of Byron, N.Y.; his brother, Frank (Doc) Holloran; his sister, Frances (Mickey) Boyd; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Lataro, 81 years of age of Blairstown, N.J., died July 30, 2005 at his home following a long illness. He was born in Newark, N.J. to the late Joseph and Cataldo Corollo Lataro on February 5, 1924. He has been a resident of Blairstown since 1970 having previously lived in Stanhope and in earlier years in Union, N.J. Mr. Lataro retired in 1993 as a mechanical engineer technician with Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, N.J. after 27 years of employment. He was a member of St. Jude Roman Catholic Church in Blairstown and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. A World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was also an avid Yankees fan. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary T. Kerstanski; his daughter, Deborah and her husband, Bob; two grandsons, Brian and Michael, all of Chester, N.J.; his two brothers, Charles of Union, N.J. and Salvatore of Bloomfield, N.J. The daughter of the late Gregorio Papa and Venera Calabrese, she was born March 31, 1919 in Newburgh, N.Y. She loved the operetta and Hollywood musicals of the 30's and 40's, and her talents extended to floral design. She and her beloved husband, Sam, founded and owned Foti II, a prominent florist that served many in the Greater Newburgh area. Sabatino (Sam) Martinisi predeceased her. She is survived by three daughters: Nicolina Yassaman of Monroe, Denise Walker and Venera Martinisi, both of New Windsor; one sister, Mary Martinisi of New Windsor; one grandson, Adam Walker of New Windsor; and nieces and nephews: Anthony Austria, Venera Jean Martinisi, Camille Martinisi, Gregorio Papa, Jacqueline Murray, Rosalie Rossi and Achilles Rossi. Rodriguez, Jose Reinaldo "Rei" Jose Reinaldo "Rei" Rodriguez of New Windsor, a counselor with Turning Point, St. Francis Hospital, entered into rest on Tuesday July 26, 2005 at home among the comfort of his family. He was 69. Son of the late Jose Rodriguez and Adelina Sepulveda, and the late Angela Negron, he was born June 13, 1936 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. A family statement reads: "Reinaldo was a loving and generous father who always worked hard for his family. The warmth of his smile and presence was palpable, and his family and friends basked in it. He found deep satisfaction in his work at the Turning Point, especially with his colleagues; and as a leader in the Hispanic program. He knew how to turn a tough situation around with humor and could quickly have us all smiling at life's predicaments. As his children remind us, their dad's comment set this occasion of his passing is, "The beat goes on." We acknowledge him and miss him every day." Reinaldo was a member of his local homeowner's association.
