Carroll, 64, of Schenectady, died Friday evening at Ellis Hospital, after a long illness. Dennis was born in Waterloo, N.Y. on May 12, 1941, the son of the late James and Gertrude Sheehan Carroll. He graduated from Waterloo High School, class of 1959. He was a career military man, serving in three branches of the armed service, including the US Navy in Da Nang, Vietnam; US Army and most recently in the US Air Force where he was Personnel Craftsman for the Division of Military and Navel Affairs at Stewart Air Base in Newburgh, N.Y. Dennis also was a former member of the Schenectady Elks Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Livia DiPascual Carroll, whom he married October 16, 1965; three children, Laurie Spencer of Schenectady, Michael Carroll of Hobart and Christopher Carroll of Schenectady; a granddaughter, Kelly Spencer; siblings, Mark Sheehan of Maui, Hawaii, Robert and his wife Deena Carroll of Yorktown Heights, James and his wife Mary Carroll of Spencerport and Thomas and his wife Susan Carroll of Bluff Point; many nieces and nephews. Decker, of Central Valley a furniture mover and longtime resident of the area, died Sunday, December 4, 2005 at the Orange Regional Medical Center, Arden Hill Campus, Goshen. He was 51. The son of the late Joseph L. and Evelyn DeSalvo Decker Sr., he was born on March 2, 1954 in Jersey City, N.J. Survivors include his children, Andrew Decker of Middletown and Rebecca Decker of Slate Hill; his brother Charles Scicluna and wife Barbara of the state of Florida; his sister, Patricia Spina of Chester and his grandson Dakotah Decker; as well as his many nieces and nephews and his close friends Donald and Darleen Marshall. Fischbeck, a former partner of Wallace Oil, died Monday December 5, 2005 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus. He was 86 years old. The son of the late Charles and Viola Basse Fischbeck, he was born on May 28, 1919 in Newark, N.J. A veteran of WWII, Don proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He also was an active member of the Middletown Rotary Club for 45 years. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dorothy H. Glace, Walter Frederick Walter Frederick Glace died at the age of 86 years on Friday, December 2, 2005 at Elant Nursing Home, Newburgh, N.Y. after a long illness. Mr. Glace was born to Frank and Myrtle Essler Glace on December 21, 1918 in Athens, N.Y., graduated high school in Elmhurst, Queens, and from Syracuse University's School of Forestry. He is survived by twp sisters Gladys Trefney of Lititz, Pa. and Lorraine Ramsey of Jackson, Miss.; his wife Shirley Innis Glace; his daughters Clare Roros of Mechanicsburg, Pa. and Beth Glace of Accord, N.Y.; and three grandsons. Mr. Glace operated Glace Well Drilling in Newburgh and was employed by West Point Military Academy at Stewart Field for 25 years as the foreman of Water Treatment. He was an avid outdoorsman, former Chief of the Dan Leghorn Fire Company in Orange Lake, Newburgh, and a chapter leader of the John Birch Society. Mr. Glace was a devout member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Walden, N.Y. His body has been donated to Westechester Medical College for medical education and research as per his wishes. Hoeffner, George E. George E. Hoeffner of Montgomery, a retired D.O.T. Motor Vehicle Inspector for the N.Y.S. Department of Transportation, and lifetime resident of the area, died suddenly on Sunday, December 4, 2005 in an automobile accident in Montgomery. He was 69. The son of the late Ferdinand and Clara Froehlich Hoeffner, he was born May 19, 1936 in Montgomery, N.Y. George served in the Army from 1954-1957 and also helped run the family farm in Montgomery with his brothers. He was a former member of the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, Lodge 1097, Middletown and an honorary member of the Fallsburgh Fishing and Boating Club. A family statement reads: "He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren." Mary was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Monticello where she was active as a senior usher and assisted with the Vacation Bible School and the Missionary Dept. Spignardo, a lifetime resident of New Windsor and Machine Operator for American Felt Co. in New Windsor for 40 years, died Sunday, December 4, 2005 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. He was 86. A son of Pasquale Spignardo and Jennie Crudele Spignardo, he was born February 28, 1919 in Newburgh, N.Y. John attended New Windsor and Newburgh schools. He was an avid hunter with a lifetime membership at Black Rock Fish & Game Club. He was a babysitter and playmate to all of his grand and great-grandchildren; and a weekly card and pokeno player with his wife and wonderful friends from Marlboro and Walden. He married his wife, Dolores (Dora) Battista Spignardo at Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh on December 22, 1940. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year.
