She was 87. Daughter of the late Lope and Cruz Badillo Barreto, she was born on November 16, 1918 in Moca, Puerto Rico. A family statement reads: "In loving memory of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. We know that in our hearts she is resting in peace and taking care of us as our guardian angel, as she has always done for all of us. We love you always and you will be missed, but we know that we will all be together again. So for now, we all will give you our blessing and prayers. La Bendicion Mami." Bellotto of Middletown, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus, at the age of 95. Born in Reading, Pa. on November 4, 1910, he was the son of Francisco and Carmella Talerico Bellotto. Mr. Bellotto served in the Army during World War II in the Pacific. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Middletown, serving as head usher for many years. He retired as a barber at Currier's Barber Shop, Middletown, and also worked at Carmen's Barber Shop, Middletown. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elk Lodge #1097, Middletown. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rose M. Colissimo Bellotto, at home; two sons, Frank J. Bellotto and James J. Bellotto of Middletown; four grandchildren: Melissa Rivas and her husband, Juan, of Queens, Aaron Bellotto of Miami, Fla., Stephanie Bellotto of Tampa, Fla., and Nicole Bellotto of Middletown; four brothers: Joseph Bellotto and Daniel J. Gibson Jr., Douglas District Elder Douglas Gibson, Jr. of Middletown, departed this life on December 7, 2005 to be with the Lord. He was the pastor of the Holy Deliverance Apostolic Faith Temple of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, 37 Chamber St., Newburgh, N.Y. He was born on June 4, 1939 in Buffalo, N.Y. to the late Mary Tice Gibson and Douglas Gibson, Sr. Pastor Gibson was a former member of the Greater Upperroom Apostolic Faith Church in Middletown until he was called and sent by the Lord to start his ministry in Beacon, N.Y. He later relocated the church to Newburgh, N.Y. He was a licensed and ordained minister with the New York State and Canada Council of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, where he held various positions, including Chaplain and member of the Brotherhood Auxiliary. In 2002, he was elevated to the office of District Elder, where he served faithfully until the present. He touched many souls with his ministry. He loved all people from the poorest to the richest, from the smallest to the greatest. He leaves behind to mourn, his wife of 41 years, First Lady, Mary Gibson; four daughters: Cheryl Gibson Lomax and April Burke of Middletown, Diane Taylor and Donna Gibson of Buffalo, N.Y.; one son, Darryl Gibson of Denver, Colo.; one sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Louise Clanton; mother-in-law, Mary Brown; seven grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Born January 21, 1925 in Braznell, Pa., to Susana and Zigmond Koynock, Ethel was raised in a loving family with her three siblings: Margaret, Helen, and William. In the rolling Pennsylvania hills, Ethel developed a love for the beauty of nature and a reverence for life. Moving from her rural life to the city of Pittsburgh, she continued her education and met and married Dr. Jacob Goldblatt in 1945. She was employed by Heinz Corporation, Honus Wagner Company and Schubert Theatre. Ethel traveled with her husband, Major Jack Goldblatt, while he served in the U.S. Air Force. They ultimately moved to Monroe in 1954, where she lovingly raised her family. Ethel had many accomplishments in her life. First and foremost, she dedicated herself and brought love, support and enrichment to her family. As an accomplished artist in watercolor, oil paintings, and sculpture, she held memberships and offices in many professional art organizations, exhibited nationally in juried and invitational shows and galleries, and was the recipient of prestigious awards. Her art is sensitive and life-affirming, while embodying Ethel's passion and reverence for life. Her work reflects her heart, soul and spirit. Ethel was also a natural athlete with a passion for skiing, swimming, hiking, tennis and especially golf. She won a West Point Championship and was the Monroe Country Club Champion for many consecutive years. She placed a high value on education and knowledge, continuously furthering her studies. Ethel remained active in duplicate bridge placing 64th in the 2004 World Bridge Federation pairs tournament; was an active member of the Monroe Temple of Liberal Judaism, and past president of the Monroe PTA. Surviving are her husband, Dr. Jack Goldblatt of Monroe; her son, E. Michael Goldblatt and his life partner, Celia Kingsbury, of Burlington, Vt.; her daughter, Janis Goldblatt and husband, Russell Sanders, of Ft. Collins, Colo.; her daughter, Donna Gillis and husband, Hudson Gillis, of Loch Sheldrake; her granddaughter, Rachel Leilani Gillis of Boulder, Colo.; her two step-grandchildren, Jennifer Sanders Cycoski and Craig Sanders; and her sister, Margaret Costello and brother, William Koynock, both of Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews. He was 74. The son of Marcus and Marie Cox Gray, he was born January 12, 1931 in New York City. Marcus served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He served on the board of directors for Occupations, Inc., McQuade Foundation and Planned Parenthood of the Mid Hudson Valley. He was also a member of the Chelsea Yacht Club. The son of Iver Pedersen and Laura Anderson, he was born May 22, 1919 in New Paltz, N.Y. Marty was a hunter; he maintained and was known for his gardens (beautiful New Paltz gardens); and was probably recently known for his famous Martin Pedersen's Pickles. He married Grace Eleanor "Jerrie" LaMere on July 3, 1942. She predeceased him on October 8, 2001. He is survived by his children: Kathie Ann Canny and husband, Steven, of Pottstown, Pa., Ellen J. Scott, Sr., "Scotty", age 73, died Sunday, December 11, 2005 at his home after a short illness. Logan was born in Letterkenny, Donegal, Ireland, one of ten children born to a prominent Irish family. He immigrated to the United States in 1952 and served three years in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict. Upon his discharge from service, Logan was employed through the Wood Wire and Metal Lathers' Union and the Carpenters' Local #19 until his retirement in 1997. He worked on some of New York's major buildings, local hospitals and schools, leaving his mark on many major sites. For a period of time, Logan served as business agent of the Poughkeepsie Lathers' Local. He was a hardworking and conscientious man, respected by all who worked with him. In 1958, Logan married Highland resident, Terry Gallo, who resides in Highland where they had two sons, Logan Jr. and Lance. He was a member of The Town of Lloyd ZBA and worked as coach and referee for the then budding Highland Soccer League. Until his death, Logan did volunteer work for the Highland Cemetery. He was an active member of HCC Arts and a supporter of the arts. Logan and his wife enjoyed travel, especially to his beloved home in Ireland. His greatest joy was being a father to his two sons, and a grandfather to his four grandchildren, all of whom adored him. Logan's generosity is known to many. Scotty was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Scott; and his brothers: Roy, Artie and William Scott. He is survived by his wife, Terry; his sons, Logan Jr. and his wife, Teresa, and Lance and his wife, Kathleen; and his grandchildren: Kyle, Sydney, Casey and Matthew Scott. Oscar V. White, a retried Social Worker for the County of Sullivan and a Chef at the New Age Health Spa in Neversink, N.Y., died at home on Friday December 9, 2005. He was 49. Oscar was born in Syracuse, N.Y. on February 2, 1956, the son of Vincent E. White and Dorothy F. Backus. He was a avid trout fisherman. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda White of Jeffersonville; his sister, Wanda F. Allison and her husband, David, of Columbia, S.C.; and his two nieces, Erin and Jennifer. Wilson, Margaret Anna Margaret Anna Wilson, a retired principal account clerk for the Warwick State Training School for Boys, and a former employee of Warwick Valley Telephone, died on Sunday, December 11, 2005 in St. Anthony's Community Hospital in Warwick. She was 86. The daughter of the late S. Lester and Margaret A. Ryan Wilson, she was born October 24, 1919 in Warwick, N.Y. She was a member of St. Stephen's R.C. Church in Warwick; The Catholic Daughters of America; C.S.E.A.; A.A.R.P.; the Warwick Senior Citizens; and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Warwick. Survivors include her two brothers, Harold T. Wilson of Warwick and Lester V. Wilson of Warwick; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Clifford S. Wilson and her sisters, Mildred and Frances. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 from 2-4 p.m. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home, 75 Main St., Warwick, N.Y. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 14 at 11 a.m. in St. Stephen's R.C. Church, Warwick, N.Y. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Warwick.
