She was 37. Daughter of the late Floyd and Luella Bundrant, she was born January 30, 1968 in New York City. A family statement reads, "We would like to thank the friends and family members for all their support and to keep the children of our sister, Traci in prayer." Traci was a graduate of Norman Thomas High School, and served five years with the New York City Police Department. Survivors include her daughter, Kamryn; her sons, Chase, Skyler and Tayler; her sister, Tiza Bundrant of New York City; her brothers, Floyd Bundrant of Stafford, Va., Kel Bundrant of Suwanee, Ga., and Troy Bundrant of the Bronx; her nieces and nephews, Sharice and Jerry Vance, Tori and Alexis Bundrant, Kel, Kelly and Linda Bundrant, Monice and Julian Bundrant, Shane and Troy Bundrant. Evanish, Rose Rose Evanish, 86, of Naples, Fla., died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005 at her HarborChase home. She was born March 22, 1919, one of 12 children to Helen and Adolph Kroboth in Stiles, Pa., and lived most of her childhood in Gussing, Austria. She later moved to New York, where she worked as a dressmaker, married in 1944, eventually settling in Goshen, N.Y. Rose was predeceased by her husband John Evanish after 55 years of marriage. They shared a love of music and often sang together at gatherings. With John playing his guitar, everyone loved their harmony and humor. She is survived by her daughter, Ilona Lawrence of Naples, Fla.; her son, John Evanish and Myrna of North Port, Fla.; two granddaughters, Jessica Evanish and Stephany Lawrence and son-in-law, Stephen F. Lawrence of Naples, Fla.; a brother Julius Kroboth and Helen of New Jersey; a sister, Maria Zimmerman of Austria; a cousin, Charles Gary and Caroline of Chigaco, Ill; nieces, Ann Campbell, Susan Kidney, Janet Kroboth-Weber, Marlene Schadler; nephews, Henry Margenau, Richard Kroboth, Julius Iwantsch, their spouses and children; and numerous cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews spread over three continents. She was loved greatly and will be missed by family and friends. A private family memorial will take place at Naples Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery, where her remains will be laid to rest near her husband. Gardner of Huguenot, N.Y., a retired supervisor at Otisville Correctional Facility in Otisville, N.Y. and a life-long area resident, died at home on December 27, 2005. He was 81. The son of the late Warren A. and Hilda Brooks Gardner, he was born on October 10, 1924 in Marathon, N.Y. Warren was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Port Jervis. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. He served 22 years on the Town of Deerpark Planning Board, was a life member of Roosa-Fleming V.F.W. Post #161, Port Jervis, a charter member of the Huguenot Fire Department, founded Boy Scout Troop and Cub Scouts Packs in Huguenot, and was a former member of the New York State Grange. Survivors include his wife, Grace Gardner at home, his eight sons: George Gardner of Shreveport, La., Warren Gardner, Jr. of Milford, Conn., Reginald Gardner of Matamoras, Pa., William J. Gardner of Waterloo, N.Y., Wilson Gardner of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Paul Gardner of Cypress, Calif., Donald Gardner of Huguenot, N.Y., Cpl. David Gardner, U.S. Marines, Jacksonville, N.C., 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be private at the convenience of the family. Mance, Ruth Marie King Ruth Marie King Mance, loving mother, grandmother and aunt went to be with her Lord early Sunday morning, December 25, 2005 at Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris. She was 84. Ruth was born on July 18, 1921 in Glendale, the daughter of Andrew Garner King and Barbara (von L"hr) King. She married Richard Stewart Mance on Sept. 6, 1947 at the Madison Ave. Presbyterian Church in NYC. Mr. Mance, a retired pharmacist, died on April 15, 1985. Ruth attended grade school at PS 91 in Glendale and graduated from Richmond Hill High School in 1939. She graduated from Queens College, Flushing, N.Y. in 1943 and from Yale University School of Nursing, New Haven, Conn. in 1945 with her R.N. degree. After her marriage she moved to Liberty where she worked for Dr. Payne and Loomis Hospital. She retired as Assistant Director of Nursing at the Sullivan County Home and Infirmary on Feb. 2, 1990. She was a caring and compassionate nurse. Ruth loved to bake and sew. She was known for her delicious pies and one Thanksgiving she made 24 pies for family and friends. She made delicious, creative cakes for many birthdays and showers. Ruth made many of her children's Halloween costumes and her daughter's dresses. Ruth was an avid reader, reading a book a day and also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She enjoyed the time she spent at her cottage on the lake with her family. Ruth was very proud of her family and took great interest in their lives. Her family meant everything to her and they will miss her greatly. Ruth was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Liberty and was very active in the women's organizations and circles, taught Sunday School and served as a Deacon. She gave a lot of her time and energy to the church when she was able. Ruth is survived by her children James Mance, her caregiver of the last 6 years, of Liberty and Mrs. Susan Gearhart and her husband Jeffrey of Delhi, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Amber C. Gearhart of Hummelstown, Pa., a student at the Pennsylvania State university College of Medicine in Hershey, Pa. and Kassandra M. Gearhart, a student at Elmira College; her sisters, Dorothy King Mygatt of Douglasville, Ga. and Anna King Olson of Endicott; her nieces, Ruth Bonsick and her husband Bob of Liberty, Barbara Robbins and her husband Dan of Newborn, Ga. and her nephew Dr. George Mygatt and his wife Kathi of Marietta, Ga. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Magdalene King Marz and Elvina King and her niece Joan Arnold. A private prayer service for the family will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope, N.Y. Pelak, Rose Rose Pelak, of Warwick, formerly of Montague, N.J. and Garfield, N.J. (30 years), died on December 28, 2005 at her late residence. She was 85 years old. Born on October 23, 1920 in Garfield, N.J., she was the daughter of Joseph and Rose Smegal Tutsch. She was married to the late Andrew Pelak. A homemaker, Mrs. Pelak was a member of St. Stephen's RC Church, Warwick. Survivors include her son, Ronald Pelak and his wife Kathy of West Milford, N.J.; a daughter, Sandra Copello and her husband Vincent, of Warwick; brother: William Tutsch, of the state of Florida; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pugliese, Philip Philip Pugliese, owner of P&P Plumbing and eight-year area resident, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005 in Callicoon. He was 45. The son of the late Felice and Alberta Clark Pugliese, he was born Sept. 7, 1960 in Brooklyn. Survivors include his wife Joan Leo Pugliese at home; one sister, Karen Caputo and husband Peter of Kentucky; a brother Thomas Keehner of Queens; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Karen Keehner. USAF (Ret.) age 88, a resident of Albuquerque for several years passed away December 22, 2005. Col. Ramputi is survived by his wife of 63 years, Adaline Maxwell; his son, Daniel Maxwell; daughter-in-law Yvette Heather; granddaughters, Rachel Cecile and Amber Ramputi Wasco; great-granddaughter Brittany Wasco; and great-grandson, Loren Allison. Col. Ramputi was born in Beacon, N.Y. on June 5, 1917 and was raised on the family farm in Newburgh, N.Y. He became a sports athlete and attained a football and track scholarship award to Purdue University that provided an avenue for him to gain both an education and his first love, flying. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the 11th Bombardment Wing in the Army Air Corps during the Aleutians Campaign and was awarded one of several Air Medals that would be bestowed later throughout his 30-year career. His first command as Base-Wing Commander was in Sidi Silmane in Morocco. He was Base Commander at McDill AFB, Fla. And again became Wing Commander (SAC) at Altus AFB, Okla. Under his command, the wing won the prestigious Fairchild Trophy, which proved to be the very best in all of the Strategic Air Command. As a Colonel, he graduated from the National War College, in Washington, D.C. He was in Material Command at Barksdale AFB, La. but was given another Wing at K.I. Sawyer AFB, Mich. and retired from the Air Force at Wurtsmith AFB, Mich. In his retirement, Col. Ramputi went to his roots in the family farm at Newburgh, N.Y. He was a tireless worker and worked at the Petlinz Dairy. He was a member of the Optimist Club of Newburg and Meals-on-Wheels for many years, even planting many types of vegetables for their kitchens. Col. Ramputi moved west to Albuquerque and became an enthusiastic member of the "Hot Shot" bowling team. He was active in several Air Force Reunions. "Sandy" Sanford O. "Sandy" Rasdall, of Liberty, a retired laborer and an area resident for over 30 years, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris. He was 58. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Rasdall, he was born Dec. 20, 1947 in Queens, N.Y. Sandy was an employee of Falls Poultry in Livingston Manor, N.Y. and later at Hillside Greenhouses in Liberty. Survivors include his dear friends, Dale and Carol VanDenberg of Liberty; his friends and neighbors at the Barkley Gardens in Liberty. She was 59. The daughter of the late Jorge Ventura and Paulina Lugo Ventura, she was born Jan. 14, 1946 in Puerto Rico. She was a member of St. Mary's RC Church, Port Jervis and Catholic Daughters Court Madonna #114, Port Jervis. Survivors include husband, Angel M. Rosa at home; daughter April LaVelle and husband Michael of Sparrowbush; two sons, Kenneth Rosa and wife Lisa of Easton, Pa., Jorge Rosa of Chevy Chase, Md.; mother, Paulina Ventura of Sparrowbush; two sisters, Maria Garcia and husband Victor of Middletown, Lisa Nieves and husband Luis of Ft. Soricelli, of New Windsor, a retired Lieutenant with the Rockland County Sheriff's Dept., passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. He was 61. Son of Marguerite Koepper Soricelli and the late John Soricelli, he was born on February 9, 1944 in the Bronx. He married Carol Spagnolo Soricelli on October 22, 1966 in St. Finbar Church in Brooklyn, who survives at home. John served on the state board of the Fraternal Order of Police, and was currently President of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 188 for 20 years. He was also member of the Orange County and Rockland County Shields; he was past president of UNICO and the New Windsor Loins Club; past treasurer of Brits of the Hudson Car Club; and a member of the Black Rock Fishing and Game Club. In addition to his loving wife, Carol, of 39 years, he is survived by his children, Michael Soricelli of New Windsor, Laura Graziano and her husband Richard of New Windsor, John Soricelli and his wife Nina of Arkansas, Paul Soricelli at home; his mother, Marguerite Soricelli of Florida; his brothers, Richard Soricelli and his wife Karyn of Boston and Robert Soricelli and his wife Amy of the Bronx; his granddaughter, Chiara Lynn; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
