Charles J. Bolton Sr., of Montgomery, N.Y., a resident since 1972, entered into rest February 13, 2005 in St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. He was 75. Charles was born in Ballston Spa, N.Y. on July 13, 1929 and raised in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. He was born the second son and third child of William Bolton and Myrtle Crandall. Mr. Bolton was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Walden, American Legion Post #0521 in Montgomery, N.Y. and the VFW. Charles retired in 1987 after 14 years from the Federal Aviation Administration. He also retired from the Army in 1969 as a Korean and Vietnam Disabled American Veteran after 20 years of active duty service. He proved us, friends and others just how strong, disciplined and independent he was after having a double kidney transplant two years ago at the age of 73. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ann Hallenbeck-Bolton. Survivors include his two sons, Charles Jr. and his wife Janet of Milford, Pa. and Clark and his wife Sylvia of Shelton, Conn; and one daughter, Christine and her fianc‚ Mark Sinn of Montgomery, N.Y.; grandchildren, Shannon Cobb, Sean Bolton, Alicia Maria Bolton; step-grandchild Michael Diblasi; and step-great-grandchild, Alyssa Diblasi. She was the stillborn daughter of Franz Brendle and Corina Roberts-Brendle. Deschauensee, Zita Zita DeSchauensee, of Chester, a retired editor for Prentice-Hall Publishing and a longtime resident of the area, died Saturday, February 5, 2005 at Schervier Pavilion in Warwick, N.Y. Zita was 87 years of age. The daughter of the late Anna Marie and Francis L. DeSchauensee, she was born on October 6, 1917 in Short Hills, N.J. Zita was a member of St. Columba R.C. Church, Chester. She went to school at Kent Place and Oak Knoll Schools in Summit, N.J. and later graduated from Rosemont College in Pennsylvania. She earned her Master's Degree in Social Service at Catholic University in Washington, DC. She always had a great desire to investigate items of interest, and take another course of study to become more versed in the subject matter. She is survived by her sister Nanette DeSchauensee of Warwick and her cousins. Hogan, Robert "Gary" Robert "Gary" Hogan, of Greenwood Lake, a security guard at Francis Schervier Nursing Home in Riverdale and a 10-year resident of the area, formerly of the Bronx, died Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at home. He was 47. The son of William and Eileen Leen Hogan, he was born May 25, 1957 in Thurles Cotipp, Ireland. Hultslander, of Goshen, a lifetime resident of the area, died Sunday, February 13, 2005 at home. She was 87. The daughter of the late Percival and Aleina Watters Smith VanLeuven, she was born on September 14, 1917 in Goshen. She was the widow of Donald Hultslander. Ruth was a member of the Goshen Untied Methodist Church and a founding member of the Red Door Thrift Shop. A family statement reads, "Ruth "Oma' was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, whose devotion will be remembered for always. Ruth was a model of virtue, strength, grace, dignity and faith. She provided her family with the roots of its traditions and the wings to carry them on. Her love of nature, especially the birds, will live on in the hearts of those that shared her passion." Jemmott, a longtime area resident, passed away on Saturday February 12, 2005 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, N.Y. He was 89. The son of Walter Bertram and Edna Jemmott, he was born on April 16, 1915. He was the widower of Marie Jemmott who died in 1981. He was a master mechanic, a master machinist and a talented gunsmith. Many will remember Walt as the man who was able to repair almost anything, when others couldn't, and they came to him day or night. Jones, Ella Louise Pittman Ella Louise Pittman Jones, 73, was called home on February 10, 2005 at Nyack Hospital with her family by her bedside. She was born December 21, 1931 in Plymouth, N.C. to the late Mark and Mary Pittman. She later moved and settled in Nyack, N.Y. She was married to Willie R. Jones who preceded her in death in 1961. Mrs. Jones was employed by Nyack Hospital until her retirement in 1981. In 1988, she joined the Foster Grandparents Program and worked for the Nyack Headstart School until her illness. Ella was an active and dedicated member of the Hollingsworth Memorial Church-Family Worship Center in Nyack, N.Y. for over 45 years, where she served faithfully on the local and district level as President of the Upper Hudson District Ushers Board, Rockland County Ministerial Alliance Ushers Board, Pastor's Aide Committee, Women's Department, Mothers Board, Secretary of Sunday School, HMC Ushers Board, Secretary of Prayer and Bible Band and Cleaning Committee. Mother Jones had a great love for God and for people. She was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed. The son of the late Walter and Adelette Rockwell Rose, he was born April 12, 1942 in Bronx, N.Y. Walter served in the US Army and worked for Con Edison for 18 years. He moved to Sullivan County 25 years ago from Maywood, N.J. He was an addiction services counselor at the Sullivan County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services. A statement from friends reads, "Walter was one of the best friends a person could have. His kindness and compassion were remarkable. He will be forever remembered in the hearts of his loved ones. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Bloomingburg. She was also the past president of the Rock Hill Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her loving husband Harold E. Williams on Aug. 13, 1986 and by her son Ted S. Williams on Dec. 21, 1992. Survivors include 3 daughters, Audrey Sloat of Rock Hill, Bonnie Smith and her husband Gary of Rock Hill and Susan Foss and her husband Larry of Hobe Sound, Fla.; 2 brothers, Ted Valinski and his wife Mary of Ormond Beach, Fla. and Jack Valinski and his wife Ann of Lititz, Pa.; 4 grandchildren, Christian, Tyler and Casey Foss of Florida and Stacey Albrecht of Florida; 1 great-grandson Gabriel Foss of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Martha Murtha and 2 brothers Joseph and Stanley Valinski also predeceased her. Friends may call at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 55 St. John St., Monticello on Friday Feb. 18, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sat. Feb. 19, 2005 at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, RT 17K, Bullville at 10 a.m. The Rev. Patrick McQuigan will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Hill Cemetery, Rock Hill, N.Y.
