The daughter of the late William and Mabel Moshier Fullerton, she was born September 8, 1917 in Newburgh, N.Y. She was a retired custodian at the Federal Courthouse in Phoenix, Ariz. Peggy leaves behind two sons, Robert Todd and his wife, Elke, of the Town of Newburgh and Richard Todd of Glendale, Ariz.; and one daughter, Lynn Coykendall of Phoenix, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and three cousins. The daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Thompson McLaughlin, she was born August 20, 1918 in Walden. Dorothy was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She cherished each and every one. She will be sadly missed and the wonderful memories she left us with will go on for many generations to come. Loretta E. Gilbert, of Huntersville, N.C., formerly of Lake Huntington, a longtime resident of the area, died Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, N.Y. She was 67. The daughter of the late Frederick and Natalie "Lillian" DeSantis Gasko, she was born September 2, 1937 in Lake Huntington. She graduated high school from Narrowsburg Central School and St. Claires Nursing School, NYC. She married Maurice Gilbert Jr. in 1962. She was a registered nurse at Community General Hospital in Harris and more recently, with Presbyterian Hospital Wellsley Health Care in Charlotte, N.C., where she received a Grace Under Adversity Award. Also there is a plaque that she received from a patient which hangs on a wall in Harris Hospital, it says: "For her loving, kindness, gentle and efficient care, untiring devotion, unending patience during the time when it is so sorely needed." She also was part owner of Gilbert's Inn in Lake Huntington for 9 years. Loretta was a member of the NYS Nurses Association, the Town of Cochecton Ambulance Corp and Womens Community Club of Cochecton. Survivors include her husband, Maurice J. Ruth was a member of the Goshen Untied Methodist Church and a founding member of the Red Door Thrift Shop. A family statement reads, "Ruth "Oma' was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, whose devotion will be remembered for always. Ruth was a model of virtue, strength, grace, dignity and faith. She provided her family with the roots of its traditions and the wings to carry them on. Her love of nature, especially the birds, will live on in the hearts of those that shared her passion." Matthews, of Greenwood Lake, having retired from the New York City Police Department as a Sergeant, died Wednesday February 16, 2005 at St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick. He was 65. The son of Alfred and Agnes Saib Matthews, he was born on March 18, 1939 in the Bronx. A veteran, Mr. Matthews served in the US Army. Mr. matthews was a member of the Holy Rosary Church, the Greenwood Lake American Legion, the Sergeant's Benevolent Society of the NYPD and the Orange County Shields. A family statement reads, "Donald was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by all who knew him." Ryan, "Laddie", a retired telephone operator for Bell Telephone in White Plains, N.Y., died Wednesday February 16, 2005, at Elant at Goshen in Goshen, N.Y. She was 94. The daughter of Arthur Bennett and Adelaide Matthews Bennett, she was born September 20, 1910 in St. Cloud, Minn. Adelaide was the widow of Jack Lantry and Martin Ryan. Church in Cornwall, N.Y. and is survived by one son, Jack Lantry, Jr., of Long Island, N.Y.; one brother, Robert Bennett of Marlborough, N.H.; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one goddaughter, Jean H. Campbell. She was predeceased by her son, Robert Lantry and her sister, Georgie Bambace. The funeral services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. She was 88. The last of eight children born to the late Charles Harris and Margaret Foster Harris, she was born August 21, 1916 in Harris, the town named after her family. Josephine had an undying love for her late husband, "Hank". She was also a devoted wife and mother, who was a true Christian and lifelong supporter of the United Methodist Church of Monticello. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Mr. Wood died on Sunday, February, 13, 2005, in Lawton. Woody was born on June 19, 1950, in Rhode Island to James and Ruth (Hagenow) Wood. He graduated from Delaware Valley Central High School in 1968. He then joined the United States Army in New York City. He retired in September of 1991 as a Master Sergeant, after earning numerous awards and citations including a Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal w/ Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal w/ Second Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal w/ Service Star, Army Achievement Medal w/ Oak Leaf Cluster, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon-3, Combat Infantry Badge, and the Drill Sergeant Identification Badge. He received an Associates Degree from The University of Maryland. In 1990 he received his LPN Certification from Great Plains Vo-Tech. He was employed at Comanche County Memorial Hospital until his death.
