Nellie C. Boyce, a long time resident of Middletown, passed away peacefully June 30, 2005 in Orange Regional Medical Center at Horton. She was 77. Nellie was born November 11, 1927 in Shawangunk, New York to Selah and Frances Decker Hadden. A loving Mother, Grand mother and great-grandmother, loyal friend to many, loved deeply by family, she enjoyed her work as a food service worker at Middletown Park Manor for many years. She will be forever in our hearts, Rest in peace. She is survived by her beloved sons Carl E. Boyce and his wife Mary, Rex A. Boyce and companion Carol and Russel E. Deangelo, Maureen Maureen DeAngelo, a 28-year resident of the Woodridge/Ellenville area, and a retired worker of the Tamarack Lodge, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at her home. She was 65. The daughter of the late Robert Bartholomew and Veronica Slattery, she was born June 20, 1940 in Astoria, N.Y. She was the widow of Michael DeAngelo, owner/operator of "D" Builders and a former employee of Dynamite Youth Center. He predeceased her on June 17, 1991. She was a communicant of the Church of St. Mary and St. Andrew. Survivors include her daughters, Kelly Ann Pysher-Achatz and her husband Mark Achatz of Attica, N.Y., Deborah DeAngelo and her companion Andy Castelli of Woodridge; three grandchildren, Bari-Morgan Allor of Woodridge, Jeremy Michael Pysher and John Michael Achatz of Attica; sister, Veronica Parker of Queens; brother Robert Slattery and his wife Joan of Pennsylvania; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Hall, Anna Marie Anna Marie Hall, a longtime area resident died Monday, June 27, 2005 at home. She was 50 years old. The daughter of Jeanette Edwards Hall and the late William Hall, Anna was born on February 9, 1955 in Tuxedo, N.Y. In 1984, Anna moved back to the area from Indiana and worked as a Health and Safety Officer for J.T. Paint in Bloomingburg for eight years until her retirement and was a member of the Kingdom Hall in Wallkill. A family statement reads: "With her selfless manner, Anna brought joy to countless others and will be greatly missed by all." Anna is survived by her mother, Jeanette Hall of Marshall, AK; one son, Dana Gordon and his fianc‚e Deandra of Middletown; one daughter, Penny Mikey and her husband Scott of Unionville; seven siblings, Caroline Krevein and her husband John of New Port Richie, FL, Laura Curtis of Goshen, Diane Hall of Kingston, Billy Hall and his wife Debbie of Middletown, Lenny Hall and his wife Melanie of Conway, SC, Linda Hall and her husband Jeff of Rodgers, AK and John Hall and his wife Stephanie of Southpark, NC. Hamilton, a LaGrange resident since 1969, formerly of Newburgh, died June 29, 2005 in Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital. He was 75. The son of Gerald Hamilton and Margaret Saul, he was born February 25, 1930 in Akron, Ohio. He received a BS from Bob Jones University and a Master's in Social Work from SUNY Albany. He married Eleanor J. Osterback on June 16, 1951 at the Swedish Covenant Church in Spokane, Wash. She survives at home. He was a former director of Mental Health of Orange County in Goshen; former director of Social Services in Orange County in Newburgh. From 1989-2004, he was former director of Volunteer Services for Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties; assistant director of the Greer School in Millbrook, N.Y. While at Hospice of Orange and Sullivan, he organized a fund raising event called the "Tree of Life" which was in the Galleria at Crystal Run. The event commemorated the lives of people who have died in the past year by placing a star on the Christmas tree. James provided the Hospice staff great moral support, a sense of charm, friendship and a great sense of humor. He was also a volunteer at Hospice of Dutchess County. He loved to travel and was an avid gardener. Smith Assoc. in 1962 in Newburgh. He was credentialed as a Hardware Consultant in 1962. He was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Hudson Valley Construction Contractors Assoc., former member of the Board of Directors of the NY Society of Hardware Consultants and a member of the Door and Hardware Institute. Kaweski of White Sulphur Springs, N.Y., a retired Electrician with I.B.E. The son of the late Samuel and Mary Kaweski, he was born July 28, 1919 in Philadelphia, Pa. Edward served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Panama Canal Zone. He was born February 13, 1924 in Sauquoit, N.Y., the son of the late William and the late Minnie Nicholas Kilbourn. A charter member and former president of the Sauquoit, NY Rotary Club, he had also been a member of the Blairstown, NJ and Clarkstown, NY Rotary Clubs and was presently a member of the Port Jervis, NY Rotary Club; former president of the Utica Curling Club; member of the Grand National Curling Club of America; former treasurer and member of the Curling Foundation and was a member of the NYS Championship Curling Team; a Neighborhood Chairman of the United Way; an Eagle Scout and member of the Regional Council Executive Committee of the Boy Scouts of America; Minisink Historical Society Board; Bon Secours Community Hospital Foundation Board; member of the Port Jervis Arts Walk Board and Tri-State Chamber of Commerce. Doctor Kilbourn had his dental practice in Chadwicks, NY from 1953-1977; and from 1977 to 1981 served as Chairman of the New York Republican State Committee. In 1981 he became the Regional Director of the U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services for New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands. She was 67. Della was born March 23, 1938 to John and Katherine (Clifford) Mullen. On July 21, 1962, she married Jerry McAuliffe, a native of Cork City, Ireland in St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church in the Bronx and has lived in Pearl River since 1974. Della is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry and her loving, children Jerry and his wife Brenda of Monroe and Kathleen McAuliffe of Pearl River. A lifelong resident of Port Jervis, he worked for 26 years as a ticket agent for the Erie Railroad. He was 85. Born in Matamoras, Pa. on January 31, 1920, he was the only child of Edna May Hess Werner and Wilfred John Werner. A 1939 graduate of Matamoras High School, he entered the US Army in April 1942. During World War II, he trained with the Company A of the 149th Infantry Regiment and in March 1944, he arrived in Naples, Italy with the 4th Corps. By May 1945, the company had pushed through Rome and Sgt. Werner was awarded the Bronze Star. His company then moved up through Milan and Florence and later spent time in Northern Africa before returning to the United States in September 1945. Mr. Werner had many avocations, including philately, numismatics, archeology, painting and travel. He worked on archaeological digs from 1959 through the 1980s with fellow members of the Lenape Chapter of the Society of Pennsylvania Archeology and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. He worked on the Zimmerman Site near Dingman's Ferry, Pa., which was excavated from 1962 through 1972, and contributed to the 1972 book "Archeology of the Upper Delaware Valley," which was published by Franklin and Marshall College. The work proceeded in earnest to try to gain as much information as possible before the Tocks Island Recreation Project flooded the area. The Tocks Island Project never came to fruition and the sites were spared. He lectured on the archeology of the region to school children and also assisted graduate students from Franklin and Marshall College. Since his desire was for his research to be used to educate ohers, his collection has been donated to the Pennsylvania Historical Museum Commission Bureau for Historical Preservation in Harrisburg, Pa. Mr. Werner was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Rosemary With Werner, who died on February 1, 2005. He is survived by his five children, John M. Werner and his wife Kathy of Hurley, N.Y., David F. Werner and his wife Paula of Stockbridge, Ga., Kathryn Zlomeck and her husband Peter of Utica, N.Y., Paul Werner of Prattsburgh, N.Y. and Susan Werner of Toms River, N.J.; five grandchildren; several nieces; and a nephew. Wright, 47 years old, of New Windsor and Currency Verifier with the Federal Reserve Bank in East Rutherford, NJ, died suddenly as a result of an auto accident on June 29, 2005. The son of Thomas and Mary Wright, he was born May 24, 1958 in New York, NY. He was a Charter Member and Deacon of Solid Rock Sound of Praise Pentecostal Church in Newburgh and a 2005 graduate of Felician College in NJ with an Associate's Degree in business. Survivors include his wife Cynthia Davis Wright at home; two sons: Jason Wright and Curtis Wright both of New Windsor; one daughter Jasmin Wright of New Windsor; one brother Bernard Wright & his wife Nina of Roanoke, Va.; three sisters: Janice Wright, Joan Kirnard & Joyce Wright all of the Bronx; brothers-in-law Thomas Davis & Eric Davis & wife Sandy; two grandchildren April & Jason Wright Jr.; and host of nieces & nephews. Friends and relatives may call at the New Hope Baptist Church, 100 Mill St., Newburgh from 3:30 -4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 2. Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. Dr. L.
