She was 84. The daughter of the late Joseph and Lorenza Prestimonico, she was born July 29, 1920 in Frazzano, Italy. She was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Port Jervis and I.L.G.W.U. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Ann Muller and her husband Michael of Port Jervis; one brother Joseph Prestimonico and his wife Rose of Port Jervis; three grandsons, Michael Muller and his wife Melissa, Scott Muller and Jason Muller; five great-grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Jessica, Jennifer and Jordon Muller; sister-in-law, Mary Prestimonico of Jersey City, N.J.; several nieces and nephews. Cirigliano, of Newburgh, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at home. He was 83. Son of the late Salvatore and Amelia Fava Cirigliano, he was born on December 28, 1921 in New York City. He married Concetta Angrisani Cirigliano on July 5, 1947, who survives at home. They had just celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. John was a devoted and beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle to his family. He served his country bravely during WW II, and was honorably discharged on November 2, 1945. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife Concetta, he is survived by his son John Cirigliano and his wife Michelle of Newburgh; his daughters, Patricia Oswald and her husband Peter of Georgia, Donna Swindell of Connecticut; his sisters, Theresa Cavanna of Connecticut, and Rosalie Falutico of New City; his eight grandchildren, Danny Cirigliano and his wife Kelly, Tara Cirigliano, Kari Cirigliano, Angelia Cirigliano, Tricia Oswald, Jennie Dean and her husband Alex, Erick Swindell and his wife Kristina, Craig Swindell; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ellett, John John Ellett, of Ellenville, a lifelong resident and a bottle gas driver for Suburban Propane, Ellenville, died July 6, 2005 in the Albany Medical Center. He was 78. The son of John and Sylvia Fuller Ellett, he was born September 21, 1926 in Shinnhopple, N.Y. He was the widower of Beverley Porter Ellett. He was an honorary member of the Royal Blue Vests, a life-member of the Kinble Hose Company and served in the United States Army during WW II. Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Lou Wilhelm and her husband Edward of Napanoch; her brother Richard Ellett of Hancock; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Cyrstal and Matthew; several nieces and nephews. The son of Pasqu and Catherine Ferra Pariso, he was born on August 1, 1919 in Newark, New Jersey. George moved to Lake Placid in 1980 from Miami where he retired as President of Eastern Auto Leasing and Pan American Motors. He served his country during World War II in the US Army as a medic; attended the First Assembly of God Lake Placid, he was a member of the VFW and American Legion both of Lake Placid and a communicant of St. Aloysius Church in Livingston Manor. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Laverne "Sue," at home. Pollak, Teresia Teresia Pollak, of Ellenville, a resident since 1955, and a devoted wife and mother, died July 6, 2005 in the Kingston Hospital. She was 89. The daughter of John and Anna Marie Scherer Karsay, she was born September 23, 1915 in Budapest, Hungary. Survivors include her husband Zoltan Pollak in Ellenville; her sons R. Robert Pollak of Brooklyn Heights and Steven Kovacs of Ellenville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren all residing in California; several nieces and nephews. Wood, a former Suffern resident and resident of Lake George, N.Y., passed away July 6, 2005 at the age of 90. Born in Suffern, N.Y. to Tomaso and Christine (Vantora) Checke, Mary worked for Avon Products in Suffern. Mary is survived by her children: Loretta Wood Kelly, Gloria Wood, Irene Wood Gallagher and husband, Daniel, Virginia Wood Zaleski and husband, Phillip, Richard Wood and wife, Adele, Robert Wood and wife, Diana, Roger Wood and wife, Barbara; 26 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Irene Kock Checke, and Elizabeth Lilinho Checke; and one brother, Edward Checke also survive her. She was predeceased by her daughter, Christine Wood Winter, and two sons-in-laws, Irving Winter and George Kelly.
