She was 66. Daughter of the late Stephen and Virginia Doughty, she was born on February 12, 1939. Ann was a devoted member of Grace United Methodist Church, Newburgh. "Doc" Eule, 66, of Middletown, Del., passed away on Wed., July 27, 2005 at the Christiana Hospital. Robert was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived most of his life in the NY/NJ area. As a young man he served his country in the US Navy and earned a degree from William Patterson College in Patterson, NJ. Robert was a school teacher in the New Jersey School system for over 25 years, the last 15 of which were dedicated to helping children with mental disadvantages. "Doc" was a dedicated teacher, a loving husband, and a doting father, who will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; 3 sons, Robert, Christopher and Joseph; 1 daughter, Linda Hoffmann; 1 sister Gail Dorr; and 5 grandchildren. Services will be held privately. Goodwin of Monroe, an insurance broker for over 50 years, and a lifetime resident of the area, died Tuesday July 26, 2005 at his home. He was 82 years old. The son of Herbert and Margaret Goodwin, he was born October 7, 1922 in Monroe, N.Y. He was the founder and president of the Orange County Veterans Battle of the Bulge; member and past president of the Monroe Country Club; member of Sustainable Hudson Valley; donor to Hudson Valley Land Trust; served on the Village of Monroe Planning Board; formerly Orange County Regional Planning Commission; and the Maywood N.J. Town Council. He was a graduate of the Storm King School in Cornwall and of Lafayette College in Eaton, Pa. A family statement reads: "Herbert was a unique individual; a man of deep integrity and great wit; a lover of nature, animals, golf and children. He was never afraid to speak his mind and take an ethical stand." Herbert is survived by his longtime companion, Carolyn Falk; his children: Patricia Goodwin of New York City, Deidre and Mark D'Aguila of Cambridge, N.Y., and John and Pamela Goodwin of New Canaan, Conn. Ella T. Greenlaw of Garnerville, died Thursday July 28, 2005 at home. She was 67. Ella was born August 22, 1937 at Cabrini Hospital in New York City to Charles and Theresa Joyce. She attended Thorpe Academy Business School and later worked at Albank in Haverstraw. She was currently working for Haverstraw Transit. Ella was a member and Elder of Central Presbyterian Church and a member of the Ladies B.P.O.E. 877 in Haverstraw. She was an avid Bingo player and card player. She will be sadly missed by all. Ella is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Gerald; her son, Gerald and his wife, Joyce, of Warwick; two daughters, Deborah Locicero and her husband, Joseph, of Tomkins Cove, and Lisa Madonna and her husband, Frank, of Stony Point; and her ten grandchildren. Kasofsky, David David Kasofsky, a lifelong resident of Swan Lake and the founder of Warehouse Paint and Carpet, died Thursday July 28, 2005 at Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris. He was 81. David was born in New York City on January 17, 1924, the son of Nathan and Martha Gitlin Kasofsky. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Horse Calvary in Burma, India. He had a passion for horses and animals all of his life. A family statement reads: "David started in life working on his father's farm in Swan Lake. He started mixing and selling paint out of a barn in Swan Lake in the 1950's, and later on went on to open and operate Warehouse Paint & Carpet in Liberty, a business that he never retired from. He will be remembered for his engaging sense of humor, his boyish charm and great smile. He was a tremendous supporter of human rights, always supporting the underdog. He always gave quietly, without recognition, to any person in need. His lifelong example of compassion and kindness will be remembered by all." David, a cherished father and grandfather, leaves behind one son, Paul Kasofsky and his wife, Annette; his granddaughter, Brett Kasofsky; two sisters, Esther Berger of Greenfield, Mass., and Miriam Rice of Middletown; two nieces, Bonnie Berger of Greenfield, Mass., and Mona Rice of Middletown; and one nephew, Mark Rice of Middletown. Knapp Jr., better known as "Junior", of Gardiner, a retired caretaker for Wallkill Valley Cemetery in Walden for 30 years and a lifetime resident of the area died Thursday July 28, 2005 in Poughkeepsie. He was 74. The son of the late Edward I. and Matilda Matthews Knapp, he was born May 5, 1931 in Kingston, N.Y. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Eloise VanLeuven Knapp, at home; two sons, Edward Knapp of Rutland, Vt., and Dennis Knapp and wife, Bonnie, of Wallkill; one daughter, Darlene McMillan and husband, Danny, of Kerhonkson; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Benson and husband, Max, of Saugerties; and nieces and nephews. Dennis Robert O'Dell, Sr. was born October 28,1941, in Teaneck, N.J. to Nicholas Bogerman and Elizabeth Jane (DeMarzo) O'Dell. He departed this life with loved ones by his side on Sunday July 24, 2005, at his home in Rose, Okla., at the age of 63 years, 8 months, and 26 days. Dennis grew up in and attended school at Park Ridge, N.J. He later moved to Chester, N.Y. where he resided for the next 30 years. While there, he built his own log cabin home on Kings Highway. He worked as an owner/operator driving trucks and opened his own business called Sugar Loaf Mountain Garden Supply. He remained self-employed until moving to Rose, Okla. in July 2002. Dennis was a man very well grounded in his faith in God and he greatly valued all living things. He was exceptionally strong physically, mentally and spiritually. Dennis was a relatively simple man, at times, to the point of crude. His actions spoke louder than words and he was known to be honest, generous and fair. Dennis was knowledgeable about many things, however, he excelled with mechanics of all kinds and could fix or modify anything. He enjoyed fishing whenever he could make the time to go. He had a great fondness for old steam trains, particularly the Union Pacific Big Boy 4-8-8-4. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. Dennis is survived by five children: Dennis Robert O'Dell Jr. and wife, Lisa Marie of Locust Grove, Okla., and Robert Everett O'Dell and wife, Lisa Marie, Ann-Marie Denise Pierce and husband, Ronald Lee, and Ginny Lynn Raith and husband, Nathan Timothy, all of Rose, Okla., and Nicholas Allen O'Dell and wife, Lea Michelle, of Tahlequah, Okla.; two brothers, Norman Anthony O'Dell and Arthur Douglas (Corky) O'Dell, both of Verplanck, N.Y.; three sisters: Barbara Ann Sisco of Peekskill, N.Y., June Audrey O'Dell of Verplanck, N.Y., and Linda Sue O'Dell of Honesdale, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Rodriguez, Jose Reinaldo "Rei" Jose Reinaldo "Rei" Rodriguez of New Windsor, a counselor with Turning Point, St. Francis Hospital, entered into rest on Tuesday July 26, 2005 at home among the comfort of his family. He was 69. Son of the late Jose Rodriguez and Adelina Sepulveda, and the late Angela Negron, he was born June 13, 1936 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. A family statement reads: "Reinaldo was a loving and generous father who always worked hard for his family. The warmth of his smile and presence was palpable, and his family and friends basked in it. He found deep satisfaction in his work at the Turning Point, especially with his colleagues; and as a leader in the Hispanic program. He knew how to turn a tough situation around with humor and could quickly have us all smiling at life's predicaments. As his children remind us, their dad's comment set this occasion of his passing is, "The beat goes on." We acknowledge him and miss him every day." Reinaldo was a member of his local homeowner's association. Scott, Jeanne M. Jeanne M. Scott, 73, a resident of N. Fort Myers, FL and formerly of Fort Montgomery, NY passed away on May 19, 2005. She was born in Weehawken, NJ to James F. and Dorothy R. McCabe. She was a 1950 graduate of Highland Falls High School. She later graduated from the Katharine Gibbs School in New York City. Jeanne enjoyed most of her life raising her family in the Town of Highlands. She was active in both her church and her community. She was a charter member of the Fort Montgomery Fire Dept. Ladies' Auxiliary. She worked for the United States Postal Service in Fort Montgomery from 1968 until 1991 when she retired. After their retirement, the Scotts resided in Lake Fairways, North Fort Myers, FL, where they established many new friendships. Mrs. Scott is survived by her husband of 48 years, C. David Scott and her four children Jeanne S. Norman, C. David Scott, Jr., Michael F. Scott and Stephen H. Scott and their respective spouses. She is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Donnery, a brother, Peter McCabe, two sisters-in-law, Joan McCabe and Trudy McCabe, a brother-in-law, Robert D. Mr. Villa was born in Newburgh on May 2, 1928, a son of the late Clement and Marion Cassidy Villa. He was a graduate of the class of 1945 at Newburgh Free Academy. A World War II veteran, he served for over 30 years in the U.S. Navy. He was commissioned as a chef on many ships including the U.S.S. Henley and was employed by IBM in Kingston as a chef until his retirement. He was a member of Newburgh Elks Lodge 247, AOH Division 2 Cornwall, Pastime Club, Moose Lodge, Newburgh Masonic Temple, Italian Center of Poughkeepsie, and Washington Heights Club of Newburgh. The family statement reads, "His legacy is: Family, Love, Friendship and...Good Friend." Surviving are his wife, Rosie May "Toni" Villa; nephews: Clem Villa, Brian Ortale, and Keith Ortale; nieces: Jackie Vila-McGowan, Patrice Ortale-Cuccorullo, Lynn Ortale-VonNeumann, and Kathy Ortale-Antolak; grandnieces and grandnephews. The daughter of Bernice Bloomer Kolvenbach and the late Herman Kolvenbach, she was born February 16, 1945 in Port Jervis, N.Y. Joyce was also an executive secretary for Truly Nolan, a nation-wide exterminator company located in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. A family statement reads: "She will be greatly missed by all." She was the widow of Henry Young.
