William K. Bundenthal, 75, of Warwick, passed away on June 4, 2005 at his home in Warwick, N.Y. Born on December 24, 1929 in the Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of William and Katherina Kallenbach Bundenthal. Mr. Bundenthal was a retired Crane Operator with Operating Engineers Local 15. He was a Sergeant 1st Class with the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was past president of the Nanuet Ambulance Corp and a member of St. Stephen's Church in Warwick. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Keenan Bundenthal; five children: Christine Bria of Apex, N.C., Jean Marie Scully of Warwick, William Bundenthal of Warwick, Terence Bundenthal of Raleigh-Durham, N.C., and Matthew Bundenthal of Willow Springs, N.C.; and nine grandchildren: Frank, Michael, Kaitlyn, Nicole, Brianna, Corissa, William, Sean and Kerrian. Davis, Patricia Patricia Davis, a longtime area resident, died Friday June 3, 2005 at Arden Hill Hospital, Goshen, N.Y. She was 56. The daughter of the late Joseph P. Fina and Charlotte Maines Puff, she was born March 10, 1949 in Newburgh, N.Y. She is survived by her mother, Charlotte Puff; her son, William Davis; four brothers: Michael Fina, William Fina, Jeff Fina, and Gary Fina; two sisters, Diane Fina and Susan Toftegaard; loving friend, John Decker; and aunts, uncles, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Monday June 6, 2005 from 5-7 PM at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd. (Route 32), Town of Newburgh. Gerardi of Washingtonville, a retired produce manager for Shop-Rite of 10 years and a 15-year resident of the area, died June 3, 2005, at Hudson Valley Hospital. He was 69 years of age. The son of the late Anthony and Vera Gerardi, he was born June 14, 1935 in Mount Kisco, N.Y. A family statement reads: "Tony had a wonderful disposition and everyone he met loved him. He has exuberance for life that's unmatched. Throughout his illness, he kept his electric personality alive by looking forward to his favorite pastime...trips to Atlantic City that he and Lynne would take with his buddy, Jack and his wife, Honey. Tony so appreciated Jack's Sunday visits throughout his long illness. What meant the most to Tony was his love of his family. He was content to be at home gardening or having family get-togethers at the house." Survivors include the love of his life, his wife, Lynne; son: Mark Gerardi and his wife, Katherine, of Brunswick, Maine; son: Steven Gerardi and his wife, Kelly, of San Antonio, Texas; son: Greg Gerardi and his wife, Maryam, of Buenos Aires, Argentina; daughter: Marni Gramaglia and her husband, Bill, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; son: Brian Scheuer and his love, Jennifer, of Norwich, N.Y.; his "adopted family", Ira and Kyle Krigsman of Washingtonville, and their children: Taylor Faith, Andrew Jordan and Cariana Jaleen; six grandchildren: Anthony, Marcus, Ashton Leigh, Kimia, Yasmin, and Emma Grace; and his sister, Londie Greatrix of Stoneham, Mass. Greenberg, Jeanne Jeanne Greenberg, a longtime resident of Monticello, passed away peacefully in Great Neck, N.Y. on June 4, 2005, after a long illness. She was 84. Born Jeanne Sally Shapiro, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was married to the late Dr. Isidore S. Greenberg, who was a practicing physician in Monticello for over 30 years, and where she lived for 40 years. Jeanne graduated from Pratt Institute in 1940, as a dietitian, and worked in the health field until her marriage to then Navy Officer Isidore Greenberg in 1945. She worked alongside her husband in his medical practice until his death in 1983. She is survived by her three children: Dr. Ellen Greenberg of Sofia, Bulgaria; Stephen Greenberg of San Antonio, Texas; and David Greenberg of New York City. Jean was predeceased by two sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Broadway in Monticello. Maestrini, Ivan Ivan Maestrini, a retired teacher for Ladycliff College in Highland Falls, N.Y., and 10-year area resident, died Thursday June 2, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was 88. The son of the late Marziale and Teres Pallazzi, he was born June 5, 1917 in Vernio, Italy. He is survived by his wife, Maria Bruno Maestrini, at home; one sister-in-law, Lucia Bambino of New Windsor; one nephew, Joseph Bambino of Herndon, Va.; three sisters, and nieces and nephews living in France. Paden, of New Windsor, a lifetime resident of the area and also resided in Florida for a number of years, entered into rest Thursday, June 2, 2005 in Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York City. She was 78. Daughter of the late Charles and Helen McNulty Carlstrom, she was born June 8, 1926 in Newburgh, N.Y. She was married to the late Russell A. Paden, who predeceased her in 2002. Helen was a parishioner of St. Patrick's Church in Newburgh, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Society and the Bereavement Prayer Group, and was a member of the Newburgh Bowling Assn., where she was inducted into the Hall of Fame. She was a caring, loving person who touched many lives, and will be dearly missed. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Jo-Ann Paden of New Windsor; her brothers, John J. Carlstrom and William Carlstrom; her sisters, Hilda Friedel and Eileen E. Conover; three grandchildren, her beloved Michael R. Paden, Tracey Carvell and Michelle Elkayem; two great-grandchildren, Corey Robertson and Casey Carvell; one great-grandson, Daniel Robertson; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Pasmik, Eleonor Emilia Eleonor Emilia Pasmik, a cherished family member, died peacefully on June 3, 2005 of pancreatic cancer at the home of her sister, Edna, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 6, 1925 in New York City to Paul and Elizabeth Pasmik. Eleonor graduated from Queens College in 1946 with a Bachelor of Science degree and later the Columbia University School of Library Science. At the time of her retirement, she held the position of Assistant Librarian at the New York University Medical Center. She was a lover of classical music, the fine arts, her beloved cat, Thomas, and traveling, which included trips to Mexico, Cuba, China, Hong Kong, Hawaii, England, Italy, and France. Using her library experience she volunteered at the Middletown Thrall Library Book Store and at the Horton Hospital Library. Her thirst for knowledge continued after she came to Middletown, she learned mah-jong, quilting, and water color painting. She was a member of the Women's University Club; the Middletown Art Group; and the Senior Citizens Club at O.C.C.C. Eleonor is survived by her sister, Edna Nelson and her husband, Alan, of Greenville; nephew, David Nelson of Middletown; niece, Wendy Nelson Eichhorn and her husband, Andrew; great-nephew, Adam Nelson Eichhorn; and great-niece, Kacie Elizabeth Eichhorn, all of Carmel, N.Y. "Frank" Polchinski, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away June 4, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 41. Born June 6, 1963 in the Bronx, he was the son of William J. and Carol A. Polchinski. A devoted husband and father, Frank was a Washingtonville High School graduate; member of St. Mary's C.Y.O.; and was also an avid Yankees fan. He graduated from The Culinary Institute of America and was an executive chef for 19 years. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Robyn Montgomery Polchinski; and their four treasured children: Taylor, Lorraine, Conner, and newborn daughter, Isabelle, all at home. He is also survived by his parents, William J. and Carol A. Polchinski of Monroe; brothers: Michael Polchinski of Clearwater, Fla., William Polchinski, Jr. of Middletown, Charles DiStefano of Wallkill, Douglas Montgomery of Walden, Charles Montgomery of Wallkill, Terence Shea of East Hampton, N.Y.; sister, Dawn DiStefano of Wallkill; and an abundance of adored nieces, nephews and in-laws. Purcell, Michael Michael Purcell of Walden, a physical education and classroom teacher for 32 years in Washingtonville School District, and a lifetime resident of the area, died Saturday June 4, 2005 in Newburgh. He was 53. The son of Thomas and Theresa Bruschi Purcell, he was born September 18, 1951 in Newburgh, N.Y. Mike graduated from Valley Central High School and received his Bachelors Degree, magna cum laude, from Manhattan College in 1973. Mike attended Lady of the Lake Chapel in Newburgh. He was a baseball coach for Walden Little League, Valley Central School District, Washingtonville School District, Montgomery Cardinal's, The Newburgh Cannons, Mount St. Mary's College and The Newburgh Nuclears. Mike was also a coach for the Walden Rotary Soccer Club and Washingtonville Girl's Varsity Basketball Team. A family statement reads: "Mike was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. His passion for baseball was shown through his many years of teaching and coaching. He was devoted to his players both on and off the field." Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Ruth Conklin Purcell, at home; and his three loving children: Trevor Michael, at home, and his girlfriend Melissa Picone, Brady Thomas at home, and Kelly Marie of the Town of Newburgh and her fianc‚, Al Guidice; one grandson, Parker Guidice of the Town of Newburgh; his parents, Thomas and Theresa Bruschi of Walden; two brothers, Daniel Purcell and his wife, Eileen, of Campbell Hall, and John Purcell and his girlfriend, Maria Lambros, of Oneonta, N.Y.; one sister, Linda Fox of Spring Glenn, N.Y.; sisters-in-law, Helene Goetschius and her husband, Charles, of Wurtsboro, N.Y., and Lynda Kimmel and her husband, Doyle, of Poughkeepsie; brother-in-law, Charles Conklin and his wife, Eileen, of Flanders, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews.
