The son of Robert and Vivian Santangelo Allen, he was born July 20, 1970 in Goshen, N.Y. 1st Lieutenant Allen served the United States in the 101 Cavalry New York National Guard, 42nd Infantry Division. The daughter of Louis and Rose Quattro, she was born December 11, 1922 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. She was the widow of Patsey J. Amodio. Esposito, 30, of Suffern, N.Y., was killed June 8, 2005 in Tikrit, Iraq serving dutifully the country he loved. He was born in Bronxville, N.Y. on June 24, 1974 to Joan and Thomas Esposito. Phillip was a graduate of St. Anthony's School of Nanuet, N.Y. He was an Eagle Scout. Phillip graduated from Albertus Magnus High School, where he ran track and was co-captain of the Cross Country team. Phillip was his senior class Vice-President. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he served as a Cadet First Sergeant and Company Commander, reflecting his personal commitment and leadership abilities. He graduated from West Point in May 1997, entering active Army service as a 2nd Lieutenant in Armor Branch. Upon graduation, Phillip attended training at Fort Knox, Ky., followed by assignment to his first tank battalion at Fort Hood, Texas. He served with distinction in several leadership positions in the 3rd Battalion, 66th Armor before leaving active duty in 2000. Phillip was employed as Project Manager of Solomon Smith Barney prior to 9/11. He was called up to active duty to support the National Guard efforts in New York City. Following this activation, he was transferred to the storied 42nd Infantry Division (Rainbow Division) at Fort Drum, N.Y., where he served as a company commander in the 101st Cavalry, N.Y. National Guard. In November 2004, Phillip deployed as the Rainbow Division Headquarters Company Commander, stationed at Forward Operating Base Danger in Tikrit, Iraq. Phillip is survived by his wife, Siobhan Esposito (nee McMahon); and 19-month old daughter, Madeline Rose Esposito, the pride and joy of his world. Phillip leaves behind his parents, Joan and Thomas Esposito of Pearl River, N.Y.; and his father and mother-in-law, Andrew and Margaret McMahon of Bardonia, N.Y.; his sister, Alyssa Craparo; and maternal grandmother, Carmela Pestone. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. "Phillip was a devoted husband, father, son and brother, who will be severely missed and remembered as a true American Hero, who loved his country, family and friends immensely." He was a member of Monroe Temple of Liberal Judaism in Monroe; a Board Member of Timber Ridge #3 Association in Highland Mills; was a past president and member of Mid-Hudson Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals - CLU/ChFC; and was a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Mauer, a lifelong Liberty resident, passed away on Tuesday May 30, 2005 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, N.Y. He was 83. The son of Frank H. and Bertha Sagar Mauer, he was born September 10, 1921 in Liberty, N.Y. Howard was the retired custodian for St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Liberty. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Milligan, Francis Herbert Francis Herbert Milligan of Gettysburg, Pa., died Sunday June 12, 2005 at his home. He was 76. The son of the late Jay and Anna (Scott) Milligan, he was born August 4, 1928 in Middletown, N.Y. Mr. Milligan was a veteran of The Korean Conflict, serving with the U.S. Army. He was very active with the Boy Scouts of America for many years. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Harlene M. (Myers) Milligan, at home; two sons, Herbert W. Milligan of Gettysburg, Pa., and Eric J. Milligan of Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters: Mary Blake of Florida, Rhodella Guerney of Joppa, Md., and Louise Connington of Jackson, N.J.; and one grandson. Rozboril, 88, of Binghamton, passed away Sunday June 12, 2005 at Elizabeth Church Manor. She was predeceased by William, her husband of 52 years, in 1992; her brothers, Cyril, Roland and Elwyn Small; her parents, Ethel (Small) Cook and William Small; and step-father, Jesse Cook. She is survived by a daughter, Rita Rozboril of Otisville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd and April Rozboril of Vestal, N.Y., and Eric and Mary Rozboril of Binghamton; three grandchildren: Joseph, Luke and Molly Rozboril, all of Binghamton; sister, Marie Kelly of Binghamton; sisters-in-law, Anaise Small of Castle Creek, and Ellen Small of Binghamton; also several nieces, nephews, cousins and two dear friends, Elizabeth Petrie and Joan Franklin. She began her working career at the Whitney Point Reporter as a linotype operator and worked at Vail-Ballou, Grant's Department Store, Endicott-Johnson Corp., and Elizabeth Church Manor. Juanita was a 58-year member of the Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church, where she was the organist for 30 years. She served on numerous church committees and held many offices within the United Methodist Women's Society; was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader; a tireless volunteer for the Cancer Society and the American Heart Association; and was a member of the Hinman's Corners Fire Department Auxiliary. Juanita's hobbies included gardening, walking, reading, quilting, baking pies and cookies, watching the Yankee games, and attending the luncheons and "Box Car" games with the church's Seniors Without Partners. She also enjoyed playing the piano and accompanying Lillian Portney, who sang at local nursing homes. Mom was a kind, caring, and gentle woman; always giving and never taking. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, special grandmother, devoted sister, aunt, sister-in-law, neighbor and friend to all she met. She truly lived a Christian life and her memory will forever live in our hearts. She was born to Guadalupe Santos and Maria Felize Torres on March 10, 1906 in Puerto Rico. Francisca was the widow of Severiano Rodriguez, who died in 2000. She loved to play Scrabble and bingo and enjoyed babysitting for her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her loving children: Francisco Rodriguez of Puerto Rico; Gil Rodriguez of Connecticut; Ana Torres of New Rochelle, N.Y.; Carmen Correa of New Windsor; Rosa Martinez of Puerto Rico; Anna Delgado of Pelham, N.Y.; and Carmen Lazar of Florida; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Frances Umina passed onto God, peacefully at her home on June 7, 2005. She was 93 years old, born October 5, 1911 in Florida, N.Y. During her adult life she resided in Middletown for some 40 years, where she was a communicant at Mt. Carmel R.C. Church. Her remaining years were spent in the State of Florida where she then worshipped at Sacred Heart R.C. Church in New Smyrna Beach. She leaves behind her husband of 71 years, Anthony Umina, Jr. of New Smyrna Beach; a daughter, Lorraine Haskin and husband, Robert, of the Hamlet of Wallkill; a grandson, Robert Anthony Haskin and wife, Donna, and great-granddaughter, Alyssa of Clifton Park, N.Y.; a granddaughter, Kelly Haskin-Tenenini and husband, Richard, of Rexford, N.Y.
