(Ki Ki) Luis E. Alicea (Ki Ki), a former cook at West Point, died Saturday June 11, 2005 in Dorado, Puerto Rico. He was 69. He was born on May 17, 1936 to Miguel and Venancia Alicea in Dorado, Puerto Rico. Luis married his beloved wife Carole Morgan on November 21, 1964 at St. Francis Church in Newburgh. He lived in Newburgh for 45 years and just recently moved to Florida 4 years ago. Also he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife Carole (Morgan) Alicea at home; three children, Sandra Alicea, Luis E. Alicea Jr. and Michael S. Alicea; his mother, Venancia Alicea; nine grandchildren, Melissa Sanchez, Jordan Oglesby, Alexis Alicea-Clarke, Tara Alicea, Kayla Alicea, Evan Alicea, Damien Alicea, Andreous Alicea and Zion Alicea; three great-grandchildren, Mya, Jalen and Kylie; one brother, Santos Alicea; four sisters, Mercedes Alicea, Luisa Alicea, Catalina Sanabria and Matilde Alicea-Torres. He was predeceased by his father Miguel Alicea; one brother, Ricardo Alicea; and one sister, Miqulina Alicea. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday June 20 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Church in Newburgh. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in New Windsor, N.Y. Aquino died Thursday, June 16, 2005 peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. She was 86 years old. She was born May 24, 1919 to Joseph and Mary Mariano in New York City. On June 15, 1941 she married William J. Aquino Sr. at St. Mary's Church in Long Island City, N.Y. They were married 61 years, until his death September 24, 2002. Mrs. Aquino worked for many years as a lunch room aide at Minisink Valley Middle School in Slate Hill, N.Y. A family statement reads, "She was all about family, they were her life." Olga is survived by her sons, William Aquino Jr. and his wife, Joan, of Slate Hill, Thomas Aquino Sr. and his wife, Mary Lynn, of Slate Hill, with whom she resided; four grandsons, William Aquino III of Marietta, Ga., Thomas Aquino Jr. and his wife, Brandi, of Middletown, Stanley Aquino of Marietta, Ga. and Peter Aquino and his wife, Lillie, of Charleston, S.C.; one granddaughter, Laura Aquino of Charleston, S.C.; and three great-grandchildren, Taylor Montgomery Aquino and Kaitlyn Rose Aquino of Charleston, S.C. and soon to be born Logan Thomas Aquino of Middletown. Besides her husband, Olga was predeceased by her infant son, Robert; her brothers Frank, Sal, Sam, and Louis Mariano; as well as her sisters, Eva and Helen Mariano. Cortese, John Joseph John Cortese of Beach Lake, Pa., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 16, 2005. His widow is the former Doris Maas. They were married 55 years. John was born April 20, 1929 in Beach Lake, Pa., son of the late Diadato and Domoca Buono Cortese. John was the former owner of John Cortese Construction. He had been a member of the Narrowsburg Fire Department, Tusten Lions Club, and the Del View Rod and Gun Club. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Richard Cortese and his wife Beth, and Daniel Cortese and his wife Laura, both of Beach Lake, Pa., four daughters, Kathy Rish and her husband, Ed, of Dallas, Pa., Luanne Cole and her husband Don, Wendy Samson and her husband Gerald and Gail Fasshauer and her husband, Tom, all of Beach Lake, Pa., 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, one sister, Anna Mecca of Dunmore, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by eight brothers, Vincent, Daniel, Joseph, Fred, Frank, Carl, Dominic, and John. John was a devoted husband and father. His greatest enjoyment was having his large family around him. We will miss his towering presence, and look forward to the day that we will all be reunited. Daniels, of Monticello, a homemaker and longtime resident of the area, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 64. The daughter of the late Winborne Boyce and Ellen Brothers Boyce, she was born July 16, 1940 in Corapeake, N.C. She was the widow of Curtis Daniels who predeceased her on August 18, 1997. Margaret was a kind and loving mother, grandmother and great friend to all. She is survived by three sons: Larry Boyce of South Fallsburg, Allen Boyce of Sackett Lake and Curtis Daniels of Salisbury, MD; three daughters: Ellen Daniels, Bonnie Daniels-James (Lamar), and Mary Daniels, all of Monticello; eight grandchildren: Larry Jr., John Curtis, Jessica, Gene, Jennifer, Jason, Shea & Marcus; one brother: James Boyce (Cathy); two sisters: Lillie Boyce (Gene) and Avis McRae-Greene (Gene); a brother-in-law: Leroy Hepburn, all of New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Garcia, Angelo Angelo Garcia, of Long Eddy, N.Y., a retired Track Supervisor for Conrail, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, N.Y. He was 77. The son of Antonio and Carmen Garcia, Angelo was born on January 28, 1928 in New York, N.Y. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Obernburg, N.Y. McFadden, Dr. Cornell Dr. Cornell McFadden of Newburgh and Chapel Hill, N.C., a retired well-known physician, died peacefully on Tuesday June 14, 2005 at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, N.C. He was 87. The son of the late Reverend Ralph and Nina May Inman McFadden, he was born November 7, 1917 in St. Louis, Mo. Dr. McFadden grew up and lived in Newburgh, where he practiced OBGYN for 33 years (1949-1982). He earned his medical degree at NYU College of Medicine in 1943; interned at the Brooklyn Hospital from 1943-1944. He then served in the Army Corps of Engineers as a Captain from 1944-1946. He completed his residency in OBGYN at Jersey City Medical Center and Bellview Hospital from 1946-1949. He was a Chief of OBGYN service for ten years and Chief of Staff (1961-1962) at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, N.Y. Dr. McFadden performed many deliveries and surgical procedures at Cornwall Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Johnsie Patterson McFadden of Chapel Hill, N.C.; son, David C. McFadden and wife, Robin, and their two sons, Jake Paul Inman McFadden and Derek Cornnell McFadden, of Tuxedo Park, N.Y.; his daughter, Nancy J. Haley of Elizaville, N.Y.; and his sister, Kathleen and her husband, John Glover, of Houston. Dr. McFadden's first wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Brownlee McFadden, died of cancer in 1986 after 39 years of marriage. The daughter of the late James and Maud Accles Hunt, Maud was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on August 17, 1910. She is the widow of James A. O'Connor. Survivors include her sons, James O'Connor of Jensen Beach, Fla., Gerard M. O'Connor of Hauppauge, N.Y., and a daughter Mary C. Alverno Center in Warwick, passed away June 14, 2005 at the Schervier Pavilion in Warwick, N.Y. The daughter of the late Nicholas and Grace Manzoni Truppi, she was born November 7, 1911 in New York City, N.Y. Sr. Agnetta, a religious sister with the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor, was a Registered Nurse and a Public Health Administrator in Cincinnati, Ohio. She entered the convent on November 5, 1930 and took her final vows on November 4, 1938. This year would have been the celebration of her 75th anniversary. She is survived by her longtime friends, Diane and Peter Altbuck. She was predeceased by her sister, Rachel Truppi. Friends may call from 2-8 PM on Friday June 17, 2005 at Mt. Alverno Chapel, Warwick, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday in the chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Alverno Cemetery.
